After a very enjoyable, but exhausting , nine days of GCLogan events, I had 2 full days left before flying back to NZ. To maximise the value of these 2 days, a plan was hatched with GG1 and M65 to target some special caches on the Northside that would help me with possibly two further D/T loop completions. Their help was invaluable, with local knowledge ensuring the best route was taken to fit in as many high quality caches as possible today. Day two today and a little bit later start, but we still didn't stop till well after dark..... With my hosts well prepared for any tott we might need today, it was not too much trouble, even for an old guy, to access this one and sign the log. Don't quite qualify yet, but it's a challenge to work towards. TFTC

Knew there were a fishin' caches in the area and somehow missed this was a tree climb. Really need to read descriptions properly as I've been caught before blundering in and not being equipped properly. As things go, I went up the tree with the posse ready to catch the fall with cameras ready. For the eligibility, the computer says yes so I'm logging this challenge. Thanks GreenGecko1 for setting up this challenge.TeamARF has used Project-GC Challenge Checker to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.Total attribute requirement fulfilled with 98 unique attributes (94 needed x 1).

A day off means a day trip to Brisbane to go caching with Peppa. A pile up on the Bruce hwy has changed our original plans and north Brisbane has become our new target area.We continued our walk up and down the hills and arrived at GZ. Peppa is in charge of pole work which means I do the climbing, once in the tree it was a nice easy climb and I added our names to the log. Will check to see if I qualify. Thanks GreenGecko1

A New Year brings resolutions and some new goals. My current goal is to get my hiking fitness in order for an upcoming 3 day hike over Australia's highest dozen mountains in early February. This morning, I decided that a few geocaches along some selected Camp Mountains fire trails would help the days step count and put some altitude into the legs. The up has started and being mid morning it is hot. So I enjoyed the shade in the tree, before downing the tools and making the climb. Everything was in good order here. I was a little surprised to find that I qualify for this one. So I went for a walk to grab a couple of caches in this area. While I am trying to keep up my own personal challenges, I need this challenge cache to fill in a gap. On my challenge grid. The plan for the other caches in the area were just that, as I was there, well that was the plan. I should have checked the attributes of the other caches and this one. I took a small rope just in case and yes it came in handy for this cache. However, the other cache that I passed needed a tool, hmm and as I needed to come back, I left the other for another day. This was a nice climb and yes with my rope, I used it for a boost and then I was up and on my way. This was a fun climb and I am sure I could have gone a different way, lol. With the log signed and the cache replaced as found I was unfortunately done in this area for the day. Thanks for the challenge, yes I qualify for this challenge. On a lovely spring morning in South east Queensland, headed out with a few goals in mind. I had a few more Wherigos to reach a new level in project GC and a few caches towards my third DT loop. My geowagon is out of service still so I had to take the van. Found a safe place to park and off I went.It wasnt long before I arrived at Ground zero and located the cache. After securing the prize I made my mark and returned the cache to its lace of rest. Its now time to head to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.CheersS

22-Oct-23
Slowly but surely filling my tenth DT grid, I made plans to hike this hill to target a nearby cache but had to attempt the rest while I was here. Im not one to climb a hill twice if I dont have to, after all. We started early this morning before the day got too warm, turning right at the top of the first hill before realising we needed to be on a different track. A short cross country traverse put us on the right track, then we puffed and panted our way up, around and over the hills until we arrived here.Mr DisSister made short work of the climb and we soon had our name in the log.Im still working towards qualifying for this one. Thanks GreenGecko1

I had the forenoon free before heading to the Sunshine Coast Airport to pick up a friend, and heard grannysmith1947 wanted to do this trail, so I agreed to accompany her. With some miscommunication, we started at the top instead of the bottom entry at Wessling Close, which resulted in collecting the caches taking much, much longer than it should have.Snickersallan fulfills challenge Leo Challenge (GCACDJN) according to https://project-gc.com/ChallengesTotal attribute requirement fulfilled with 102 unique attributes (94 needed x 1).Thank you, THE GREEN GECKOS, we had to use teamwork to reach this one. Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.

Before today’s service and with assistance of greencordial I made a plan to attempt to find the 4 DT’s I need to complete loop 13.

I left the ladder down the hill and easily climbed to reach this one. Signed in bark but a way to go to tick it off. 77/94 done.

It was nice to sign below Karicka for most. Thanks GreenGecko1 for adding to my day.

Some plans were hatched with a local and some Sydney Siders for a 3 day quick caching trip which involved getting the boat out, yaks, mud, poles, ladders, trees etc. Plenty of solving was done and routes plotted. The boat, the MV Grumpy lived up to its name with some cantankerous displays and the need for running repairs on serval occasions so our timetable had to be amended on more than one occasion.
Day 3 was planned to be a land day well with a few trees as well. A few TOTTS where bought but the inner monkey made short work of this one.
A number of us have thought we have previously been the victims of caching identity theft by that mysterious mob called the GOM’s. As a result and given it felt like a bit of a mega the logs were signed MegaGOM. TFTC

Day 3 of MegaGOM boating and tree fishing expedition with **bella at waggy**, **Baktrak**, **Purplepeopleater** and an anonymous local.

After 2 days on the water, it was time to remain on terra firma. But we still caught some fish, and for some, it was a big slog up a steep hill. Towards the end of the day, it was a mad dash mopping up around the airport and still managing to get through security on time.

Enjoyed all the caches and the company was reasonable as well.

Lugged a huge ladder around this group of caches. Was it necessary???

Together with Crash2079, Baktrak, bella at waggy and a notorious QLDer this was day 3 of the MegaGOM's special edition Brisbane adventure.
Sans the boat today, there were far less mishaps other than losing a certain member of the party for some time.

Caches all found and in good condition.

*FTF* First to Find at 06:07 hr.
I had been responsible dad over the last couple of days, so no running off in the wee hours during a few rounds of geocache publishes. But with mum back and this cache yet to have a find, I thought I would plan an early start.

What a terrific area - I can see a lot of potential around! Once I arrived at GZ, I soon spotted the cache and ascended upwards. A fun tree climb, but the bark wasn’t the nicest to hold to; gloves would be nicer. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks THE GREEN GECKOS for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Full log to follow, including evidence of my challenge requirement.
