Logs
We opted for a walk along the Templars Island trail to pick up 3 8ManAfter caches, and parked the car here. With the spoiler photo success was a quick affair. TFTC!
I am very grateful for your photo hint as I was beginning to feel silly clamrocks around the rocks by myself with juggle dog walkers around. Tftc
StreetWalkerNZ and I needed a few cache finds today, and there were 3 unfound caches in the McLeans Island area, so we decided on a lunch time visit to turn them into smiles. This was the first looked for, and SW had already found it by the time I caught up with him. TFTC.
#24172. First of three finds on a lunchtime caching trip. GZ looked daunting to search, but luckily I spotted what turned out to be the covering stone right away. Tonight when I came to log the cache I spotted the spoiler photo (had it been a long search I'd have been annoyed with myself for not noticing it). TFTC.
Super easy find, spotted the cache right away. This is the final cache for me to achieve one of the "Cosmic Quest" souvenirs!Logbook signed at 15:43 Sunday, 8th September. Cache number 380, TFTC!
Spot on co-ordinates lead me to a quick find ... I'm not sure why it took me so long after this was published to come find this since I'm often out this way. Thanks Kiwimykl, your cache is in good condition.
This was a nice easy find on a foggy morning out. A few dog walkers nearby but all good at gz. TFTH
Officially I was only "allowed two finds" - things that happen when travelling in a group and you're the only one into Geocaching..But we were early for the Orana Wildlife Park and so I got a third one just before getting there. Quick stop, quick find, replaced as per description.
Tucked neatly in place. Found with soon to sign up thecheefsir #subscribe on YouTube.
Found it. Simple find. Thanks for placing this one very much appreciated.
found today while visiting the area mainly for bridge but also to catch up with family from this part of the country. A lovely day for a walk in an area I had not visited before. Funny enough I meet up with another geocacher with the same idea. Worked well as we found all the caches we looked for along this trail. Some took longer than others, Thanks to Kiwi864 for placing and maintaining the caches along here. Will be back on a bike on day to pick up some more
This was the first find of the day. Thanks for hiding it We decided to park somewhere different for our bike ride. It's been a while since we have visited this area. We biked 14.5km by the time we got back to the car.
Shortly before our departure we Made a Little Walk Nest the Airport and we could find this Cache. Thank you for hiding.
A nice quick find. This is a new carpark since I was last in the area! Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are out and about around Christchurch today. A nice day for a drive and a bit of a wander.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
No smell today, but several dead things in the parking area. Waited for 2 cars to leave which they quickly did. Then we had the place to ourselves. Helpful foto! Thank you Kiwimykl.
The cache had been hidden a wee way from where it is shown in the hint. Now back as shown. The area is quite popular with dog walkers. It's been a few years since I first came here. Tftc.#10273
We never knew that this lovely Carpark was here and it didn't take long to find the Cache .TFTH
Saw this placement and thought I'd come for a looksee.. Haven't really been into this area yet. Anyway, after pulling in and waiting for a couple to leave the area who I thougth might be in line of sight of the cache (turns out they weren't) I drived in and came up trumps. Thanks for the placement TFTC Kiwimykl, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4615
Mr16 is learning to drive so bought him out this way on a loop. A quick find and sign at a quiet gz. Thanks.
When the cloud started to disappear late morning I made the decision to go mountain biking at McLeans Island. As I traversed around the Coringa Loop track I decided to change my normal ride and head out on the Templars Island track and go visit this cache. I was thankful for the spoiler photo as it enabled me to quickly home in on the cache. With the signing done I rode back to McLeans Island via the new track that runs parallel and just off McLeans Island Road to join the Gordon Read Track In all an enjoyable very easy 21km ride. Thanks for placing this cache so far from your normal stamping ground Kiwimykl. Cheers.
#3,967: Car Park Smiley!I came here on a mission -- trying to reach 4,000 total finds by the end of the year. As this is a regular place I go to ride, I thought I'd see if there were any "new" ones, which there are!So, this was #5.No one around, as there are only a few shopping days left before Christmas. On to the next!SL/TFTC!!
Came out this way late this afternoon for a few caches today after some successful Christmas shopping and report writing earlier in the day. I have found a cache somewhere in this carpark before - not sure where or when. Nice quick find today with the photo - cheers for that. TFTC Kiwimykl #20,716
Quick find after a wander of the area. Thanks for placing. Was wondering what the smell was so I had a look around. Wish I hadnt. Poor things.
A nice quick find before a decent walk around the area to find a few more caches. TFTC.
Nice little diversion with a slight detour on the way to work and a quick find in a deserted place. Luckily before the weather hit! TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Knew exactly how to get to this little beauty as I travel by there every week, and have watched the slow development of the area. The hint was a great idea and took us straight to the spot.Thank you.
{FTF} 10.18am. I had the junior team members with me and we were watching the planes at the end of the runway, especially the arrival of United Airlines. Having seen the fun, I noticed that a new cache had just been published nearby. Perhaps we might grab it on the way home? It was a 4 minute drive to the GZ. A helpful photo, and Mr 9 had his hands on the cache. Blank log, apart from a cacher accompanying the CO. Cool, that's Mr 9's first FTF and my first one for quite a while! Cheers for the fun. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2496
