Found 23 Nov 2024 at 2:48:21pmAfter the GPT100 Miler was cancelled earlier on today, we were no longer required for aid station duties so we begun to head home but I noticed this trail of hides, so Misthills and I decided on a small diversion before heading home. Some unique and interesting hides along here, so kudos from me.Many thanks to Duntulum for placing Battery Chainsaw for us all to find. Find 5312 on October 13, 2024 Found while on weekend get away without the kids (wow). Today was our last day in Halls Gap before heading home. So we had to do a few more caches that was doable with the camper in tow. This was a cracker trail for incentive caches. A good laugh at nearly every hide. Wish I had more FP to give out. +1 FP from usAll is well with the cache. TFTC Duntulum
I have been staying in Halls Gap in the Grampians for the Long Weekend with TT016, PrincessAria1 & Little Goose. A lovely walk on a pleasant afternoon.Good job on the cache.TFTC Duntulum
I came to stay at Halls Gap in the Grampians for the October Long Weekend with my family. We found a lot of caches. Thanks
A literal battery chainsaw grandpa was laughing for quite a bit spotted some kangaroos and emus! TFTC find 362 thanks Duntulum for this cache
That made me chuckle very quirky and another fave oh, and yes, logbook signed!
Another well themed cache that gave us a laugh. A favourite from me.Venturing to Halls Gap on this wet and windy day with micaparamedic and Sol de lune today, we signed the logs MMS.Thanks for placing the cache Duntulum.
Up to Halls Gap with McLookers and micaparamedic for the event, with a few caches beforehand. A wet walk in along the trail however it was certainly worth it with a lot of effort going into the setup and placements of the caches. Log was signed, as MMS.Thanks for this one Duntulum. Fav point added for the fun theme of the cache.
The weather gods were not being kind to us today while in Halls Gap. The winds were damaging, howling through the trees and the rain was fairly constant but a great day was still had with chooknchunk caching around town and even managing 3 FTT's to add to the excitement of the day.Chunk, our chauffeur for the day, and I dropped chook and the male Triton off to do the walk along the track to complete the series. Only half protected with their rain jackets they wandered straight to the end for the last 2 before visiting the rest of the series on the way back. They were both very impressed by the quirky hides bubbling over with enthusiasm on their return despite their dampness. Thanks Duntulum for the fun cache in such a lovely location, a favourite point added.
With our original weekend plans falling apart, it turned out that a day trip to Halls Gap for an event would be a viable alternative. Joining forces with The Tritonz, we set off after breakfast collecting a few caches along the way. When we saw a couple of new caches had been published, we headed straight there, where Mr Tritonz and Ms Chook donned their raincoats and headed off along the trail. And what a fun trail this was. A beautiful meander through the bush dotted with really entertaining caches, most of which deserved a favourite point. These caches have really been putting a smile on the dial, and this one was no exception. Great humour, so clever and so much fun. TFTC Duntulum. Fave point.
Oh now just loving these !!!Thanks for interesting constructions giving us a bit of a giggle .TFTC
Mr Beetle was keen to get moving but I talked him in to stopping and grabbing the caches on this track. They incorporated two of our favourite things - caching and bike riding.Never seen a chainsaw quite like this one. It was really amusing but I don't think it would be very effective to cut a tree down with! Thanks and a favourite point from us for the amusement value of this one.
Find No. 4571. Found with FUF009 at 9.27am.Seeing how there are some new caches out in the Halls Gap and Stawell area, we decided we would have a caching day and see what we could find. FUF009 came with us. Today we were in the red car.First up we done a series of six caches on the outskirts of Halls Gap, where we walked the track past crocodile infested waters, T-Rex Fernery and Raptor undergrowth. We even spotted a Terrydactyl nest high up in a tree. (Good to let your imagination go wild - just like these caches we found)Luckily we managed to return to the car unharmed after earning ourselves six smilies. From here we went into town for a look around, had a cuppa in the park, watching the birds nearby. We then done some stages of the Adventure Lab. We also got a stage of another Ad Lab that starts in Bendigo. Then we headed towards the Botanic Gardens, found a couple more caches before heading back to Stawell, on our way home, finding caches along the way as we went.An enjoyable day spent caching.TFTC Duntulum. A favourite point from us for the construction that went into this, but not for the hide.
Find # 13440Found with Tyred n Cranky.A day out Stawell and Halls Gap way.Seeing as a few new caches appeared on the map we decided to head off and attempt them.We could have just stayed in Stawell but I've had my eye on the short trail just out of Halls Gap. Just a little further but we'll worth the extra travel distance and a good morning for a quick bush walk. After finding the first one on this shirt trail we had an idea on what was going to present itself at this GZ we were not disappointed. Note to CO. We did find the cache, upside-down, on the ground and seeing how the first one was attached, we managed to get this one back in place.TFTC Duntulum
*FTF*We saw several caches published in the vicinity of Halls Gap over a few days and due to other commitments, it was not possible for us to find time to be able to attempt a FTF on them. It is now 5 days later our visitor has left plus after a trip to Bendigo to pick up our caravan we are back home with the time to see that the FTFs are still out there waiting for a geocacher to be the first to sign the logs. The CO has put a lot of thought into this group of geocaches and I am certain that all the following geocachers who come here will leave with a smile on their faces. We will not tell you what put a smile on our faces we will leave the surprise for others to see for themselves
