Today Im taking advantage of the great weather and revisiting Mannum for the first time in a while. There are three newish caches that I have yet to log!An excuse for a ride across the river and back. Plus you never know when the next flood will wipe the board clean again. This one was a quick find once I was at the correct host. Seems to be a lot of loot in this cache container, but the log book was on top, and I didnt delve any deeper. Thanks for the cache TheMadBannos.
Found by The Empire + HAfter a satisfying lunch at the bakery in Mannum, we head back to the ferry for our return trip across the Murray. The river has its own quiet rhythm, and as we drive onto the ferry again, there's that familiar sense of calm. The ferry glides across the water, and the view of Mannum slowly fades behind us. This time, the sun peeks out from behind the clouds, casting a soft glow on the river, making the water shimmer.Once were back on the other side, we continue our journey, heading toward the trails we had planned to explore for the afternoon. A couple of quick finds before we were back to the series we left before lunch. Thanks for the cache TheMadBannos.-M
Over complicated it a bit, but took a step back and then had the cache in hand. TFTC
Today out and about on 201 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
It was way past time for another road trip by Owl and JJ52. Owl's needed maintenance run to Mannum took them on a very round-about route where there was the usual banter, laughter, coffee stops and cache finds. After a couple of stray caches in town the duo settled down for some serious caching, taking it in turns to find caches like this one. A nice walk gained them the prize.
I hadn't had a caching day out for a long time so it was great to get out with Doctor Owl for a nice drive down to Tailem Bend and then Mannum. It was a perfect caching day, not too hot, not too cold and no wind or rain, although we are desperate for rain as was pretty obvious in the places we visited. Our first stop was for morning tea at Tailem Bend before starting our caching. All in all a good day with lots of caches found as well as a few AL stages.A quick find after a short walk. Thanks for the cache TheMadBannos.
Staying at Mannum. Out for a drive following the river. Heading back to Mannum. Quick find. #2,994 Tftc
After a big search, nothing was to be found. The area looks like it has been well trampled at GZ.
A fantastic first cache, I love the riddle/rhyme. Great work. About to leave after logging a. DNF. As I walked back on to the road I had a thought to look at previous images a thought which paid off as there was a photo suggesting the place to look! Straight away I spotted the geocache, hence now I am changing my DNF to a find! Thanks. The log is signed TP to save space.
Quick find of the replacement cache with Bindi the geo pooch. Thanks for the hide!
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave me a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we headed off for a paddle on the Murray. The day promised to be a hot one so we began just after sunrise. The river was quiet and the breeze low as we paddled passed moored houseboats, riverside homes and magnificent cliffs. The caches proved to be a little challenging as we had to clamber onto the bank each time but all were found safe. On the way back to our base camp at Bowhill, we took a little detour to find a few more caches as well. Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
TFTC TheMadBannos your cache Marley's Riverside Riddle that we found today. After our adventures on the river yesterday, we opted for a quieter day to explore Mannum. This was one of the caches we found as we made our way back to camp at Bowhill.Find Count: 18654 .

Adelaide Great Leap.Day # 2Heading West with +Wife and EveTheStaffy. On our way to The Great Leap Forward MEGA Event in Adelaide tomorrow. We caught the ferry over for this one. Thanks for the cache.
After noticing the needs maintenance and watching this one for a while, we contacted the CO.The cache has now been replaced with a new container after we found the area had been disturbed and there was no cache to be found.Mannum is a wonderful town on the Murray River, thanks for a cache on this side of the river. A trip across the ferry and up to Bowhill for lunch, via the scenic route was a bonus for the day.TFTC
Ditto the previous DNF.Kicking myself that I didn't check the previous logs and spent a 2.7km walk and around 20 minutes searching for no result.searched +/- 30m either side but no result.
Had a good look around all the trees plus and minus 30m from GZ. No luck here today. Will be back.TFTC
No luck after a very long search. All I found was ample evidence the nearby campers use this area as a toilet (I could see it... I could really smell it .... fortunately I didnt step in it!)
Thanks for the responses! There definitely is a toileting area but this cache is further down the road from that spot, so I'll check it out and remeasure from the sign to ensure it's still in the same spot!
A quickish find, although found it nearly 10m from listed...Now to get back on the ferry! That's tge podium filled too...TNLNSL Thanks
