Favourite for the favourite cache. Nice work.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is saturn's day the twenty first day of the septimus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. Not so windy today. A few showersWith the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Came for a walk, nice day for it!Going by tge description I was expecting something much smaller, it hardly fits in its hidey! Probably a 1*D how I found it!TNLNSL Thanks
A lovely area to walk, particularly after a passing shower. Wish this was full of chokkies!
Out with weredunn4 heading North of Adelaide today to target some new caches around Port Wakefield and then heading over toward Clare to seek some caches we havent previously found.Quickly found this one and log stamped TFTC
Found with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip. It's a sunny but cold morning, but today is the day we make our assault on The Spring Gully Conservation Park. We enjoyed our hike, picking up some great caches along the way. Thanks to all the COs who have placed caches along the trails.
Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying a couple of days in Clare to grab some finds. Gee it gets cold here - we dont get this chill at home. But a good morning for doing the caches along this trail. Thanks for the hide.
A beautiful Autumn morning caching on some of the tracks in Spring Gully Conservation Park. Many thanks for the hide PJ_DJ
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. A nice walk through the bush. All good here. Thank you PJ_DJ, for placing Wymans Favorites for the geocaching community.# # #14959 # #
Needed some fresh air and a walk in spring gully was the ticket, strolled down to GZ, quick find the only favourite we spotted was the log book to signTFTC PJ_DJ
I've yet to visit Spring Gully Conservation Park, and although there are a stack of geocaches that I've yet to find, we only managed to visit a few that included newly published geocaches that [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) had yet to find. We walked along Wyman's Trail, and the cache was a quick find upon approach. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks PJ_DJ for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------A trip visiting Adelaide from Brisbane for the [The Great Leap Forward](http://coord.info/GCA1DNA) Mega event!I arrived Wednesday 28/02/2024 evening ready for Leap Day on Thursday, and stayed with family across the weekend, before returning on Monday 4/03/2024 morning. Previous Adelaide trips are spent with family and friends, but targeted geocaching was this trip's objective, and I attempted to target unique cache types (virtuals, EarthCaches, Wherigos and letterbox hybrids), attractive D-T combinations, high Favourite Point caches, and the occasional pre-2003 oldie, acknowledging that I had found many cherished oldies whilst residing in Adelaide. In addition to Mega central in Beverley/Hindmarsh, my trip included visits as north as Clare, to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach to the south, and the Adelaide Hills (Hahndorf, Uraidla) to the west. In true South Australian style, I ticked off the three closest wine areas to Adelaide (Barossa, Clare Valley, and McLaren Vale). Additional highlights included Barossa vineyard meanderings, boating to Adventure Island in Outer Harbor, drain exploration via [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY), beach walks of Port Willunga and Sellicks Beach, enjoying a beer at Willunga, and experiencing the Fringe Festival in Adelaide's east end.Today on 29/02/2024 Leap Day, it was an extremely early start joining [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to drive north to attend Clare's morning event. As the sun rose, we meandered back to Adelaide via Auburn, Saddleworth, Peters Hill, Tarlee, and Gawler, and I then proceeded solo visiting targeted geocaches in Adelaide's north around Mawson Lakes. A couple of targeted geocaches in North Adelaide's park lands with [gridge98](https://coord.info/PRGKDMY), and I then headed east to Stepney and Toorak Gardens, before visiting Mega HQ. The day's remainder was spent catching up with old geocaching friends, geocaching, gadget caching, and closing-out the day with [The Side Event](http://coord.info/GCAH07T) dinner.Adventure Labs visited included: [Adelaide Icon Tour with Neobatrachus Pictus](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/e4e6daf2-4904-4f32-9a49-3308a1d7a075); [Hidden History of Charles Sturt Council](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/f1f49ce0-0345-4bb0-9cf6-f1ff813d80d9); [Sporting Adelaide](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/746734fb-eab7-4058-8072-922a43bdc332); [The Great Leap Forward Gadget Caches](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/a2d616d0-5583-4663-a70c-605c6a88c956); and [Visiting South Australia's Special Places](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/44b6d461-0b3b-43b5-adf1-1c29f61766b7).
A lovely walk down and into this area, I have walked all around here but a new trail for me. Once at GZ the cache was found and is all goodToday with the mega in Adelaide going ahead, I headed out in the morning with Davidwazza for a catch up and a caching morning up and around Clare, before heading back into the city to attend the leap forward event. A few caches found along the way and around the mega event. Thanks for the cache
A find on a cool night as easy its still day light cause day light saving. Spring Gully National Park has ties to our Family. Way back in the 1960s is when it all began when the Government set aside 15 acres of land purchased from a Mr G.C.Q. Nottage in 1960 . Then in 1964, 701acres from Mr S.L Wayman of Sevenhill. Also another 84acres was purchased in 1968 from Mrs S.H.Freebairn of Snowtown. In April 1968 Former Minister of Lands Mr P.H.Quirke commented stating the Proclamation of the Area as a National Park. (Vicky! Yes me! was barely a Month old when the park was announced as a National Park.) So it was then officially Proclaimed By Sir Edric Bastyan that the Park was under control of National Parks commission headquarters at Belair in the Adelaide Hills. The main purpose of this park was due to The Red Stringy Bark ( Eucalyptus Maccurorhycha) as this was the only kind in the State of SA. Native fauna and flora in the area of wild flowers ,Grey Kangaroos. Euros and other Native animals in the area.Original there were gates to the park which there was tracks which were able to be driven on so people could drive as near to the water fall in the park and walk a short distance. Its a Recreation Park with Picnic areas so you are able to enjoy being out in nature. But over the years the gates have closed in areas so you are now required to walk the Tracks and enjoy nature at its best.Over the years the tracks have been named after some of the previous land owners out of respect, a connection to our family. One track named after My Grandfather Mr Stanislaus. Leo. Wayman. ( there was two spellings of our name Wayman and Wyman so at time the A was missing at times. He was also from POLISH descendants ) The Wyman walking Trail, as this is passed down through family history.
A pleasant walk down to this one. I was struggling a bit after my long bike ride this morning.TFTC
The Better Half and I are on our way for our trip to the New South Wales and Canberra. This is day three of the trip. After doing the last cache way to the north we noticed that this cache was still showing as unfound so diverted off our original route and came down to do this cache.Cache was found without problems once we walked down the track. Blank log was signed and the cache returned as it was found. Thanks Pj_Dj for placing this cache for other cachers to find..Joint *FTF* with the Better Half. We were going to do the other cache further down but decided that it was a bit too far to walk as neither of us our very fit at the moment and we still had to return to the car up the hill.
