Out for another magical mystery tour with Doctor Owl up to the hills and beyond on another perfect day for caching. We started off with a bit of maintenance then revisiting a couple of DNF's in suburbia before heading for the hills. Another fun day with a variety of caches found along with a lunch stop in Tanunda. This one took a while as we expected...we concentrated on the area that the hint referred to but couldn't put our hand on a cache. After going over things a few times we resorted to a PAF and soon after the cache was found in a spot we had both felt previously!!! I do love these sculptures, so clever of the artists. Thanks for the cache -Beaker-
Owl had an errand and some maintenance to do so naturally JJ52 agreed to come along and round out the day with more cache finding. Owl wasn't exactly on the ball to start with but the Dragon was on fire and soon passed the spark on to Owl. Not so much with this cache. Owl always feels awkward about hunting for caches in front of operational businesses and they ended up resorting to a PaF. Which had the magical effect of an instant find!
#24717. Good to have found one micro on a large metal object during out trip. Nice sculpture. TFTC.
After visiting the nearby beautiful Chateau Tanunda, which even on a drizzly day looked spectacular, we stopped by to visit the jaguar. What a fantastic sculpture, the artist is so clever using vehicle parts in this way. A pity it is not closer to the road as it is lost up against the building. With the aid of the cell phone torch, we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.
Found during my caching trip to the Barossa for a week. Thanks -Beaker-.
Off to Barossa Valley for an overnight trip with Erine14! Thanks for the cache!
We almost didn't stop here but decided to give it a go.Thanks to the hint the cache was found fairly quickly.TFTC
I'm glad Waldron showed his experience today and found it quickly. I'm sure I had looked and felt there! A fun find with Team Waldron. We decided to do a loop to join the jigidi pieces and to join a few other dots as well. An early start was the order of the day.| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |Thanks to -Beaker- and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. So glad for the clue. Didn't take as long and I first thought when I saw the structure. Sure was an impressive creation, trash turned into tasteful art. There is a similar clydesdale horse sculpture in the Barossa too.Oh how I really really loath these tiny nano suckers. TFTC
Wow, this is really impressive. Some amazingly talented people out there well worth a visit. Thanks for bringing us here.
I spent a lot of time with this cat. Far too long. But with a bit of perseverance and a lot of touching the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Found after a search in the morning half light. Started to rain - the first rain this year the locals tell me. TFTC.
Day 2 of a trip to the Barossa Valley to do some of the Five Oh and Barossa geoart series, as well as any others that are nearby.Manage to get 131 finds for the two days. All caches were found in good condition unless mention otherwise in log. TFTC
Found with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip. Enjoying the countryside around Nuri today. Ww started at the wrong end, but found quickly when in the correct place. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Nuriootpa to cache the surrounds. Tricky hide. Thanks for the hide.
took some searching, but soon had the cache in hand. very cool creation, absolutely love it! the log book is quite full so will need replacing ASAP. thanks for the cache!
Found with CPwanderer. Cleverly hidden. Logsheet needs replacing.TFTC -Beaker-
Found after a short search with Gizmos Gang. The log sheet is close to full but we managed to squeeeze in our initials!! A favourite!!
#13989 8:20Day 4 of our Adelaide trip, staying overnight in Barossa Valley. Of course some wine tasting was on the menu, but this early of day, I first did a few of the caches in and around the town of Tanunda. What a beautiful work of art, and great to see old scrapyard stuff being recycled like this. Cache was found in an interesting spot.TFTC Beaker.
Our great adventure begins - we're spending 4 weeks in Australia. We flew in on the red-eye from Singapore and landed at 8h40 in ADL - and 30mins later we're already outside. We'll get the rental and then it's off to Barossa Valley, where we will spend the first day. Tried after a wine tasting nearby but nothing found. Maybe it's too bright with the sun to see anything, and not knowing what kind of spiders live in there we rather not feel around. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Just realised I didn't log the find for this one. Found with Sidewaze, bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie caching as SPBINZ. Very cool sculpture, thanks for bringing us here -Beaker-#16468
last cache of the day and what a great one it was. Wonderful sculpture - so much work has gone into that. The pesky little cache was finally found by braille methodology in a place we had all looked before. Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). TFTC -Beaker- its worth a favourite. Kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 22,022**tepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**
Caching with team SPBINZ, Sidewaze, Paddle chick, bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie. I really enjoying touring the countryside, taking in the scenery, tasting the odd grape and of course finding lots of caches. We did some admiring of this great sculpture and looking, and looking - - - . Then thankfully one member of the team deciphered what the hint must mean and a second extricated the cache. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Aotearoa / New Zealand.
Found with the Nelson crew. Staying in the Barossa for next few days so off to find caches Took about to find here
I found this cache with The Booos while in Adelaide for the Great Leap forward Mega Event a nice quick find here today TFTC
The Booos are in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward.A quick find on a great object at the temp hit 39 Thanks -Beaker- for placing this cache.
I was half expecting some sort of Mattycat cache here, so a nice surprise when I arrived at GZ and found this artwork, worlds away from all things viticulture. I drove a Jaguar from Palm Springs to San Francisco some years back happy days. I enjoyed this cache and so wont employ the nano rant here - its the appropriate cache for the job here. Thanks -Beaker-, a favourite.
Out caching with my caching buddy, MrsShep77, and our faithful drivers. Thanks for the great hides.
I can happily report that in an early stage of my life, I actually owned a 'Leaper'. It was attached to the bonnet of my 1962 Mark II. Sadly we parted ways after a few years. Nice to examine this impressive statue and probe its cavities to search for a small container. Replaced as found. Thanks for the experience, -Beaker-. FP4U
Out in the Barossa from Adelaide today, its time for a few more caches around this areaQuickly found and log signedTFTC
Felt like a dentist looking for a cavity might come back a little bit later with a fresh head and a couple of beers in me
Found this with gridge98 on a day out in the Barossa, after Parkrun on a lovely Saturday morning. TFTC!
These pieces of art are always amazing and the skill that goes into them. With the hint here the cache was easily found and is all goodToday Courtneyrose_ and I headed to parkrun near Williamstown, after a morning jog we stopped to find a few caches recently published in the Barossa. Thanks for the cache
Up for a short break, an awesome sculpture Found after a short search TFTC
Detoured on the return home from a visit out to the mallee near Blanchetown, finding a few caches along the way. Great sculpture! Missed the cache on the first pass, but had a closer look on the second, and there it was. Thanks for the cache -Beaker-!
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa In the area sight seeing today. Loved the sculpture at GZ, very nicely made. Could have taken much longer than it did, I guess we were lucky today.Tftc
Ocw the Bebes as we visit the area. Used the hint and made a quick find. Tftc
Found by Mary and David at 16:20. Of course you would have something to do with a vehicle. A FP for such a magnificent sculpture. Our thanks to -Beaker-.
Time for another tuesday caching adventure with Mattycat, with no set plan for the day we found ourselves in the northern suburbs, with a time deadline to be back for the cat there was still a little daylight left after being dropped off at the geomobile, so decided to have a look at this one on a circular route home, expecting a challenge was pleased to feel it in the first spot we checkedTFTC -Beaker-
Visiting sister at Tanunda. With The Leaping Cat close by I only took a few minutes to walk there & find. Took longer to sign & roll up & replace. Walked away with a Cheshire Cat smile. Tftc
Awesome sculpture.Thought the name Joel Zimmermann was familiar, as is the style of sculpture. He also made Clyde, who we've admired many times.TFTC -Beaker-
The dynamic duo set out for Monday meander.Wow what a wonderful sculpture.Lucky for me I was here with a previous finder.Other wise it could have taken me ages to find this one. Tftc
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.Moving today from Sedan to Greenock. Once the van was dropped off we hit the road to try and find some caches nearby. Spring is in the Air, lots of flowers and the crops are looking almost ready!TFTC -Beaker-
Thanks for the hint. I pretty much found it in the first place I felt. Insert nano rant here.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word badge again. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Thanks
Time this cat met that one!
Unsurprisingly, there have been a couple of Jags in the house of cat over the years
Had a drink at a nearby brewery and learned a little of the Lindner history too.
Must return when open!
Our grateful thanks for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance -Beaker- .

Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
On the road again, with Mr Froghoppin, caching along the way wherever we go
[^] [^]
In a hazardous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid objects falling from trees
- - - a cache a day keeps the boredom away
--------
Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on
(Covid cancels caching! - Flu finished fun!))
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
Special thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]
The end. For now... ... until next time!

GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... be there or be backward!

And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... it'll be out of this world
After chatting to the CO, I thought I had better go out and find this one, so headed out after work and after a short search, soon had the cache in hand! TFTC

The streak continues.
It's a new month so the streak needs servicing.
Managed to struggle outa bed a little bit earlier than normal but still a couple of hours after two caches were published. One had already been found but this one still had no logs on it, so quickly made a coffee for the road and headed toads GZ. Had read enough to realise it might be a lengthy search but nothing ventured, nothing gained and it was for the first FTF for the month. Got to GZ and parked near the excellent sculpture in an empty carpark, as being sunday, the Barossa Jaguar museum was closed. After a good look at the sculpture admiring it's construction, the search began, and in almost no time I had the SOS in my hand, so no need for the usual rant. Carefully unrolled the log and saw what I was hoping for, the FTF position was blank. Carefully wrote my name, time and date within the first position, then replaced the cache in the same place it was found. Now to work out what other caches will need to be found on the long and winding road home.
Now I can relax until next month.
Thanks to -Beaker- for the cache and the chance to continue the streak.
