Neat hide here. Great work. Thanks.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is moon's day the twenty third day of the septimus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. It was so windy today. A few showers. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 6 - Morgan to Jamestown via Burra and Hallett. After a fun day around Morgan yesterday, it was time to move on. A very cold night last night. I did a few roadside caches along the way, but I spent most of my caching day around Burra. I have done quite a bit of caching in Burra before, but it was great to see a wonderful collection of caches to be attempted today. I even managed two sets of Labs, including a good walk around the mine site. As I headed over to Jamestown, there were a few caches that drew attention to the huge wind farms on all of these ridge lines. My last cache ended up pretty much being where I stopped to camp for the night. Into town for dinner tonight.Despite all the DNFs, I got out and had a bit of a look around. The GZ area was a bit ambiguous, but in the many places I poked around in, failed to locate a cache here today. Thanks.Albida
Too good for us this time. A bit self-conscious with the house and garden centre so close by. We'll be back to another time.We had an enjoyable afternoon in Burra. We did the two AdventureLabs and while going to the last point of interest in the mine AL, we spotted a fire on the southern hill. Phoned it in, and watched as it raced toward the house lower down. Thankfully, from our vantage point, all property was saved by the firefighters. An interesting afternoon, to say the least!Lunch at Waters, and hot chips from the roadhouse for the trip home. Nice
So we had to take Bella home and if you are going to drive 3 hours north you might as well turn it into a caching adventure. We were in the 4WD so I got to choose some interesting tracks for Wayne to play on. Any caches that needed some attention got it.Thanks to MrSilenceDogood from mogni .
Found the cache after widening the search in the logical spot. I had co ords out by 9 meters. Quick find as i have seen this type of hide many times before, nice to see it's not a mint tin.Found with Mogni. This was a very, very last minute trip.I found out that i had to be in the " clare region " the next day by lunch the next day on muggle business. After that business was over i headed up to jamestown to get a 2001 cache via any adventure labs or caches i haven't found before staying in a B& B in Penworthm. Now it was time to start heading home via dirt roads to Burra for the new Adventure lab and then down every dirt road/track with caches on it and the odd track that needed the hubs locked on the ute. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Found it eventually after we approached from the right direction. P.S. BRIDGE TERRACE/CREEK STREET are NOT roads as we found out when we got to the cache end. No gate or barricade to stop us driving through at the south end..we feel pretty silly now.. Clever hide TFTC
A bit of a cold blustery day for caching but needed a break from the routine, went for an afternoon drive to check out the two new caches in Burra, as we walked up to GZ went with our gut and found in the first place we checked, a style of hide we have seen a few times over the yearsTFTC MrSilenceDogood
Found while staying in the thriving metropolis of Farrell Flat for the weekend .Today we made a loop along the Old Burra Road, up to Booborowie, then over to Burra and return .This one took us awhile to locate , eventually found 11m out on a clear day [|)].TNLNSL.Thanks MrSilenceDogood.
This was the third of many for naughtybunny and I today as we go around Burra. We didn't even realise how new this one was! There was a guy varnishing the posts near GZ, so we quickly explained to him what we were doing. He just shook his head and went back to doing what he was doing. After looking in the obvious spots, the cache was eventually found. Nice hide! TNLN. Cheers.
Not a quick find with Chookster during a short break in Burra. It probably would have been quicker if Chookster checked that exact spot rather than me... he found it there after I'd already checked there...
I didn't realise this was such a new one, joint Silver for us!

Saw this one hit the map around half past eight this morning...
Do we change our plans for the day for a maybe FTF?
Nah... there'll be others. Big day out planned and this would mess with the timing!
Maybe check it later. Much. Later.
[:o)]
So after being out of phone signal range for most of the afternoon, sometime after eight pm, around 12 hours post publication, we found ourselves getting signal again somewhere north of Waikerie.
[?]
So just for laughs we checked the cache status...
[^] Green for go! Still no finds half a day after going online
So... Burra is close to Waikerie, right ?
(Di totally encouraged me here, I blame her for the late night )
So off we went in a north westerly direction, roughly, and found ourselves at the copper mining hub of Burra. St Just in time
A quick perusal of GZ had the cache in hand. A neat little hide indeed.
Gets a fav for the complete absence of mint tins, and tidy camo - even if there were a lot of earwigs living there too... [:o)]
{FTF} achieved with Purrfect Di and Jack at 2140hrs. A pleasant surprise after a long day out.
It was another fun day caching and other stuff with Jack and Purrfect Di.
Our sincere appreciation for the nice new clever cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance MrSilenceDogood .
Off to find your other newish one!

Special thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
