Tftc! I came for it yesterday but was unsuccessful, and it was a relief to find it today!!
TFTC! 14 September 2024 5:05:59PM 8456 thanks to JDC_Crew for the cache! Found it in the end!
Nice spot. Thankfully even with all the people around it wasn't too awkward to spot. TFTC
I was out for a morning stroll and as it was all quiet at GZ I took the opportunity to seek and find...it took a few minutes and then the cache was in hand..the log was signed and replaced as foundthanks JDC_Crew for bringing me to this unique spot cheers from NZ
We are staying with friends close by. We when on a long walk of discovery and ended up here. With four of us looking it still took a few minutes to locate this nicely tucked away cache. Thanks for bringing us here.
It was definitely not the day for this, so cold and windy. At least I had no onlookers during the search. After a little time I saw where the cache was hidden then retrieved and logged it. Thanks for a great seaside hide.
Beautiful pools near by. Travelling fromCanada and spending a day e plotting the area. TFTH
My Favourite Geocache find so far, thoughtful in its placement and a beautiful view to match!
Forgot to bring my jumper which had a pen in the pockets so couldnt sign sorry. Have a photo if needed. Thanks for the cache! Chilly day out!
Up the coast for another Newy geocaching adventure. Both traditional and AL finds after a work gig today, even with heavy wet weather on the way for the weekend. TFTC JDC_Crew
Good to find this cache on a day when there's no one around. There is a pencil in the cache! Tftc.
Quick search had it on hand. Sadly no pen so you will have to trust me! Off to work now
Took a little while to come up with the goods but got there in the end. Thankyou for placing and maintaining the cache series and allowing me to discover a new area.TFTCGeneric overly-detailed summation of the day:Weather report: sunny and clearCaching conditions: muggles at the beach but only got muggles out of one cache, GPS satellites talking nicely to my phoneSnack situation: decent: got an aai cup and a can of sugar free v. I did not eat my apples. Maybe tomorrow?Public toilet status: Plenty of them, bar beach has the unfortunate paper squares that feel more like printer paper than toilet tissue.Munzee distractions: none today, probably because I had so many caches up in the air.Weirdos encountered: none, thankfully!("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._ `6_ 6 ) `-. In Newcastle for work and a walk down the. Beach for a spot of caching and sightseeing - a quick find at GZ. All is good with the cache TFTC
#7697 Nice sunset! We went for a bit of a shoreline drive after some afternoon chores, and with traffic at a low ebb, and parking plentiful, stopped by here to have another look after our recent DNF.This was fairly tricky, I may not have called it a D1, I missed it on my pass, before Samuel doubled back and spotted it. Thanks for the cache, and thanks for maintaining it...
#7697DNF avenged! It was missing during our last attempt, but today we made a relatively quick find. Nice hide, the ocean is certainly getting to that wire though! TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache JDC_Crew
With everyone watching the surfers on the big waves no one paid any attention to me .Found in the last one left after checking all the other spots in the structure. So many people here today, hate to see it when it got busy.TFTCIronbark
Love searching around rock pools!Day 12 were now slowly heading Sydney before making our way to the Easter 2024 Canberra Geobash. Thanks JDC_Crew for placing this here, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Popular place today. Not quite budgie weather for me but for some! Found on the Mega Capital Geobash coastal loop via Adelaide - Barrington - coast to Mexico City loop. A lot of caches and white line fever was sweated out. Thanks JDC_Crew and clear skies from TeamAstro. catching up on logs, found two nights ago great cache in a clever spot!! slightly tricky to find at night but that makes it all the better tftc!
This was a tough one! Was about to give up when i spotted it in the end. TftC! Frtau
Find #1849Found after a fair search. Come into Newcastle tonight for a swim and my four caches for the souvenir. This was number 3. Cache and log was in great condition. TFTC
As per previous log, cache is now micro, will update to reflect changeHappy caching!
Always been a hard one to find with so many people here all throughout summer, especially with the NOB reopening. Came by around 8am this morning after a swim to get it. Took a bit of a search but spotted it after a short search. Tftc!!! #2261 great spot
I think I kept forgetting to log my DNFs. Theres always been muggles at the GZ whenever I come or they come while I am there so I have to abandon my search. Today there was some muggle mums and little kids but I waited long enough for them to leave. Pretty good for 3pm on a hot day!! Really I must admit I struggled with this cache and after finding it, I understand why. The cache I wouldnt say its a small, its more classed as a micro so I dont know if maybe the cache put the wrong size or they replaced it with a smaller cache. Well off a swim! TFTC
Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it JDC_Crew.
Took a while, especially given the small space to search. Had looked and felt everywhere but there. Systemic search payed off, nice place for a cache see the views, all in good order. Thank you JDC_Crew for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
We were a bit nervous after a couple of DNFs but its there, as per hint. Coords were reasonable so we picked a spot, worked methodically and there it was. A few photos later and we were off to dinner! TNLN TFTC
First to write in the new log book. Really well hidden under a busy area, we just had to step through the process! TFtC.
Coordinates changed from:S 32 55.781 E 151 47.406Coordinates changed to:S 32 55.779 E 151 47.399Distance from original: 37.8 feet or 11.5 meters.Construction in area caused cache location to be removed, have relocated in nearby
Cache location was comprimsed by construction in the area, have moved nearby and updated the cordinates
Need to check this as construction seems to have affected it, will check hopefully in the next few days
No luck today.. we had a good look, with help from past finders, the area has had a lot of work it could be gone
I tried and failed to find this cache, gave the area a good search and came back the next day again. Thank you JDC_Crew for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
I had a good look around for this but with the works being done im unsure if it is still available
First cache of the day today. Got in 6 finds with 3 DNF's before the rain sent me home again. THis had a mugel sitting on the end of wall, reading his phone, so once i had zeroed gz, which was inside the fencing, i sat for 5. He was not moving, and i had looked around whilst waiting, and thought i could only be in 1 spot, so i stood/leaned to block his view, and soon had cache in hand. Its been called the canoe pool for as long as i can remember. TFTC.
After visiting some caches in Hamilton, I headed back to the station and caught a train to Newcastle Interchange and the light rail to Newcastle Beach. Following my GPSr around to the rock pool, my heart sank when I saw that it was pointing me right into a construction zone. Looking through the recent logs, though, suggested that maybe all hope wasn't lost and, along that line of thinking, I spotted something accessible that I thought would be worth checking out. Except there was a family of muggles sitting right where I wanted to look. Isn't that what always happens?Fortunately, I didn't have to wait too long for them to move off and it turned out my hunch was right. I'd just signed the log, put the cache back and taken my photo when another group of muggles approached, so I timed it just right. Many thanks for the hide in this nice spot, which I'm sure will be a lot nicer when the construction work is finished.
TFTC JDC_crew. Took us a little bit to find it. Great hide. Nice to see some new caches in the area. FP from us.
Night time cache hunt tonight after smashing some wood fired pizza for my birthday. GZ looked a bit sketchy with all the construction and fencing. Hint threw us off a bit. Maybe its been changed here? Anyway got the find after maybe going somewhere where we shouldnt have. TFTC.
out caching with Goldberry17, 2pods and techsavvy9 today. It was really hard to be stealthy here when there were so many muggles but they were more interested in swimming than looking at us, a quick find and we were on our way again. Thanks for the cache JDC_Crew tnln replaced as found sl
Very tricky to be stealthy with most of Newcastle at the beach today! Found with techsavvy9, Mighty Minions with guidance from 2pods. Thanks for placing this cache in such a lovely spot
TFTC. When we arrived at GZ and lots of muggles around we knew it would be a sneaky find so a bunch of people in hiking boots were not seen as weird at the beach. I knew where it would be when we got to GZ and Goldberry retrieved it for us. This place brought back lots of memories when I was a young mum and brought my daughter here to swim.
Wanted to get here early before all the crowds, but the rain put us off. When we arrived, there were many more workmen around than surfing crowds. Good hint. TF to C
