Quick find in the dark while waiting to pick up from the airport. Lovely views back across the apron. Thanks.
This afternoon we decided to get 3 8ManAfter caches along the Templars Island Trail at McLeans Island ... we saved this one for the drive back, to be on the right side of the road. Quickly found. TFTC!
I've been driving past plenty of times this year but I had no idea there was a cache hiding here so I turned around and parked right next to it. It was good timing as an Air New Zealand 737 was landing so not sure if a few window seat passengers saw what I was doing. Thanks to ThatDarnBear. Your cache is in good condition.
TFTC. Found with andyfreya. He found a yellow snake inside the cache and didn't want to hold it, hmmmmm. No climbing in hedges this time.
I have just arrived in Christchurch and that darn bear asks what do I want to do? Might as well get some caches on the way home, to which she replied Excellent! So here we are. The bear stayed in the van I I went solo for for a look. A nice easy find although I spent a bit of time at the wrong post as that was where my phone led me. Still, a good example of no hint required. Is there even a hint on this cache? I didn't look.
Day 2 of our epic Christchurch trip. After the chaos of the first day, we decided to slow things down a bit for day 2. Todays plan was Port Hills, Lyttleton, then around and out to Akaroa. While not specifically a cache day, it would be rude not to collect any caches along the way. After a long day, we decided to clean up the last couple around the airport on our way back to our accom.
Having solved a bunch of mysteries over the past couple of months, including the night before finding them. A spontaneous trip down was made by Kiwi Does Stuff and team Reschedule to collect some Canterbury caches. We have headed out to set ourselves a personal best for a days caching. The perfect caching wagon (a rental car) has been acquired allowing us to go anywhere with ease. All of the caches have made for an enjoyable weekend to remember and resulted in a solid and best days caching.Apologies for the generic log, all caches signed are a mixture of Res, Resch & Reschedule - a big thanks to the CO for creating, placing and maintaining all of their caches. TFTC!
Doing some plane spotting with friends when I realised Ive gone past this cache so many times!Somehow forgot a pen but have a photo as proof.Cache found at 11:24 Sunday, 26th May. Cache number 346, TFTC!
ent for a bike ride near the back of the airport this afternoon to pick up a couple of caches. Both were reasonably quick finds. #7123. TFTC.
Well, I made that one a lot harder than it needed to be... but it's in the book now, and that's all that counts. Cheers!
I was wondering where to cyclocache today so brought up a map of unfounds within 30km and saw that I had a couple of caches out near the airport. That was enough of an enticement to head that way via the Groynes and Lake Roto Kahuta. 45 mins after leaving home I pulled up at GZ. Gee that airport bypass road is busy.! I decided to ignore the traffic and search regardless. I missed the cache on the first pass but foumnd it on the second. TFTC ThateDarnBear..
A nice quick find, down on my knees. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are out and about around Christchurch today. A nice day for a drive and a bit of a wander.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
First, I thought it was there, then there, then maybe it was there but of course it was just there. Such a busy road so there was no point waiting for a quiet spot. Thank you ThatDarnBear
After tree events coconuts3 and I went round the corner to this one. A bit of leaf litter poking and a cache was eventually found. All signed and replaced. TFTC
Came here after our adventure this morning with busy paws. Did another tree cache then this to give us 3 finds for today. Thanks for this cache ThatDarnBear.
11:07 Dropped Mom off at the airport, so a perfect occasion to come and find this cache afterwards. Didn't see any landings or take-offs in the short time I was here. However I spotted a convoy of airport fire brigade trucks doing a lap around the runways!Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, ThatDarnBear!#10247
On a mission with That Darn Bear and youngest GeoKiddo collecting random old tools. Just had to grab a few along the way ! That Darn Bear doesn't get to log this one though, as it is hers
QEF and TFTC. Caught a break in the traffic. Cache was practically lying in the open but is now tucked a little closer the the hint item. #10261
Almost missed the extra clue and whizzed by!! Returned on the correct side and made a quick find. Great to have parking close by but my other half got quite a shock when the plane dropped in!!! Thanks a fun find.
#23526. I would have signed the log when I visited with Troodles if the FTF was still up from grabs. Given the FTF had gone, I decided to wait for a day where I needed a find to keep the streak going (it's about to end; this might be the last physical cache of the stream). Headed out today to find it. Quick find given I knew where to look. Easy access on the bike. TFTC.
We decided to wait untill a line of cars had past then it was a quick find.TFTH
No peklo. J samozejm radji piznala pr pytlk chips, co mi zbyly, a taky njak cigarety. A pilo hodn lid z celho svta. My first tradi cache in New Zealand ! An easy found. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.
I decided to park further away on the large gravelled area and walk the last bit. My favourite plane, the A380, was parked up at the airport. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
A completely unintentional {FTF} ! Was biking past, saw a green icon, stopped to grab it. Wait, the log book is blank, what?!?!?! Awesome to nab a FTF, and a great day out biking and caching. Thanks!!! Editing now that I'm home - I think I found it around 11.30am, so just an hour after it published. I logged it while I was there so 2TF must have been very soon after me. I was wondering if I'd see anyone turn up once I realised it was a new cache. Looks like a great place for plane spotting here, none while I was here but there were a few people out watching when I went past the other direction. Thanks for placing the cache!
I noticed the other day that I was nearing my 23456th find, and it seemed a pretty neat number to record. I had been doing a few ad labs lately, and didn't want this find to go unremarked, so mentioned to StreetWalkerNZ that we needed to find a "normal" cache. As there were no logs recorded for this cache when we arrived at GZ, we hoped that there was still a FTF available, but on unrolling the log book, we saw that Angelic_kiwi had bet us to it. SW decided to leave the paperwork for another day, as this is within cycling range of his work place, To help celebrate this auspicious number, a plane took off and flew overhead as we were waiting for the passing traffic to clear. TFTC.
A day of jobs around home. Heading out to Kaiapoi in the early evening to perform maintenance on a couple caches, stopped by for a quick find and sign. Thanks.
