The nav said the wrong side of the creek. The low water made it easy to cross and look at my once fav swing when I was younger

After decoding the hint and reading prev logs it became obvious that the coords were pointing me to the wrong side of the creek. A quick cross layer we soon had CIH. TFTC

This one took me a few mins. Location looked like it was a great kid hang-out when kids played more in the real world. Smile TFTC!

#10113 (3 of 5 today)Unfortunately, I'm busy later today and can't make the GCNSW Christmas Party - I've lost yet another chance to lose the mint tin toss!So I headed out in the morning to grab some finds. I decided on the first five of the *Burnt Bridge Creek* series. Those will do nicely! What's even better was I found all five without needing to resort to a PAF - although I was sorely tempted once or twice.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Glad I read some logs, or I'd have kept looking on the wrong side of the creek. Once across I searched the obvious until I spotted it totally uncovered.Completed signing duties and replaced with more camo. Then recrossed and on to the next one.SLTNLNTFTC

After having realised which side of the creek we should be on, it was just a matter of searching possible hiding places according to the D/T classification.

That's #3 done. EH had CIH before I had a chance to cross the creek. Another pleasant location. TFTC

#12987 16:40A bit of afternoon caching in Seaforth for this new series. A nice walk with some challenging find. It is only now that I am logging this cache that I understand the hint. Duh.TFTC DaJakeBoy.

Logging a few weeks after our pleasant walk along Burnt Bridge Creek. Like others before us, we sought a place to jump the creek and found it without wetting our feet. Made our way back to GZ and hunted in many places. To avoid too much damage being done by enthusiastic cachers, we hid the container where we found it but under some recognisable camouflage. Is that a contraction of terms?? SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

The walk was pleasant with some lovely foiage, and I saw a few birds and an Eastern Water Dragon on the way to this cache.Today according to the information board the water in the creek is fresh water. It certainly looked clean. Years ago however this type of creek was used for different purposes. You can see the reminants of its usage on the sides of the creek and walking towards this hide the smell was reminiscent of past use of the creek. 3TF again.Once again I couldn't make anything of the hint until after the cache was found. Luckily I'd read past logs and was looking for somewhere to cross the creek as GZ approached. Found a good place. There were plenty of possible hiding spots here and once again systematic searching which was slow eventually revealed the cache. TFTC # 5674

Got ready for a doctors appointment this morning only to realise that it wasn't until tomorrow so I decided that some caching might be what the doctor would prescibe. This new PT looked like it might be fun and it was. Starting at #1 I made my way through to #5. Fortunately I read the previous log before I spent too much time on the wrong side of the creek. Found a suitable spot where I wouldn't get wet feet and at gz poked around for a minute or so before spotting the cache. I noticed that the previous finder didn't sign the log. TFTC DajakeBoy

FTF @ 9:25 am 13/11/2023.We noticed a whole bunch of local caches being published late yesterday afternoon, but it was too late for us to head out caching, having only just returned home from a weekend caching holiday at Camden, with a stop-off at Sydney Olympic Park for the Geocaching NSW GIFF Event. The caches were all still unfound this morning so, after geoson#2 drop-off duties, we grabbed the geocaching gear and headed off to try our luck. Started with the Burnt Bridge Creek series, then crossed the Spit Bridge to Beauty Point for the street library cache, and finished off on the cliffs at Curl Curl for one of the GHHH MultiCaches. Ran out of time for the other GHHH MultiCache, as we had to return home to give geoson#1 a lift to work, so that one will have to wait for another day. This was the 3rd of 8 finds, and 3rd of 8 FTFs ( a FTF bonanza ! ), for today. This one was next, as we followed the track beside the creek. We had to crossover the creek for this one, finding a spot a little further downstream from the cache, and then walking back along the grass to GZ for another nice quick find. Opened up the container to find another blank log, which was duly signed as FTF, and then replaced as found. TNLN. There's an interesting treehouse, well it's just a timber platform really, constructed in a nearby tree. TFTC DaJakeBoy.Find #6477
