Logs
A straightforward walk from Roast Pork with Apple Sauce following some trails at first and then easy contouring around to GZ. Took a few minutes to sight the nice little hiding spot. SL on Joshwa27's logsheet. This finished the 6 caches in this series for us, taking nearly 2 hours at my pensioner pace, picking up 4 leeches which I allowed to fill up with my blood - knowing that they would probably die from alcoholic poisoning. Thanks wshoeii for this nice series.
A trail from roast pork got me to this one. Under 5 mins to find. Signed and replaced. Was starting to get dark, to get to the next 4 star terrain bush bash cache. Next time. Know the area a bit better for future walks. Tftc.
Finally, the end was in sight! There was a brief section of a real track we could follow, but soon we had to head bush again because the compass was pointing off to one side.Again, not an easy find by any means. I had checked this spot earlier on, and I had even noticed something slightly suspicious. However, I had dismissed that little nagging voice telling me that I was recognising something I had seen many times before. So we spent far too much time here looking elsewhere. Eventually, I came back and had another look. This time it really stood out what was incongruous, and I made the grab.Alas, the log was soaking wet and despite trying to write on the paper with a pen, and then also with the pencil, we gave up for fear of tearing the paper. Instead, we opted for a photo log of our find. This cache, and perhaps the other one on the ridge here, needs a bit of maintenance before the log sheet turns into a mouldy mess.Anyway, I was glad to have completed the food series. Now there was a 3+ hour drive up to the camping event near Cessnock ahead of me. At least I knew I had some nice steaks that would go on the BBQ later that evening ... a real dinner to round off the day.
Found with Stefanoodle and gavingo4. Watersoaked and fake. What are hard cache to find. We attached the log as it was not possible to sign. TFTC.
Found with Storeyteller. Sneaky hide. Gps is a little off it had me going 5 m in another direction. Quick find tho. Dinner tonight is roast turkey and vegesTftc!!!
Thank you the four geoMusketeers, aka BW, BM, MC & TC, for finding this new cache yesterday. Today I simply had to revisit where I was last seen a week ago. Weather much nicer. And left the bush tided up with less traces left behind. Very satisfied with the second helping of the Dinner. Left plenty for you all
Walking with Martin Cousins, Brewmaker and Bella at Waggy. We earned our dinner here. After about half an hour we found it buried under moved rocks. TFTC.
OCW with Team Canary, Martin Cousins, and bella at waggy. After grabbing some breakfast in Springwood, we decided we needed more sustenance in the bush and a really decent bush bash, too! This took ages, and only after some digging around we unearthed the cache, we could say we were [FTF]. I'm sure the previous searcher must have actually touched it. Now hidden and hopefully no longer gets buried. TFTC
{FTF} with Brewmaker, B@W, and Team Canary, Id say the previous searcher in SurdiVisio touched the cache container, Im certain of it.Reverse back to the search, with the 4 of us at it, everything surely had to come good. We were expanding our search area to a ridiculous circumference from actual GZ. Succumbed for a hint, eventually had that CIH moment. Although finding out the previous searcher had accidentally semi-buried the hide. Thanks wshoeii for allowing us to have dinner in the bush.
Meet up for breakfast with Team Canary, Brewmaker and Martin Cousins. It appears we didnt eat enough as we went hunting food caches. A good but at times strenuous bush bash that the pedometers said was not that far or hard. Some tough hides and even a wallaby spotted. This was a long search for a joint **FTF** as the cache may have been buried from previous searches. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Stopped here on way to search for my lost TOTT. Another 20 mins search, no CIH. Good luck to next finder
No dinner for me, after one hour salivating. Happy to leave this for the next geocacher to claim FTF. Still happy to have an attempt.
