Was in the area visiting a show when I thought I'd do a few caches to fill in some gaps to kill some time afterwards. Managed to knock off more than I thought! This took a while and really wondered where it could be. Could see the clue and followed it. A-ha! Saw it at the right angle. A great cache and loved the camo. TNLN. Cheers.
on a holiday to adelaide and decided to try out some caches, weve seen a few like this in melbourne and we love them, TFTC!
Met up with Doctor Owl and CPwanderer for breakfast then went and found a few caches before a lunch event. CP left us after the event and the Owl and I continued on for the afternoon. Another good day with quite a few caches we all hadn't found along with lots of the usual banter. We looked...and looked...and looked but could not spot anything out of the ordinary. It was only after Owl looked again at a spot we had both looked at before and there it was. As others have said once yo see it you can't unsee it!! A fav for me.Thanks for the cache Squizzie_.
CPWanderer informed Owl of a lunch event and invited her to go caching around the event. This quickly turned into the proposed weekly caching trip with JJ52. The overly-ambitious list of mutually unfound caches was not achieved but there was fun, frivolity, a short maintenance run and good food along the way until CP had to go home. The women carried on without him and added to their tally nicely, including this cache. It was nearly a DNF, as the obvious structure had been searched and researched, but Owl just happened to get at the right angle and spotted something unbelievable. Love your work!
TFTC . FOUND with the help of the clue. No pen on me will come back and sign later.
I thought I knew what I was looking for here and I thought that this would be quick and easy, but its very well done and took me a while. Nice hide, thank you you for this one Squizzie. A favourite.
Wow, this one was so hard for us newbs as we went back for a second lookbut great camo and hide, tftc
Something special or unusual goes here:Another clever hide that took a long time to spot despite guessing what to look for. However once found you just can't help but see it! The Generic Bit:Only two or the usual trio of puzzle solvers were available for Tuesday Trekking today. Myself and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rats. Poor Troggy was not well. Luckily for us OzGruff stepped up and agreed to accompany us in search of puzzles and anything else we came across. [ Today we started out near Yatala, cruised down to West Beach for an event and then back again. [^] The usual laughs and a picnic lunch. ***Thanks Squizzie_ for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Two Confused geocachers+OzGuff set out for Mystery Tuesday. The Plan for today was the Starfish picked up the Rat from her nest. Then we set out to pick up OzGuff.WE followed the boxes. This one took awhile to find. But the Rat soon had the hide in her paws.Stamped the logbook and replaced where I found it.A fave point for the fun. Tftc
Was out with Cheezel, who recommended this one to me. He didnt provide hints but watched as I clumsily looked for the cache which had excellent camo. Took me a few minutes to find it, even though it was right in front of me. Fav point for how good this one is!
Today was the first day of annual leave, so after attending to some medical appointments Id been putting off for a while, I decided to take the hike for a spin from downtown Prospect to Waterfall gully via Norton Summit just to make it a bit more interesting. I grabbed a couple en route to the start of the climb and then a few more after I had reached Waterfall Gully. However I had failed to notice the approaching rain front and my geocaching plans were cut short. Unfortunately the ride home from Kensington Gardens back to Prospect was accompanied by persistent rain. TFTC to all COs.
4/4/24, Thursday (4th day of the week). So many 4s.This morning, I went to Magill for business. After that, I tried this cache as it's close by.Parked around the corner, and walked to GZ.Checked here and there, then found the cache.Signed the log sheet, and put the cache back. Thanks for the cache, Squizzie_. A favourite point awarded.
I looked and I looked and I looked. Then Striker found it. TFTC Squizzie.Striker and Runningman222.
Came back with Cheezel1961 after a very helpful PAF and found the cache straight away.Great hide!TFTC!
I put it down to the early morning sunlight in my eyes, to the fact this was the 1st cache of the day and we werent warmed up, to the pressure of cyclists could riding by, no breakfast.what else can I blame Back for a 2nd look and there it is how did we miss itThis is a super good hide of this varietygets a favourite point from meTFTC
Wed been reading the logs for this one over the last few weeks, so when the opportunity came up today to have a look we took it. The find took longer than it should have - I should have checked the listing more closely Found with Rumpuslabs, tftc
Found after a long search and about to give up Very well hidden Now we've seen it how did we not see it before. Take a favourite.
Another Tuesday adventure with Mattycat, today we are heading to the city with a little more focus on the eastern side, here on dusk made the search much harder than it would normally eventually found by feel the clever hideTFTC Squizzie_
Found It!No cyclists here today. Which was good since it took a bit of searching before I saw that cache. That blends in surprising well!TFTC
Out for an awesome 8K, hike through Morialta, and now Im strolling through the suburbs. As I approached Ground Zero, I saw an entire family, searching and searching and searching. It was the frogkeepers. We chatted for while, and then searched for about five minutes, until finally, I spotted something. And then one by one, the entire frogkeeper family also found the container. Which is a very good hide. TFTC.
Found after attending 'Meet and Greet Walkerville Memorial Gardens', completing a short circuit to search for a few caches in the eastern suburbs. Thanks for the cache Squizzie!
A spot I have been past many times on a bike the cache was nicely hidden and is all goodToday I had most of the day free so after a morning breakfast event in North Adelaide I made my way around the eastern suburbs finding a few caches. Thanks for the cache
Came down this way to visit some friends and this was one of three newish trads found 'while in the area'.Gave the interesting structure at GZ the once over, then the twice over, then the third over, then the cache was found.Bicycle count : zero.Seem to remember the first time I saw this style of hide was for a cache number favoured by a certain VR that was quite a while ago. Thanks to Squizzie_ for another nice hide.Cache #14511 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. On the way to perform grandkids school pickup, and had a few minutes spare, so decided that I had some time to detour by and make the find. Parked round the corner and wandered over to GZ, and spotted GZ immediately by following the hint. Like others, I looked and looked and looked and looked and saw nothing. Hmmm. Was running out of time, and as I started to wander back to the car, I took one more backwards glance, and eh!!!. What's that? Oooohhhh. That's clever. Very well concealed. Just love clever camo. Fave for that. Removed the cache, signed the log, and then replaced all as found. Just in time to get to the school for pickup.Bicycle count, 1.Gratias pro cache Squizzie_
Quick stop on way home, for a quick find of a well blended cache.. there's a hint on the cache page, not the logs, of what to look for... lolNice work!TNLNSL Thanks
Cache found in the first place I looked, which was not the last place I looked because I missed it on the first pass. Then I looked elsewhere. Then I looked there again. Then I looked elsewhere. Then I looked there again. Then I looked elsewhere. Then I looked there again. Then I looked elsewhere. Then I looked there again. Then I looked elsewhere. Then I looked there again. This time the cache had returned from the other dimension were it had been hiding and I spotted it in the first place I looked.Bicycle count: About 100.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log.
