I was visiting a friend in Mt Barker overnight. Today it was time for the long trek home but not before spending some time with her finding a few caches. It was a lovely morning with greenfrog & puponyx.Easily found TFTC JeffJulie
Quick visit to Mount Barker today with just time to grab one cache. An easy find .... thanks for the hide!!
Another quick park and grab on a morning out with Muggle Mum, cleaning up some of the newish caches placed close to home. I can remember when you could stand here and see only a few farmhouses!TFTC JeffJulie
This was another one to knock off for my day/month grid. A quick find as the kids saw this one as we drove past to park the car. Literally. Cache logged and put back. TNLN. Cheers.
Out before the heat. Surprising what you find around these new estates. TFTC JeffJulie.
We have made numerous visits to Mount Barker over the last five years and have watched the rapid increase in new estates but many of them were in the early stages. We returned today to attempt the caches that have been published since our last visit in August 2023. It is now obvious that we had previously seen only part of the housing boom in the area - the estates are much more extensive that we realised. The economic activity generated much be great for Mount Barker but we cringed at times with the design of many of the dwellings and the lack of space between many of the dwellings. We could not see ourselves living in such close proximity to neighbours. This was a straightforward find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JeffJulie for this cache and for the series which took us to parts of Mount Barker that we have not visit before.

Parked and wandered over to the wall. Spotted cache. Signed and returned.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. Something special or unusual goes here:***Joint FTF 10.10 a.m. 2/1/23***Didn't expect this one to be unclaimed after the others that came out at the same time had all been claimed. Nice quick start for the day and a FTF to boot. And the FTF streak continues - at least 1 FTF each year! Didn't take long to get 2023 ticked off.The Generic Bit:The usual Tuesday Trek with S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg. We met up at my pond and went in search of some newer caches in Mount Barker before branch out in the sticks a bit and finishing in Strathalbyn. A fun day in the sticks where I hadn't been for about 5 years or so. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks JeffJulie for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Time for a Tuesday trek, for ma trio of Confused Puzzlers. Our plan for today was for Mr Rat to drop Mrs Rat at ttrogg's den.We set out to meet up with the Starfish, for a fun filled day in the hills. This was a quick find and stamp the trio today.A joint FTF at 10:20 Tftc
One of four of JeffJulies subdivision caches logged this afternoon. I managed a FTF on one at sunset last night and Im enjoying the series, so back for more. The way Mount Barker is going, this will end up being quite a substantial series! An easy one here. Really should have got FTF on this one yesterday too; drove right past it!Thanks for the cache and this series JeffJulie.
