Logs

Didn't really need much water as it sort of came apart when I started pouring. But log book there and I put it back together. Good one and thanks!

So cool TFTC

Logging as a DNF as there was a big scary spider living inside the top of the cache, I'm a wimp and I'm okay with that

#19 Caught the B1 up to Narrabeen. Stopped in at Collaroy on my return for the AL and a few nearby cache. I didnt have a bottle but soon found what was required after a bit of bin chicken action between cache. Thankfully a nearby tap. Quick find it sticks out and a tight fit here but made the grab with a swift movement, extra hand would have been nice. Thanks for placing this cache Dakotaspratt321 and for the recent community maintenance JFTF&DB3 #2925

OCW discobob3 to wear in some hiking boots and get some steps done. A very warm September day. Thankyou to the COs who have placed and maintained these caches. TFTCPerformed maintenance on behalf of CO at GZ.

Out for a walk around long reef and up towards Collaroy Plateau with jennyfromthefarm on a gorgeous sunny day. Bugs around the golf course at long reef were so bad and got out of there as quick as we could. Replaced cache with permission from owner as we passed today

As per the last finder, the cache seems to be missing. Also this seems like a Trad FYI.

#14848 13:10Ifollowing the instructions on the page, I drank the water. I then had to wait for the water to pass through my system before I could fill up the tube Much to my disappointment there was no cache popping up though.A cache check might be in order

Luckily it was pouring rain that floated the container to the top. Joking. I had looked at this one previously so knew that a drink bottle was going to be required as I walked around the loop. Not the best paper for a stamp. Tftc.

Very clever!

Fun idea, thank you Smile Luckily no spider today

Great find! The blue tape helped it stand out. It had a creepy guard in the pipe so beware

25-Jan-24
Im not normally up this way, but came here this morning for a training session and a swim and seeing this nearby couldnt resist. I do enjoy these style of caches, although it was made a lot more interesting today by a resident Huntsman which decided to come out and say hello at the same time as the cache!! The old log was destroyed from moisture, so Ive replaced it with a fresh log and returned to its hiding spot. Thanks for setting this one up in such a beautiful part of the world.

The log is sodden but we managed to float this for a find and scribe a semblance of initials. Still gets an FP for something different. TNLN TFTC

This was number 4 for me and batapus, and what an experience! We spied the bright blue tape from the path then trekked our way in the bush towards it. When we peered on the cache, we saw a huge huntsman which we knocked the cache with a stick to release it. Agreeing with the previous logs, it was too wet to sign so we took image proof to prove we found it.TFTC, #166 (first mystery)

Found it with Franode. Log is not possible, because Logbook is wet (photolog). Thanks for the nice idea

OCW frazeydaze along the the Northern Beaches. Frazeydaze quickly spotted this one from the path. We filled the container and the bottom section fell off. After log signing we pushed the two components back together- perhaps some glue is needed. TFTC

Caching with oldmorty.I love these caches. The cache was easily spotted through the bush and needs a little refinement as it fell apart when filling.TFTC

A warm sunny afternoon was perfect for geocaching. We took a few minutes to find a reasonable path into GZ. Fortunately we had read the cache notes before we got here and came armed with much more than we needed. Goodness, the container was hard to open! All inside is safe and dry. We were surprised the crossing of this busy road was not marked as a pedestrian crossing despite the bus stop and stairs in the wide median strip. SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek

Came here twice to try FTF but to no avail as the cache wasn’t placed yet! Argh. Anyways came back here and it was a quick find and the cache nearly peed on my phone. TFTC just over 300 mL water did it for us.

Parking near this GZ is tricky if you don't wish to pay.
So I left the geomobile quite a long way away. I read the hint and being short thought I had better carry something to help me reach the cache. This must have looked amusing to passing driving muggles as I walked along to GZ carrying my TOTT.

Once near GZ even with only 2 previous finders there is considerable evidence of people having trampled around in this bush area - which is NOT GOOD for the environment and any creatures which may live in this piece of bushland.

It is not necessary as the co-ordinates are really good and take you straight to the cache.

Did what was required and soon had my name on the logsheet.

FTF @ 9:48 am.

We spent quite some time here yesterday wandering around GZ, but nothing cache (pipe) like was spotted, and we were happy to leave it for someone else to find. But then the CO posted a maintenance log confirming it was there, and that it was 2 metres up in a tree, so we decided to stop off on our way to a shopping trip at Mona Vale to have another look.

Parked the geomobile in the same place as yesterday, up in the very back corner of the Long Reef Beach parking area, then headed up the boardwalk and into the scrub to a very familiar GZ. Hey what's this, a very obvious cache installed at about eye level, how could we both have possibly missed that! And the discarded cardboard centre from a roll of Nitto tape and a white cable tie, which we collected and disposed of responsibly - our CITO contribution Smile

Anyway, regardless of all that, we are just glad to have found it today. Applied the H2O, which was much less than the recommended two litres, and soon had CIH. Opened up the internal container to find a blank log, which was duly signed as FTF, and then replaced (reset) everything as it had been found. TFTC Dakotaspratt321, it's a nice bit of handiwork, well done.

Stopped by for a look at and around the posted coordinates, but failed to find any trace of a pipe, except for an old piece of gal pipe that had nothing to do with the cache. Given that this is listed as a Mystery cache it's possible that it's not at the posted coordinates (nothing mentioned in the cache description), but if that's the case we don't know how to work out the actual coordinates, so will leave it to others to have a go. Will put it on the watch list.

It’s there just looked in tree about 2 meters off ground

16-Aug-23
If it's 2 metres off the ground in a tree, why is the terrain rated at 1.5 ?

15-Aug-23
Up and running

Came back with 2L water and again left with 2L water! Checked everywhere for anything resembling a pipe. Don’t know what’s going on here. Is it an elaborate prank? I have no clue. Hope someone with more luck can locate this one.

13-Aug-23
We came with 2L water and left with 2L water. Looked around where GPS was getting 1m for anything that resembles a pipe but alas there was nothing. It was either
A) We didn’t look hard enough
B) The coords are way off
C) The cache hasn’t been placed yet.

Also how did you submit for review after it had been published? Are you a Russian hacker infiltrating geocaching.com server!

Anyways will be back when more info will be revealed or it is confirmed in place. Nice location.

13-Aug-23
No I’m not a hacker. Must have been a glitch. All my caches have been stolen so I have had a lot to do sorry.

13-Aug-23
Sorry guys this cache was disabled bc the container was broken and had to be replaced. It was not suppose to be up yet

12-Aug-23
Why is this cache disabled?

You need to write a reason, not just a dot which isn't very helpful for geocachers hoping to find it.
