Made it here. So much wet but enjoyed the movies.

Despite home being just around the corner, we were one of the last to arrive, or so it seemed, even with the best of intentions of arriving much earlier and having a playground play in the adjacent park.I was able to attend the Logan/Beenleigh GIFF event the previous day, and it was a great collection of videos. So a repeat session for me, and it allowed me to escape early when baby Cottontail was getting sleepy. I wished I could have stayed until the end and socialised with the group, but that will need to wait until next time. Thanks cosmonaut97 for the GIFF event organisation and hosting. Great setup and baby Cottontail certainly enjoyed the popcorn! ??

Yay! I remembered to pop along, thanks to the timely FB reminder post where I totally thought to myself 'I thought it was next week'. End of the year it always so, so busy. I enjoyed this years GIFF Reel, a good variety of entertaining and serious tones. I have two stand out favorites. Thank you for hosting, this is a great location.

Thanks cosmonaut97 for hosting this event. We had an enjoyable time catching up with fellow cachers and watching the finalists in this years GIFF. We might be biased but we did like the Australian one.

Was Good to see so many cachers attend, also a lovely venue,. There was a great variety of short videos, and one which I personally knew many of the persons involved in making the not so short video, which created many chuckles and a few laughs, Thanks cosmonaut97, for hosting this event

Thanks for a great event, it was nice to catch up with a few people that I have missed in a while. Got to meet some new cachers as well. This was my second time to watch the movies and I think it was better the second time around. There is one stand out and a couple of funny ones, a serious look at life and a well done to others. I guess there is humour in all places you look. Thanks for organising the event it was a good location maybe we could use this place again.

Unfortunately the storm tonight caused a lot of bad traffic on my side of town and I was quite late getting over to the north side. Still I got to watch 9 of the films and they were all excellent. Thanks for hosting the event Cosmonaut97!

I had a great time watching the Giff movies. I think I have been to 3 or 4 giff productions. Nice to meet cachers that I have seen their log. Thanks for a great night cosmonaut97.

10/11/2023 Find #6712I teamed it up with the girls to head to this event after work tonight, managing to convince them with post-event cocktails. With the weather rolling in, I guess I was eager as I managed to arrive just before the CO tonight, securing a parking spot and heading in with time for a brief catch up before the masses began to arrive. And it was quite the turn out! Despite my lot arriving late ??It was good to see a number of familiar faces, some whom I havent seen for a while. And then there were the films. As always a great and varied mix of entries this year, which provided for an entertaining evening. Not to mention the popcorn and ice locks provided by the CO.A good event, suitable location, and a great time had. ?Thanks for the event cosmonaut97.Now off for a feed, a drink and some more laughs.

This year I haven't been to many events at all. And I know it's been years since I was at a GIFF event. Seeing this on a blank night in my calendar, I decided I'd go along. And then it all transpired that I could carpool in with SaintsMadHouse, KBreeAhh and ponchomon11 - that works for me! The only issue was the hammering rain on the drive from the southside. As a result we arrived fashionably late and about 3 films into the playing.Not that it bothered me too much, I'd seen the flicks and had my opinions before. I was quite impressed with the vast array of videos, in ideas, quality and emotional range. Some were dark and reflective, some built to an excellent punchline and some were entirely relateable. And I think this room was a perfect option for the cinema experience!Yet again I am inspired to grab some of the ideas on my rarely visited "Could be a GIFF" ideas list and bring them into fruition. As always, maybe next year. Plus, nice after the credits rolled to hang out with some friendly faces and note that the storm had by now passed. Good one, thanks for this GIFF event, cosmonaut97

This was my 7th year of attending a GIFF, and they just keep getting better each year.There were several films I really enjoyed, but of course, I had a good laugh watching the Aussie entry with all the familiar faces staring in it.Thanks so much to cosmonaut97 for organising this great night and for the tasty popcorn ??

Thanks very much for hosting this years GIFF event, and providing snacks to boot! I thought the quality of this years offerings was the best yet, and enjoyed both the movies and the social chitchat before and after. This weekend, I will be downloading the film reel and speaking with the library about the event. There is ample parking at the library, including on-street.
