I had a scan of the area as I came by on my way upstream as my Garmin was indicating that the cache was still quite a distance away and somewhat along the track. There just might be another warning sign there and if not, well I'll be passing by soon enough. Turns out that there was only one warning so upon my return it was time to heed the hint and write up. A typical give away was quickly spotted. Cache is in good condition. Thanks.

I took the advice of the previous finder and ignored my GPS. There was enough information in the cache description and hint to make this an easy find. TFTC

Looked for this on the way in. Came to something that clearly fitted the name of the cache but GPS was indicating over 30m up the bank while the page said the hide was 3m from the item. Left it and carried on. After the second and third caches in the series we realised that co-ords couldn't really be relied upon. Valley, tall trees, bush canopy - all the ingredients for GPS inaccuracy. After the third cache we decided not to go on to the fourth. On the way out we had another look for this one using the suggested 3m and the "Where would I hide one here?" approach and it was soon found. When I picked the GPSr up after completing the formalities and replacing the cache it was showing 41m to GZ. TFTC.

Wandered up looking at the arrow and being aware of the terrain rating - never got within 30m of what was showing. Carried on up the track and found the others, then reread the description for this one and made an instant find on the way back. Thanks.

(FTF) #186 @10:08. I was needing a few caches today and was glad to see a few pop up along this track. Off in the geo-mobile for a stroll along this pleasant track. Arrived a likely spot matching the description but my GPS was indicating it was a bit further. Decided to scan some hint objects in case this was the right location and soon had the cache in hand. The blank logbook was signed and cache re-hidden where found. Thanks for the cache, sbedydnas#5399 ** Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event.
