Logs
25 September 2024 3:03pmIn the area for an event today and went with kid1, DeafCat and TinyDinosaw to find this one.Nice hide and cool spot
I took the hard route to GZ and searched around for a while before I returned to the first place I had searched previously and spotted something in the depths and, foolishly, put my hand into the dark and pulled out the cache and nothing else, thank goodness. No turkeys were hurt during this hunt. None were seen either. I took the easy route back out and passed the Do Not Enter sign from the reverse side.TFTC pominaus
No entry signs still up (so no muggles) but I pretended that I came from a different direction. Cute cache! And a few turkeys. TFTC
After doing a walk with Brissy Cat, she was needing to do a quick shop so suggested that I find the caches in the park before meeting up again. No problem with accessing the area today - no Muggles but a few turkeys. Coordinates were a couple of metres out but I quickly found the clever cache in the obvious place. Tftc
The park closed sign is still up buuut. It was night time, no one was around so I snuck past and it was a quick find before I scampered off, back into the night tftc hopefully they take that sign down soon.
Found thus one with mnance101 on 30 Dec 23 , I nearly forgot to log this one tftc
After a nearby event Bennyboppers and myself decided to find this cache. Initially we had Gunnie with us but when that path was blocked off due to a landslide after the recent storm, he went home. Bennyboppers and I went around a different way and found it. TFTC!
Trails are closed, weather is looking dodgy again today. Sneak out early and go caching. Parked near the event location for today and had a quick pedal round. No signs of any turkeys. GZ is just outside the closed off area, and is in good condition.
After having our boating adventure undone by mother nature Davinells are collecting random caches around homeDavinells spotted the rocks firstThanks pominaus Find #10578
Our day on the water was disrupted by the storms so Peppa and I have swapped the boat for the car. We saw some fences but none of them were blocking our access to GZ and we had no trouble finding the cache.Tftc pominausFind #5076
Missed the turn into the nearby car park, so had to go round the big loop again! The only turkey here today was an old codger with a Garmin 30 gps I think. No sign of a mound unlike a big one at 17 mile rocks park, and a memorable one I remember (I MUST remember it if it is memorable) in the bush at KaKa Mundi national park many years ago. Found the cache OK and added G.M. to the log. TFTC, pominaus.
I found myself over this side of the world today for a lunch date with an old friend. I was running later than I hoped, as I was hoping to get in a few more caches in this area beforehand. Turns out this was the only one for me today over here. This was a nice easy find and all good with the hide. Thanks for placing it here, no sign of any turkeys here today just a big one, lol.
No sign of any turkeys here today. Or people either. Thanks for the cache pominaus
Its the last day of school today and therefore my last chance to geocache by myself for a few weeks. But its too hot to hike so I took a drive out to Springfield where there are a few new caches and a few old old DNFs. I never found the previous Turkey cache that was muggled from this park recently, so it was good to have a new version to find today. I think this one will be safe for a while, it is a very clever hide. Thanks pominaus for the cache!
What? A new cache in Springfield and I yet again missed the FTF? Oh well, this is what happens when you turn off notifications.Maybe this one should be called Turkey or Phoenix? This time I approached from the top and saw lots of Turkey-like litter before spotting the SPOR or should I just say R.I must get into 3D printing of containers as it would save a bit of time and trouble. This one looks excellent. All good here so TFTC! I enjoyed my stroll.
Im also on a mission to Plug the Gaps in my Finds by Found Date calendar and this find helps there as well. Quick easy find and interesting looking cache container.Cache and log in excellent condition.TFTC. SL. TB Prado Owl visited.Find # 1750.
*FTF* First to Find at 07:27 hr.This caches release turned out to be good timing as baby Cottontail and I had made plans to do a few walks in Springfield anyway. We parked in the nearby picnic parking area, and made the short walk to GZ, where a quick find was made with the cache found in a typical hiding spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks pominaus for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.Full log to follow.
