Checked out this one while not to wet outside before the opening of the Mega. Cheers.Day 6 - MEGA Day - Saturday and its cold wet and miserable. What a pity! Attended opening and enjoyed gadget puzzles. Then home to get warm. Out and about trackng down LABS, before attending the CITO. and an early evening home.Zara, Toby and I are on an adventure, heading to the Dunedin Mega with some extra days along the way. Caught up with TaybeeNZ on 22 Oct for a day caching around Christchurch. Then made my way down to Waimati for the night. Arrived in Dunedin Thursday afternoon. Beautiful day Friday to cache around Port Chalmers. Mega Day was cold, wet and miserable and Sunday not much better. Sophia arrived on Sunday for a few days. Teamed up with TaybeeNZ for next three days touring the Catlains Monday, Stewart Island Tuesday and Milford Wednesday, then started making my way home, arriving Friday Morning.
I didn't venture out into the rain during the Mega to get this, so back we went today when the weather was more conducive to hunting. Found with Debsnz.
Out for walk after watching the rugby, weather a bit damp but caching is brightening it up.Quite quiet around here at the moment.TFTC
Last find for the day, loved the letterbox (literally..) and the stamp! I still had my wee notebook in my pocket so even though I don't do letterboxing.. I now have a nice coloured albatross to look at. I then signed the letterbox logbook before realising it was the wrong book, so re-signed the correct book.
The MEGA base was just over there, and over the last two days I watched cachers go under the trees to find the cache. Well I waited for fine weather and today is that day.Loved the container, signed the log, wish I had my stamp with me, but had left it in the car.Anothr fun find, thanks for the letterbox hide TeamOtago
In Dunedin for the mega, an early morning walk with 2wombles before the next event. Thanks TeamOtago for this letterbox cache.
Had a few hours spare today so caching was on my do to list. Took the hint a bit too literally and made it a lot harder than it needed to be. Thanks for the cache
Great container. I wondered why there were two log books but U.N.C.L.E. explained. TFTC.
Followed the steady stream of people heading in to the trees, quickly found and signed and passed to the next person
First find of the day with Mrs abxt350.. glad the wind and rain has abaited a tad from yesterday.. cheers for the cache and placement ??
Yesterday I followed a crowd into the bushes to see where the cache was and decided to leave it until today as I have my own personal challenge that has a shortage of finds today. This afternoon the rain had eased making it drier than yesterday to find my way in. Great letterbox. Thanks.
Picked up this letterbox cache while attending the Mega event. Thanks for setting this one up.
After attending the Mega event, JustlookingOO, ThatDarnBear and I made a quick trip around the grounds to find this cache. We teamed up with another person who was the first to spy this letterbox cache. Thanks to TeamOtago for the mega event and putting out these new caches.
Haha the dog walker who's dog found us hiding in the bushes thought it was hilarious, luckily he was familiar with geocaching and had spotted a few out on his walk - TFTC,
Second letterbox of my day, but what a letterbox. I would give a Fav points if I had some, but looks like it is only for premium members. I need to ask the parents to sort this out. I also need to get myself a cool stamp. Beautiful stamp, I liked the colors. TFTC ??
Some geocachers were walking in the dunes and needed to mail an important letter home. I dived in and found a letter box! Tftc
#4111 Today is day 27 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. I'm in Dunedin for [Geo Toroa (Dunedin, NZ)](https://coord.info/GCA7ZHD) mega event this weekend. Today is the Mega day!Found it! Love the hand-carved stamp! FP given TeamOtago, thank you for the cache! -crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 27, 2024 @ 15:34:00[GCAFV0G] Geo Toroa 1 (Dunedin) was a D1.5/T1.5 Small Letterbox Hybrid at the time of finding.
I really enjoyed finding this one ... it's a proper letterbox cache so that gets you one of my favourite points and that stamp is truly unique which I've added to my stamp book. In return I've stamped your logbook as well. Well done TeamOtago, It should be a secure hide for years to come.
We went and grabbed this Geo Toroa letter box then hit the caching trails . Thanks TeamOtago
#22917 @1655In NZ to attend Geo Toroa. Today was focused on the DT puzzle series plus other cache types and sizes needed for various challenges. Cache easily found. TFTC.
One last find after the prize giving before going in search of food and relax after what has been a fun weekend. Didn't take long to spot. Thanks TeamOtago#17418
A joint [FTF] @ 00:23 with team MINTYS.This weekend I am visiting Dunedin (from Wellington) to attend the 2024 Geo Toroa Mega event. Obviously, while I'm down here, I will also be out and about looking for other geocaches in the region. Here is one I found. Sadly one of the team had a wee accident at the previous cache, so we were at the hospital when this cache was published. So then we left the hospital to come look for it.No sign of anyone else when we arrived here, and after searching in ever increasing circles the cache was found safe and well. A really cool letterbox stamp.---Thanks to the Cache Owner for placing and maintaining this geocache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. All logs signed with the name MINTYS to represent the team of Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, TwigNZ, YetiNZ, and the Seagnoid.[DGSc-Fast] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
[FTF] at 12.23am. NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega. I'm also hoping to get a multi every day, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip". Today is Day 8 - We are in Dunedin and now caching as Team MINTYS for Mr-Mcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, TwigNZ, YetiNZ and the Seagnoid. The race was on to this FTF and we managed to find a way to the location and then the very nicely constructed cache. TFTC.It's nice to have a trip where alongside targeted caches we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
We arrived off the plane about 9pm. Picked up a couple of cars and the rest of the team then headed out for some night caching. We were just wrapping up, heading home (by way of the hospital to resolve a small accident to one of the team, when the phones went bing and we all shot out the door. A bit of a search and then a rather cool stamp was found.Log signed as [FTF] Mintys for MrMcgoo, Itchyfeet2020, NZ_B, TwigNZ, YetiNZ and the Seagnoid.
Attend a very damp event nearby and the gathering of geocachers brought to mind additional caches. TFTC.
Here to attend an event. First name / stamp in the log. Thank you for placing this cache.

#796 8:19AMGathered around with the others waiting in the rain for the opening ceremony. When I was told there was a letterbox here. Thanks for placing this cache TeamOtago
While waiting for the Opening Event to start we ducked into the bushes and found a short line of geocachers waiting to sign this log. ?? Our first Letterbox in NZ. Thank you. ??
This is day three of my Dunedin Mega trip (and the actual date of the mega), the first time I've ever been here before (never mind geocaching). Obviously with such a plethora of caches to find there's going to be plenty I'll skip but I hope to find my targets.Unfortunately logging is going to be generic, but thank you to all the cache owners and event organisers for the things you do.Wandered over from the event for a quick find. All good here, and thank you to TeamOtago for the placement of your Letterbox Hybrid.Find #7251 at 26 October 2024 8:25am

Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan & Bluewattle on my first ever trip across the ditch. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. ?? TFTC TeamOtago
I saw people popping into the bushes on the way to the event, so I popped in also. TFTC!!
We joined the crowds going to this cache during this morning's event. Very cool that the cache was an actual letterbox!! Thanks for the cache!
While we time before the CITO event we went along here in the RAIN . of course ! I came down to dunedin for the mega and i was lucky enough to have a fellow geocacher who had a sister in Dunedin which meant we had a place to stay which was marvellous and over the 6-7 days i visited so many caches that some have become a blur while others i remember well . We were lucky we had only a handful of DNF although i had not taken in to account the terrain of Dunedin and its many hills , gullies , streams and walk ways around these so that meant many of the caches i had planned to visit were not visited while others were. Unfortunately not all the albatross series - although solved - were some of the unvisited caches so they are there for another visit . when ever that maybe ! It was certainly helpful to have a local in our vehicle who knew where to go ! Thank you for this cache .
Down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated. ??????

A lovely Mega to attend to and thanks for all the new released caches, was fun to find them, though mostly I just cued up to sign the logbook ??TftLetterboxCache
At a great Mega and went for a walk with Dimepodore to find this cache. Fantastic cache container. Thanks Team Otago.
We found Geo Toroa 1 (Dunedin) on a nice quiet weekend visiting Dunedin for Geo Toroa, meandering through the suburbs, seeking the occasional cache. Thanks TeamOtago for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves
Found with very little difficulty, we just followed the crowd through the bushes. Thanks for the letterbox team Otago and for staging the event.
I wondered why there was a trail of people wandering across the rugby field and disappearing into the bushes. I soon found out there was a newly published letterbox cache. So Talla64 and I joined them in the bushes and signed the log. Great cache, and it was an actual letterbox! Thanks very much for the cache and the fun TeamOtago.
Found it alongside safetykat, largely just to get one close by before heading out for a couple more distant caches. The famous Dunedin sideways rain had well and truly settled in so if we were going to get this one, we had to get wet - a sacrifice a lot of geocachers are well and truly willing to make. Safetykat laid eyes on it and pulled it out for a (very quick!) sign and seal. Cheers!
At first we thought we had to approach this from the beach, but we couldn't even get down there. Then we had a look in the bushes and spotted the fun container. TFTC!
The rain was horizontal both here and back. Sought shelter in the bushes and located a cache at the same time. Tftc!
It was raining ?? ?? ?? cats and dogs ?? ?? ?? when I looked for this one. It's always nice to find a letter ?? box. Thanks so much ?? for maintaining and creating this hide TeamOtago.

This was our first cache find in Dunedin. Thanks for the Letterbox! Herr Potter and I were walking from a cafe to the Mega location and noticed someone ducking into the bushes. It was pretty obvious that it was a geocacher! ?? So we refreshed our app and found the new cache!
There was a huge gathering of people this morning and the word got around there was a letterbox nearby. It was soon found and we lined up to sign it. TFTC TeamOtago.
Thanks for this letterbox cache that I found first thing this morning. I was wandering down to what I thought was going to be an event, when I noticed people ducking into the bushes. The cache was soon retrieved and the log signed. Just what I needed for my personal calendar challenge today so many thanks. TeamOtago
