A nice morning for a short walk with my familyTFTC

I was visiting a friend in Mt Barker overnight. Today it was time for the long trek home but not before spending some time with her finding a few caches. It was a lovely morning with greenfrog & puponyx. We had to park up the road a bit for this one. We walked to GZ and I had a pretty good idea where the cache was going to be. Yep!! all good.TFTC JeffJulie Smile

After picking up the Rat from her nest we headed down to the Starfish's pool to join him in a Tuesday Mystery Tour he'd prepared for us in one of my favourite caching area, the hills. This was one of quite a few that I wanted. One for all of us, not found immediately but it was found right where it had to be.Thanks to JeffJulie for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14997 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

Something special or unusual goes here:Not in the usual spot for this series but a quick find in the only place it could be. SmileThe Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trekking for the trio of puzzle solvers. Cool My turn to plan, so Ttrogg picked up S.A. Sewer Rats and came to my pond to set out from there. [^] I planned a circuit down towards National Park for a few puzzles and then back to Mt. Barker but we decided to do the Mt. Barker area first whilst the sun shone. Surprised Didn't get to do many in National Park but there will be more Tuesdays to come. Wink Of course we got a few close caches whilst passing as we made our way around the hills game board. Big Grin***Thanks JeffJulie for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big GrinLogs prepared and published through GSAK.

We have made numerous visits to Mount Barker over the last five years and have watched the rapid increase in new estates but many of them were in the early stages. We returned today to attempt the caches that have been published since our last visit in August 2023. It is now obvious that we had previously seen only part of the housing boom in the area - the estates are much more extensive that we realised. The economic activity generated much be great for Mount Barker but we cringed at times with the design of many of the dwellings and the lack of space between many of the dwellings. We could not see ourselves living in such close proximity to neighbours.Again, accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JeffJulie for this cache and for the series which took us to parts of Mount Barker that we have not visit before.

One of five Mount Barker subdivision caches by JeffJulie, which I think finishes off the series for me. So much new housing; where do all these people work?? The caches were all pretty easy finds, and are in good condition. Thanks for this cache and the series JeffJulie.

Out to grab another day/month cache, this time with naughtybunny. Was disappointed to see another "estate" cache has gone missing nearby but at least this one was better hidden. A quick find as there weren't too any hiding spots. TNLN. Cheers.

Quick find here, this subdivision actually isn't too hideous! They've done the park and playground well. It'll be interesting to revisit in a few years and have another look.TFTF JeffJulie.

I am guess there is scope for another cache in this endless series nearby. I had a look at one of the signs.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach.
