We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to artesiancacher for the generation of this nice cache Rest Area - Take a break (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. After using Longreach as a base for a few days, we headed east this morning to get to Emerald by the end of the day. Of, course we cached along the way. This is one of the caches we looked for.Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks artesiancacher for the cache.
On our travels we found ourselves in Ilfracombe and took the opportunity to grab a few caches a nice quick find thanks to the hint, thanks for placing this cache

Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 28 - Mount Isa - Barcaldine, Queensland (750 km)Vera naveer jsem dojela do hornickho msteka Mount Isa, takov mini Ostravy, kter le opravdu v kopcch, a to skoro do posledn chvle nevypadalo. Dnes tedy m dal cesta vedla prvnch 150 km vysoinou, pak 100 km bu a dalch asi 400 km kolem nedozrnch pastvin dobytka. Prost dnes se den vydail a ztra m ek posledn dlouh pejezd na pobe a pak 3 noci na jednom mst, abych si trochu odfrkla.I spend all day on the Hwy from Mt. Isa to Barcaldine. I found some caches on the road, saw many monuments, hills and mesas. I try to find an only cache in McKinley and I got my car stuck in the mud. The local nice old men helped me and pulled the car out. The biggest surprise awaited me at the cache at the train station in Winton. I found the cache and suddenly I see a whole group of kangaroos coming from the station. I drive thousands of kilometers through the wilderness to see them, and they take the train ! Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache artesiancacher. Nice easy grab here.RVCL.

Attended QOGM 2023 with Imbunda and now making our way home. Stopped along the highway to pick up a few straggler caches we missed at the end of the Muster. Here we made a quick find. Thanks to all cache owners for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and after taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for so now a new day.The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first one and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I had a big drive ahead of me to my next accomodation which was Ilfracombe as Im staying at the pub just to tidy a few things up.Roaming Howie and I headed to Barcie for the day and we are on our way back to Ilfracombe to finish up for the day.Just a few back along the Hwy to finish off the day. Thanks artesiancacher TFTC.
A sad day for us today, QOGM is finished and the realisation that this is the final QOGM for this area, then it will be onto QBash in SEQ. We are on our way home to Victoria, unfortunately due to appointments that were booked prior to our decision to attend QOGM it will be a quick trip home. SL TFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:We had passed by the three times in out travels. Finally we stopped for a quick find. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Days 18 to 21 : QOGM is over . It took 11 days to cache our way up here from South Australia but I need to be back in just four for my lad's birthday and an specialist appointment. [^] So it was time to say goodbyes, put our CITO bag in the bin and hit the roads home. We made some time for the new lab caches and a couple of caches we were passing on the way out and along the way but otherwise it was averaging over 500 kms per day to keep the schedule. Here are the caches we made some time for. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks artesiancacher for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Day 22. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.We sadly said goodbye to our fellow team mates The_Tritonz after celebrating Ms_Tritonz birthday, and I set off for a day caching with posums in Barcaldine. Not too far of a stretch. Thanks artesiancacher for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? Check out some of these caches on the nominees list for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)
Conveniently placed, for which I am always greatly appreciative.Thankyou for the cache which icybeetas located whilst I was otherwise engaged.
Townsvilles contingent, burgo78 and myself went to locate as many caches as possible while out in Longreach for QOGM 2023. Paper logs have been signed either individually or as TSV#1s or similar Day 4 which sees us link up with GCoven from the misfits to do the 2nd muster down to Isisford where we are picking up the Forks, a Backroads multi, participating in photo comp of sorts, attempting the wherigo as well as picking up a number of traditionals and a multi along the way. Thanks artesiancacher for placing this Traditional for our geocaching enjoyment

Had an amazing time at the last QOGM event in Longreach. I feel honoured to be one of only a handful of cachers who has attended all five, although it does concern me that now I will have to plan my own September school holiday fun. This year I travelled up with Gcoven and we scooted along the bottom LGAs for her to collect and I was able to pick up the odd one here and there untilWe hit brand newies on offer in Longreach. During the course of the formal QOGM days we travelled and cached with chamad and Nathan & Alyce as part of our team signing under the collective name of Misfits. Along the way we had plenty of laughs and enjoyed hanging out with each other through the official social events and our own - generally at The Wellshot or at the Longreach Bakery. With the couple of quieter days on the agenda it allowed us time to get everything we wanted in town and even head further afield to Winton with feeling rushed at any point. It was great catching up with everyone some whom I had not seen since Barcaldine and of course the more regular cachers from home. Quite the turn out indeed. Thanks to the efforts of the QOGM team and Jimmy Project for helping to bring this all together.
After attending another fantastic QOGM Event Patrol14 and I were homeward bound and picking up a few caches that we have missed on previous visits. This was an easy one to find, log signed and cache replaced as found, now it's a Smilie. TFTC

Find # 9071In Longreach for QOGM2023! Finally made it ??So much planning and work goes into organising this fabulous event and it is definitely worthwhile coming to the central west for the incredible caching adventure. On the trails to Isisford and Ilfracombe with some of the usual suspects ?? and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the caching community. A huge thanks for all the fun and shenanigans along the way. Attending the final QOGM with BenM70 this week and looking to turn solved puzzles and anything else we pass by into smilies. With a ring-in from the Misfits we completed the second leg of the fantasy muster this afternoon. With that done we picked up any outliers and extras in town. All found in good condition. Most logs signed TSV 1. Thanks artesiancacher for organising this and bringing a large group to the region. Well done to all over the past 5 years.
So excited to be up in Longreach for our first ever QOGM. After a few days of travelling it is great to have finally arrived ready to hit the trails. Caching today with many friends from Canberra and surrounds; Cosmonaut, contesta, albida, Fitzy, firebateman, silverfox, happyfeet and GLISS! Great to tackle the next Muster (this time to Isisford and Ilfracombe). So much to balance and solve, but loads of fun. We signed as CC+5. Found on a trip with e.gregory1 traveling through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I made my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. Travelling with Team Crackers, The Drovers and Geoturtle37, we stopped at many and varied caches whilst travelling towards Cape York. Our first destination was QOGM in Longreach, Qld. We have been to this area a few times but it is always so different. Our logs are unfortunately, generic, so please accept our apologies. We spent so much time taking in the scenery and took soooo many photos, that note taking and even the recording of found caches got a little lackadaisical.GT37 and I would like to thank all the CO's involved in making this a most memorable trip. We appreciate the effort and expense that you have gone to as well as the time it has taken to establish and now maintain this cache for all to enjoy. This was a nice quick find which is just as well with so many of us searching. Thank you.
Found with FeatherWaite while attending the QOGM event at Longreach. We headed up to Longreach from Adelaide via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Blackall and Barcaldine, camping and picking up caches along the way.The weather was a little warmer than we had anticipated, but it made for some pleasant evenings. Most of the caches were found without any issues and were in reasonable condition unless otherwise indicated. Thanks artesiancacher for the cache.

Today I worked my way to Longreach for the start of my QOGM events and activities. The journey today starts from Augathella and a meet up with Nathan and Alyce. I have a few quick stops on the way up at Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine, with a particular challenge cache that was bugging me in Blackall. There is an earth cache and a couple of trads in Tambo. Last stop before the turn to Longreach there is a few new caches in Barcaldine. It was a nice drive up and the weather was great, gees even bumped into a few other cachers along the way.The excitement is building now as I start the road in and collecting the roadside caches into Longreach. Heading into the western falling sun is a little troublesome so I am not worried on time.I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and continued on, thanks for the placement.
After doing the Muster by the Stars series, we finished off the day with a few caches on the main road and this was one of them. TFTC artesiancacher

QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 16. Barcaldine Day 3. Barcaldine and then a late drive to Longreach. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. Most of the Barcaldine caches were done by me last year, but there were plenty in the region for Fitzy to visit before we headed to the lunch time event at the new water ski lake. We were very happy to meet up with caching companions even though not all the journeys had gone smoothly. After a long slow lunch it was time to get hooked up to the van and head west to Longreach. We did a few of the caches done along the way but did not even make it to Longreach before stopping at the afternoon tea event at Camden station. We were late, so only stayed for the formalities before heading the last leg into town to get a site and set up for the evening. The afternoons are hot in he sun but the place we had by the pool was great.Having a few roadside caches to do on the way west made for an enjoyable afternoon, even if we did have to watch the clock. Thanks for the cache artesiancacher44278.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 June Illumination A#382**Albida**
