On our way home from Geraldton using caches to stop and break up the drive and mainly concentrating on earth caches, virtuals and Ad Labs as you have no muggle problems with these. We're in the park to do the new adventure lab in here and we're not going to go past a virtual that was here as well.As luck would have it we had visited a lot of the places doing the ad lab so we knew which we are favourite garden was and wandered back there to get a picture. Many thanks for bringing out us to this great location and for the nice virtual.
I like the Flinders ranges garden the most, as there were lots of seeds on the tree at the entrance, and I liked the different colours in the large rocks that were in the garden
Found by Mary and David at 16:40. We've been here quite a few times now, There always seems to be something different to see. Quite hot this afternoon- 34 degrees. We chose the Eremophila Garden. Our thanks to Jamms_SA.
Enjoyed walking through and seeing the different style of gardens.Jamms_SA, I found Arid Gardens Virtual Reward 4.0 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
We are on a caravanning trip around Australia and called into the gardens to have a look around. I thought I was going to go for the coastal garden before we arrived but I like the plant in this pot. Thanks for the virtual cache
I helped plant the eremophila patch back in 2003. I then assisted with the sundial set up in 2009. The place is booming. Angela behind the desk knew me. I taught her kids in Whyalla. I got a free quandong ice cream. I said no but she said yes. I could almost tell the time to a second on the analemma after downing the 2 scooops. Yes I said 1 scoop. But when you say 1 you know theyll give you 2. You had to be there. And I was. Found on a memorial Whyalla weekend trip. Thanks Jamms_SA and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! My favourite part was inside the visitor building, without the flies. It is a good arid arboretum, the flies add authenticity. The quandong garden was my favourite. I'm sitting under a tree in the shade.TFTVC
After spending 2 days at Copley and 4 days in Arkaroola we were now at Quorn for a couple of days. Today we decided we would drive across to Port Augusta to visit the Arid Lands Botanical Gardens. It is a lovely place. We spent all day here including a nice tasting plate and sweets for lunch. Such a relaxing environment with the plants, flowers, and all the bird life. It was wonderful. The sculptures and the metal work at the gardens are some fantastic pieces of artwork. We wandered around the gardens and I decided the Eremophila Garden was my favourite with so many lovely flowers and the birds that they attracted. I was trying to photograph the birds but found them very elusive Thanks for setting up this Virtual cache for my enjoyment
The Arid Botanic gardens are great. A wonderful experience for us We walked all over, including the lookout and up the path to the earth cache. Thanks Jamms for taking us here
It was great to see this virtual here, so with sacada we had to make the visit. I really love arid landscapes so this was a great place, I chose the gardens with the Flinders in the back drop, the Eremophila Garden. We then continued around exploring and happy with a *FTF*. Thanks for highlighting!
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor with a stop at Maralinga, Ceduna and Lincoln Park.TFTC. *ftf* with Aquilus1. A lovely collection of arid gardens.
