Spending the day exploring the Adelaide Hills and grabbing a few caches along the way. I started in Bridgewater, then to Mount Barker and then to Nairne. Despite the wind, I had an enjoyable day visiting new places. Quick find here. All good. Thank you JeffJulie, for placing The Range for the geocaching community.# # SmileSmile #15200 SmileSmile # #

We have made numerous visits to Mount Barker over the last five years and have watched the rapid increase in new estates but many of them were in the early stages. We returned today to attempt the caches that have been published since our last visit in August 2023. It is now obvious that we had previously seen only part of the housing boom in the area - the estates are much more extensive that we realised. The economic activity generated much be great for Mount Barker but we cringed at times with the design of many of the dwellings and the lack of space between many of the dwellings. We could not see ourselves living in such close proximity to neighbours.Having found similar hides during the day, this was a straightforward find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JeffJulie for this cache and for the series which took us to parts of Mount Barker that we have not visit before.

Today and tomorrow are both day/month caches for me, so off I go to the nearest one I haven't got yet - which is still a 15 minute drive. Got to GZ and saw it right away. Standing out like dog's ****s. This is another where I'm really surprised it hasn't been nicked by the public. TNLN. Cheers.

Ive been here before while the cache was missing. I was notified of maintenance by none other than the COs themselves, and so here I am, poised to make amends. This time around I knew where to park, and no trouble at all finding the cache. Nice view of the Mount from this angle. Thanks for the cache and the series JeffJulie.

Cache found in the first place I looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. This was meant to be just one more, a quickie as I start to head for home. I hadnt seen hevwalkers log. Fishing line has been used elsewhere in the series, and given that all the others are quite straightforward, I suspect this one has been muggled. Thanks anyway for all these caches JeffJulie.

After an extensive search, we found some fishing line but no cache, if that is what it was.

Time for a Wednesday Wander with a couple of other Confused Cachers, after picking up the Rat from her nest and the Starfish from his pool it was time to head for today's playing field of Mount Barker and the surrounding area. Quite a variety of trads, multis and puzzles were found, sometimes wanted by all three of us, sometimes by only two and occasionally only by one. By the time it was time to head for homes we all had a satisfying number of finds and the local cacher managed to do some maintenance.Spotted a couple, Kymo88 and Tamaralane2005, already at GZ as we approached, it's always great to meet some new cachers in the field. Signing duties completed, we each went our separate ways. Thanks to JeffJulie for placing this cache on our playing field.Cache #14232 for me.This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024.
