#14868 13:10A quick find along the Great Western Highway. The little pull-over parking spot is used as a rubbish dump for fast food wrappings. An impromptu CITO might have been in order, but we had to drop off gavingo4 at the car 10 minutes earlier so we had to keep on moving.OCW Brewmaker, gavingo4, Martin Cousins and EverestHigh.TFTC WaywardWoman.

Thanks for the cool cache. S'pose it's Christmas in July. The kids loved the stamps and trinkets. As a bonus, we found the largest tick I've ever seen. Accessed via the chain gate at Wilson Way lights. Beware the tall grass.

We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect the new Adventure Labs, Letterbox, Traditional, and Puzzle/Mystery caches that have appeared around Penrith & surrounds since our last visit to the area back in May 2023. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains for some new caches and to attend a Winter Solstice Event at Mount Riverview, and a Post Winter Solstice CITO Event the following day at Cranebrook. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 6th of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 6th find of the holiday. After finding "Fun Science Facts #2 - Atomic Bananas" we did a turn-a-round a little further up the highway to start our journey back down towards Mount Riverview, and this was the next cache we came to. Parked the geomobile at the recommended location on the side of the highway, which we remember parking at for a solved Mystery/Puzzle cache some time back, then headed off down the bush track/road to GZ for a nice quick find on arrival. Stamped & signed the logbook, swapped a trinket, then replaced the well stocked festive cache as found. TFTC WaywardWoman.Find #6856

Found It!Looked in the wrong tree at first but then a quick find once I looked in the right one. I wondered how this cache got published so close to the puzzle final location nearby but then realised that the puzzle had been archived. Another solved puzzle that I never got to find.TFTC

#7769The weather has given us a break, so were back to boots on the tracks rather than tyres on the road, still chipping away at some challenges and other goals as we go. It was generally cool, a few light showers didn't really slow us down a lot, bunches of leeches in spots! We went from multi to multi today, looking for old caches and "3's" as we went.A new letterbox, always worth a drive to rest the legs after some higher terrain caches....Thanks for the cache!

#7769A wet week at home, and still a wet weekend in the Blue Mountains to come by the looks, we need to at least get out and do some caches! Decided to head down to this area and nab some of the newer unfounds nearby, mainly targetting D/T 3s and oldies, and whatever else nearby! end of copy paste FLTFThanks for placing and maintaining this cache WaywardWoman

#10270 (5 of 5 today)Im after a few caches for my calendar today, and wondered on a good target. Im heading down to the Illawarra tomorrow, so south wasnt an option. Then I realised that I havent been to the Bluies for a while. A quick look at the map revealed some likely targets around Lawson & Blaxland. That sounds like a plan.In the end I snaffled five hides - none long bush walks due to the heat. And I came across a few of the usual suspects in the logs, who had been here before me today.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION ###Parked at the recommended spot and thenWell the previous finders didnt beat *THAT* good a path to GZ earlier today, as I still found myself wading through long grass and using my hiking pole to check for wildlife!Walked in a familiar area - although last time I approached from the opposite direction. Once at GZ I checked a few spots before finding the right one.Added my name to the list of the victorious and beat a path - literally - back to the car.Time to head home before I melt any further.SLTNLN TFTC

After completing the Florabella Pass walk our group of EverestHigh, Brewmaker, JG1972, Mighty Minions and myself split and went in different directions.I'd decided to try and increase my Letterbox cache tally so headed northward for this one. Luckily I'd read the cache page (always a good idea in my opinion) so I knew where to park to walk to the cache. I didn't really like the look of the long grass, bit snakey looking but I walked in any way. No one's been walking there dog here this year. The hint made for a quick find. Lots of Christmas goodies here. I didn't take anything as it's a bit far off, 339 days to be exact.TFTC # 5769
