#21342 - 12:36:55 PM; I needed to find a few few caches to top up the daily finds as well as contributing to some of many personal challenges that I'm slowly chipping away at. Decided a few caches around Mt Ainslie would be a good place to start. After collecting a few caches on the mountain, I headed further afield for some of the newer caches in the foothills. I'm sure I've cached here before as the surroundings had a look of familiarity. After a bit of hunting, I spotted the cache and managed to retrieve it from among some broken glass. Log signed, cache returned, glass removed and I was on my way again. TFTC Search 4
Found with alislaur, I wasn't feeling too good about the broken glass around given my worn out shoes but alislaur found it! TFTC )
Good hint, quick find. Another one of this series collected. Glad the cache has survived all the muggle drink activity that goes around on the seat here. Quite a nice seat too. Cheers Search 4!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. was here the first time dnf so this time for the second time got there and worked out in a second Told All7 as was with me sign and placed back where it belong TFTC
A quick find today. Biggest issue was not kneeling in all the broken glass when retrieving the cache. TFTC
Omg that's a good one. TFTC. You do need to find the right seat and look around.
Found it well hidden on a sunny Monday afternoon. Many thanks for the cache hide.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. With only light rain forecast we decided to take the GeoBikes back into the City and attempt the caches and AdLabs along Anzac Parade. With a quick stop at Duntroon to collect some previously missed caches. Unbeknownst to us out of towners the CBD was a bit of a traffic nightmare due to road closures for the Canberra Marathon. [B)] It took forever to move the last 1km.Once on the bikes things went a bit smoother. Mr Felix tackled mostly the AdLabs whilst Mrs Felix tackled the intercache and Wherigo. Before joining forces again and visiting the war memorial for the 3rd time this week to gather yet more information. The rain tried to get us but held off other than a couple of very light sprinkles. Looking forward to coming back here on 25th April 2024. TFTC Search 4
I spied this cache on the map a little while ago when having a coffee just down the road, but never went after it. Baristayan suggested a spot of night caching when she finished work this evening and this one just so happened to be on the target list!Took us a wee while in the dark before Yani finally honed in on the seat and made the discovery. Very nicely blended in! Thanks, we are thoroughly enjoying this series
Oh this took us a while in the dark!Im having post Mega withdrawals and also wanted to take my torch out for a spinThis was the first cache of the night and made us work hard!Luckily the torch was way better than a phone torch and in 8-10mins we had the cacheIts tricky at night time
Day 7 camped at Canberra Park for the Mega Event.Today we teamed up withthe Snakepitters, first on the agenda was the parade of flags. We then continued to find a few more caches in the morning.Official closing ceremony is over now & only a CITO left to attendThis was a great way to visit the area & to see the cityThanks Search 4 for hiding this cache.
After completing the Flag Parade we decided to grab what we could around the area plus some unfinished labs.Total Caches Found 15812TFTC Search 4
Find # 11035Nice quick find. We've travelled to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega event this Easter long weekend. We have parked our van at Capital Country Holiday Park for the next few nights and are looking forward to catching up with our old caching friends and meeting new friends.TFTC Search 4 31 March 2024 12:03
Welcome old friend always happy to spot one of these!A fairly quick and easy find.TFTC
Found it and theres something for everyone alright, especially spider fansCheers Steveo
First and only full day at the Mega in Canberra. Unfortunately work stopped me from staying longer. Great weather for caching today and all caches found with no problem, thanks to all the Canberra cache owners for placing them.TFTC Wilbert67
Wow, that was a real wake up call. Beer, cans, broken wine bottles, and other nastiness Aron Ground Zero. Thanks!
Found It!This took a lot of searching but eventually I found it. There's a lot of rubbish around here.TFTC
We were out and about today attending to other issues when we decided to pick up a cache. We saw where this was located and thought no, it couldn't be! But sure enough it was. There used to be another cache here and it was called "Car park of shame", which was the very first cache that we ever found back on 26.08.2011, now it is our 50k plus find. Thanks for the hide and the journey down memory lane Search 4.
It took a while for me to narrow into the seat but once I did the cache was quickly sighted and signed. TFTC Search 4!
Found with my adfa buddy olioliz on a lunchtime cache run. So cool to introduce someone else to the game. Thanks Sure4
First amazing experience with my dear colleague kittykacheFound it haha, so much fun! Love it
Found this suitably tricky cache after a couple circuits of the area.TFTC!
I had a little time up my sleeve before meeting someone, so swung by to take a look at this cache. Being quite familiar with the area (I used to do tree assessments in this car park), I knew where I'd be looking, just from the cache title. Didn't even bother to take my phone out of my pocket until the time came to save a draft log of 'found'. Very appropriate hide. Thanks for the cache, Search4
Quick find on a friday afternoon with no workers around. Spotted pretty quickly. Tftc
Got stuck on gps coordinates but was still cache blind until I read the description then looked up and BAM!there it was so obvious. TFTC
We waited until late in the day to drive here, since we knew the cars would all be gone for the day.We began our search at what is an incredibly beautiful pile of rocks. Most unexpected! After a short search, we found something that blended in beautifully here. Just right! Thanks Search 4Domsky
didn't find with ALL7 but will be back other time as we was worried about snakes

TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it We took a seat and looked around
This cache was certainly something for me today. That is the right distance away to allow me to find a cache while in this part of town with just a few spare minutes. The hint was very helpful once I made my way around and nothing the obvious seat. Thank you Search 4 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
#4372 After a multi just up the way I returned to the ve-hi-cle and made my way down here. Got a park right in front and meandered over. Took short stints at searching between passers by and was not having much luck. Finally looked a bit further and all became rather clear as the cache entered my line of sight. You all know how it goes from there. Retrieved, logged and replaced!!Thanks Search 4 for placing these variety of caches.
For the week before my departure for Adelaide and Darwin, I managed to get out each day to get a cache or two and complete the seemingly endless list of chores that need doing and all seem to cost a fortune. The rest of my day was TV, with plenty of baseball at this time of year.I spent the first part of the morning doing LABs around the parliamentary triangle and then headed to the north for a few caches. Thanks for the cache Search 444652.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 48 Finds A#292**Albida**
Awesome to see another cache utilising this hidden little carpark! If you don't work nearby, you probably haven't been here before! Given it was a weekend, it was completely empty and I could search unhindered! There was an old cache that used to be here, in the EXACT same rock pile! ( GC13H4M ) I found it 7 years ago in 2016, which I believe is also the last time I drove into this carpark! Many thanks, no troubles with finding this cache today once I was eventually in the right spot and actually understood the hint really was a hint!
#21169 @1830After catching up with family (including my 103 year old first cousin once removed) over lunch on the south side, I dropped by here. Cache soon found by torchlight. TFTC.
Found on the way home from my Geocaching.com Birthday events and the Canberra's First Geocache sample tour. Took a couple of minutes to find the "seat" and the cache. Nicely done! TFTC Search 4 (I hope you are enjoying your holiday)!
It was already dark by the time I got out of work and I was hungry. I needed a quick access cache and my beady little eye fell on this when I looked at the map.
Once I had an idea of the features of these boulders, I quickly found the cache.
I had to be a bit muggle aware, even though it was already 6 pm as some of the workers from nearby offices were also only just walking back to their cars.

After spending time looking I near my GZ, finally located 5m otherside of rocks. TFTC
A relatively quick find despite our GZ being out by 5m today. Beautiful boulders located in this area makes for good hiding spots. TFTC Search 4.
*FTF* after the nearby event. I was heading to another trad but decided this would suit nicely. Circled about looking until easily spotted, a nice cache hide. Was surprised at the blank log but happily accept! Thanks for the cache!
Found with Tankengine but just missed the first find, but did find the finder and chatted with Aquilus1 then headed off again. Tftc!!!
