Today, I had my car serviced. Since I need to wait for 2-3 hours, I decided to jog alone the River Torrens. From Port Road to the beach, it took me almost an hour, including finding this cache.Tried this cache as it's on the way.Checked the first obvious spot, but nothing.Checked the second possible area, but still no cache. So I revealed the hint, and read the previous log. Then cache has been found easily. There's no container, and the log sheet is full. Thanks for the cache, smersh.PS: I took some photos near GZ. See attachment.
I havent been down this way since they have redone the walkway. Looks great. Signed on the additional piece of paper added by recent finders.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. On this side of town after dropping B at the airport and finding a few caches on the way back home. Saw this was close by and made the detour. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ. GPS wanted me in one spot but there was nothing that matched the hint and previous logs, so extended the search area to a more logical spot. Took a bit of looking and soon discovered the hide. Luckily G is tall and easily reached the cache, extracted the log, signed it and then replaced as found.Gratias pro cache smersh
Great place for a cache! You definitely will need to have a tall person with you!
The work that has been done here to construct the creek is great to see. As well as solving a waterflow problem, a scenic area that is a pleasure to visit has been created. It took us a few minutes to locate the cache. It was only when one of us looked from the right direction at the right angle that the cache was located - a good hide. Retrieving the log book had to be delegated to the taller member of the team. Even then, it was a bit of a stretch. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks smersh for the cache.
One of three caches found along the final stretch of the Torrens after an event at Henley Beach. Light was limited, but on the plus side there were very few people around to interrupt play. I find the story of the rerouting of water here quite interesting. Thanks for bringing me here with this cache smersh.
Today I took a stroll around Henley together with Platzwart and j-fed. We found 4 caches, this was the third one. Thanks for showing this nice path along the water!Greetings,Jan
Big thanks to smersh for creating this cache! Your effort brought an extra spark of excitement to our geocaching quest. This discovery was find number 1,165 for us, marking another memorable moment in our adventure. Living and traveling full-time across Australia in our Coaster Bus, we're always on the lookout for caches to uncover. To see more of our travels, feel free to follow our journey HERE...
First find of day. Thanks for good hint as coordinates are way off.Adelaide day nr 7. Cycling around the beaches...I'm logging this hide as my 10621 find. Many thanks smersh for a placement.
Time for the normal Saturday morning bike ride but I didn't have a route in mind, so it turned into a get the next cache sort of journey. The ride was interrupted to search nine times of which eight were found, retrieved and signed. One was spotted...about 5 metres up a tree and given I was on my bike I did not have the equipment to effect the retrieve. TFTC to all COs.
It would be a nice spot to sit and watch the world go by, but I'm on my way to the airport! Tftc
Thanks smersh for the cache. The hint was useful. The new development of the area looks nice. It would have been nice to linger, or walk along to explore more. Another day.
Owl has been too busy to cache and that had to change! So she met up with JJ52 for a day of caching, fun and frivolity, with the added bonus of a robot cafe! A lot has changed in this area since Owl was last here and lots of muggles enjoying the nice weather. Owl was too short to retrieve the cache quickly and a nice muggle asked if they needed help, which they didn't, but was remarkably incurious about what they were doing.
A caching day out had been organised with Doctor Owl as we headed to the western suburbs where we both had caches that hadn't been found. We had a fun day, found a few previous DNF's without adding any more which is always good, as well as some cool caches. Found ourselves near the airport and had lunch at a convenient cafe before continuing and then a nice milkshake to end the day before we both headed our separate ways. What a lovely place to visit, it is many years since I have been along here and it certainly has improved. Lots of muggles around. Thanks for the cache smersh.

Found It!A nice little walk and a quick find. It must've been a very different place here before they dug this creek and built all the houses.TFTC
In Adelaide, for the GCA1DNA The Great Leap Forward (Mega-Event Cache). Thanks smersh for placing the cache here.
On a Leap Forward hunting expedition. Found this one 6m S of my GZ. Another great day for caching. ?? TFTC smersh
Well, that was! Have fun hide! We are having a lovely day in the Adelaide area. Thanks for the smile.
Adelaide Day 4Now camped at the West Beach Park to attend the Leap Day Event.Once again I was caching with Wallaston.Today the was the day for the great Leap foreward Event. We did 2 events, multi ALs plus a variety of other types of caches. It was a great day for caching. Thanks smersh for hiding this cache.
jtee had the eagle eye today.Adventuring today with jtee, Janjorjack and micaparamedic on Leap Day. Adelaide has so much to offer. Great Leap Forward MEGA has so much to offer. Thanks for placing the cache smersh.
I was worried I was going to have to walk on some foliage or something, but its okay, its just that this is a new cache inspired by a new development and the satellite image doesnt reflect the new path! I like that its not in the spot you assume its going to be. I searched for the expected, then came up empty-handed, then pondered my surroundings while waiting for muggles to pass. While I was doing so whats that I spy? Looks a bit black and shiny to be a (coast is now clear) aha! Signed back at the bench and made a ducky friend while waiting for the coast to clear to make the replacement. That was a little trickier but got it back there. TFTC! What a beautiful place that I doubt I would have been if it werent for geocaching. The air smells lovely here!
Found with FUF009 and AnyMules while in the area. Actually, I just flew in! Tftc
Find # 13499I'm heading to Adelaide for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Day 1.5 after setting up camp in Woodcroft we headed city way. Grabbing the odd cache. AnyMules driving us around the odd caches. Once again local knowledge was the key. Another relatively quick grab made.TFTC smersh
A quick find here today. Glad I wasnt short. I found your D1.5/T2.0 Micro Traditional called Breakout Creek. on 24 February 2024. It was find #18669 for me. Thank you smersh for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of South Australia.
This was a very noisy area. Those little Corellas certainly make a mess and big noise. Luckily they have not eaten the cache! Yet! Thanks smersh and clear skies from TeamAstro. This morning I headed out to find a few new caches around the west after my morning CITO. A nice spot next to the creek here, cache easily found and is all goodThanks for the cache
A short but fun day of to the city with Mr froghoppin and Jack and Sebastbat tagging along too. Love coming to the city - reminds me how much nicer country life is Creek fine. Cache here. Nothing broken! Thanks smersh for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Heading down to Adelaide for our regular caching day, caught up with Mattycat and Sebastbat in the Barossa enroute, been a while since we have cached around here and enjoyed revisiting the area, cache was found after a short search and a chance to stretch the legsTFTC smersh
Was down this way to find a few caches, including some that had been solved a while ago Cache found and log signed. Helped some keen junior cachers find this one.
We found this one during a nice walk along the riverbank and around the nearby wetlands. They have done such a good job redeveloping this area recently. The terrain rating for this cache made me think it could be in the rocks but I soon changed tac and found it nearby. It wasnt hard to find but I needed my partner to retrieve it for me. We sat on the seat while I filled out the log and the geodog really enjoyed the rest. The log is in good condition, TFTC.
Attending the early morning 'I'm lost and a long way from home event' was the perfect excuse for a caching foray on the Lefevre Peninsula and back home via the western suburbs. Thanks for the cache smersh!
Something special or unusual goes here:After a brief bit of torture looking in the wrong place the previous finder with us pointed us in the right direction where we made the find. Note to self - don't forget to check the hint. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday trek around for myself, S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg [^] We headed down the Port area again to grab some solved puzzles and any other caches we came across. Another fun day with only one DNF And that was on a previous DNF. Woot woot, time another Tuesday trekking. It was a lovely sunny day, a trio of geocaches set out to find caches. The trio consisted of A rat, ttrogg and a Starfish. We headed for the western suburbs and the port.We started our search in the wrong place.Lucky for us we had a previous finder with us, who pointed us to the correct place. They have done a lot of work around here since the last time I wondered past. The cache was a quick find once I looked in the right direction. Was over this side of town to arrange some more body work and after that was done it was time for some caching. This one was the second of six newish traditionals found on the long and winding road home.GZ had me somewhere that the hint didn't seem to agree with so went by the hint and managed to get my stamp in the log. Thanks to smersh for placing this cache on our playing field.Cache #14205 for me.This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Stopped by after work for a quick find after a short walk. It's great this area is accessible again...TNLNSL Thanks
I was back in town and came to find this new cache to celebrate.I drove over Davis Bridge so many times and saw all the orange construction flags along here for so so long. So, in all honesty, I stopped looking to see if the works were still going and just assumed it was. When this cache was published I was confused on how I was supposed to get to it with works happening. It just never occurred to me that they could be done, cos I became so accustomed to the works here.Once at GZ, it took a minute of searching but once at the correct angle, it was a quick find. A nice cache to bring me back now that the works are done. Thanks smersh for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3829 on the 14th of November 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
This is my backyard and I am so glad the upgrade of the river banks has been finished and we can come here again. And great to the find a new cache Someone pinched the pen out of my caching bag (puppy) so I had to just take a photo. I'll send to CO. Thanks for the hunt.
A quick find on a sunny afternoon. A few muggles going by but they don't care.TFTC
Out with Normanville. Took the two of us to reach & after signing team work to replace. Tftc
Driving home after picking up two puzzle caches I saw the notification of a newly published cache, only a kilometre or so from where I needed to go next. I fully expected to be too late for first finding honours but when I arrived at 17.26h there still was no claim made.I know this area quite well and since the re-design we have taken the dog here a few times for a very pleasant walk. Thanks to the hint a quick find was made and returning the cache actually took longer than finding as this time I was looking for just a lid instead of a full cache!Anyway, alls good and my first *FTF* for quite some timetftc smersh
