I was in town for an hour or so, waiting for the next train. It was raining fairly heavily today, and I had to be fast to get the photo. I love making a good impression! Thanks for placing this virtual.

Having returned from a trip from Tassie and now visiting family, I swung by this virtual while waiting to pick them up from work. Interesting little history lesson.

A statue that I am familiar with. Thank you for putting a cache here.

Found by The Empire + HThe statue of King Edward VII in Geelong is an intriguing sight, especially considering its turbulent history. Today, the statue looks whole again, though the scars of its past mishap still make for a fascinating story. The restoration shows the citys dedication to preserving its historical monuments, offering visitors a chance to reflect on both the legacy of King Edward VII and the more recent history of the statue itself. Thanks for the cool virtual cache Cybergran V.-MVirtual #258

This cache had been listed to do today although I wasn't expecting to be so tired by the time I got here. OHC, Papi4506 and I have had a great time in the Geelong outskirts so were all pleased that this was nice and uncomplicated. Thanks for the cache.

Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick and myself have spent a lovely weekend in and around the area. This was our "just one more" caches on our way home today. Pleased that it was a nice quick virtual as I don't think the ladies have a lot of energy left. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.

After nearly four weeks in Adealaude with family, we are heading home. We arrived in Geelong this afternoon to board the Spirit of Tasmania this evening for what looks like being a rough crossing of Bass Strait. While on the Geelong Waterfront, we noticed this virtual cache close to where we were having lunch. So we took the opportunity to visit and take the required photo. Thanks Cybergran V and BFMC for the virtual cache. I

24 August 2024 08:54 dalerious and I are in Geelong again and our trip down started in Tatura, and we eventually got here via Albury. That was the Friday and after attending a CITO in the pouring rain which stopped just as the CITO finished, dalerious and I continued on into the night signing our names in some high "D" rated caches. It was an awesome day.Saturday arrived and we had another super list to get through. The weather was more behaved and we started the day with an awesome Multi-cache by N0w0ries, then onto this Virtual put out, of sorts, by Mum.dalerious has the happy snaps which he will put with his log, so all that is left for me to say is, what a lovely spot to put a Virtual. Thank you Cybergran V and BFMC. Favourite point given.

24 August 2024 8:54amA lot of miles covered this weekend and a lot of awesome caches found. CoolThis is one that was on our "to do" list since we first found out that BFMC had managed to pry a Virtual cache from mum's (CybergranV) clutches. Twisted ....and well used it proved to be. [^]A great bit of research done on this prominent piece of marble which catnap777 & I got to visit early in the morning on the 2nd day of our Geelong Odyssey. Big GrinWe do wonder where Georgie's original head wound up. Surely someone knows something. [8]But perhaps they are keeping it under their hat. TwistedRazzWinkTFTC BFMC and Cybergran V. Big Grin

I was pulling up outside our home when the phone went *ping*. I looked at where the cache was and thought I had little chance of making the [FTF], but I decided to have a crack anyway as it was early on a work day. I was thinking through the usual suspects for an FTF in Geelong and also considered that not everyone has Virtual caches on their alert list, so I may have a chance. The traffic was not too bad, and it took just over half an hour to arrive. There were no logs, so I parked Rogue, the geomobile and made my way to the statue. I have a pathtag on my keyring, which made the logging requirement quite easy to achieve at 8.38 am.Then, I was off to home to complete some more assignment work. It was surprisingly considerably more foggy on the way home than on the way into G-Town.Thank you, Cybergran V and BFMC, for this Virtual cache. A favourite point as I love Virtual caches and it is always great when you snag an FTF.
