The urban sprawl continues...This is already a nightmare road at school drop off and pickup, and it's only going to get worse!TFTC JeffJulie
We have made numerous visits to Mount Barker over the last five years and have watched the rapid increase in new estates but many of them were in the early stages. We returned today to attempt the caches that have been published since our last visit in August 2023. It is now obvious that we had previously seen only part of the housing boom in the area - the estates are much more extensive that we realised. The economic activity generated much be great for Mount Barker but we cringed at times with the design of many of the dwellings and the lack of space between many of the dwellings. We could not see ourselves living in such close proximity to neighbours. This was a straightforward find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JeffJulie for this cache and for the series which took us to parts of Mount Barker that we have not visit before.
Was a really small cache, a little hard to get log out would recommend using tweezers, but over all really cool with the placing. TFTC

This was to be a cache day/month for me so off again to Mt Barker to nab another one. This was the next closest to home and the cache was found very quickly. Looked a bit fragile but it was still there. TNLN. Cheers.
Found with LB on our way to the Oakbank event. All caches we found were in good ci. TFTC
Got it on the first pass. The cache is still in good condition.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. A lovely day to grab a few caches with greenfrog8 while on holidays in my old hometown.Clever. TFTC
Found after heading into Mount Barker to do some shopping and got sidetracked to complete this series. Thanks for the cache JeffJulie!
The very cool, grey, misty weather continues, and today Ive set my sights on Mt Barker for a handful of caches.A quick find here, but unfortunately the tether came off and I had to do some repairs. A woman in a car leaving the estate waved to me as she went past. Was that you Julie? Youve got your work cut out for placing a cache for every new subdivision in Mount Barker - every time I go back there seems to be more. Thanks for the cache and the series JeffJulie.
Out for the day with The White Dog Gang. All caches found were in good order unless otherwise mentioned. The weather was cool and drizzly and the mozzies were out in force at times. Thanks to all who placed caches.
Out for a days caching w Team WaldronTouring Mt Barker & the FleurieuOvercast & drizzly most of the day but we had funGreat cache, cool spotTFTC
Time for a Wednesday Wander with a couple of other Confused Cachers, after picking up the Rat from her nest and the Starfish from his pool it was time to head for today's playing field of Mount Barker and the surrounding area. Quite a variety of trads, multis and puzzles were found, sometimes wanted by all three of us, sometimes by only two and occasionally only by one. By the time it was time to head for homes we all had a satisfying number of finds and the local cacher managed to do some maintenance.Last of the newish trads I really wanted and this time it was a quick find. Thanks to JeffJulie for placing this cache on our playing field.Cache #14235 for me.This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Something special or unusual goes here:Having seen this style of hide earlier we made a quick find here. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday trek delayed due to a thunderstorm Time then for another Wednesday wander around the Hills near my home instead. S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg picked me up from home and off we went in search of some solved puzzles and any other caches we came across. Another fun day with me able to do maintenance on 7 caches of mine as one or both of the others found them.**SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks JeffJulie for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Tuesday trekking turned into a Wednesday wander for a trio of Confused Puzzlers. The plan was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat from the Rat's nest.We then drove up to pick up the Starfish from his abode.Today's plan was to cache around the hills.A quick find and stamp for the trio today. Tftc
Decided to do a few local caches after a of a break for health reasons. A quick find. Thanks JeffJulie.
On way home from Strath, and oh look, three new cache, good timing! So a lil detour and found all three estates.Must be more to come, as there's many estates around Mt Barker now!? Not a fan of this one's location, outside their bedroom window, made it a very quick find, but then found the attachment device had come untied... damn, more time fixing in a compromising location.Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through at 1940hrs.TNLNSL Thanks
