Find #: 3,718Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Grey spring morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Rhodes parkrun I explored the nearby(ish) area's caches; this was my third. Yay found our first cache Smile Was a nice quick and easy one. Classic, my partner grabs it and then thumbles it plonk into the water as I was whispering "they said careful not to drop it into the water..." Dw, it was retrieved unharmed and hasn't looked better (not a single droplet inside) TFTC!

(2 of 2 today)After the fund of the *Battlecache Event* I was going out tonight to see ex-members of Mental as Anything at Marrickville. On the way I decided one more find for the day was on the cards so stopped by here.Lots of muggles around - most playing netball - so moved in on this one during a break in the muggle-walking dogs and made a quick grab.Took a short distance away to sign it, then back for the replace. Now on to Marrickville. Fun night.SLTNLNTFTC

16-May-24
A dry day with a moderate temperature had Oldmorty and myself on the hunt in the Inner West. We arrived to have the place to ourself. Walked over to GZ and was wary of redbacks after reading logs and it wasn't until we found more pipes on the other side did we come up with the prize. TFTC!

16-May-24
OCW morty8888 for another enjoyable day's caching in the inner western suburbs. Once on the right side of the bridge morty8888 pointed to where the cache was and stated don't drop it in the canal. Completed signing just as bus loads of school girls arrived for an afternoon of sport. TFTC

Hadnt been checking new caches so only recently discovered this one was along one of my favourite walking routes! Quick find tonight - TFTC

23-Apr-24
Well this morning I thought a short drive over to Canada Bay and a walk along the canal might be in order, and judging by previous logs it would be a quick find.Well it didn't work out to be quick as the council were mowing the grass right beside GZ. Do I walk around, do I wait - maybe not, he might move to the other side of the bridge and that would be just as annoying. As I approached I watched what the mowing cart was doing and saw a pattern, so I stood at GZ and as he mowed away from me with his back to me I quickly put my hand in a possible place but no luck, then as he came towards me I intently watched nothing happening in the canal. The mowing muggle couldn't see into the canal from his angle so I hope he assumed there was lots of activity down there. It took 3 of his circuits before I put my hand in the correct spot to feel and grab the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache.Didn't like that carpark as you have to drive out left and round the block to head back to Drummoyne.TFTC # 5970

Were glad this was a nice quick find. Plenty of dog walkers and joggers passing by while we were here. Luckily we had a break in passing traffic when we made the find. Only one lonely ibis foraging in the waterway this arvo. Thank you WarmDormVR.

23-Mar-24
A quick find with my grandson. No ducks unfortunately. TFTC.

22-Mar-24
A bad lack of communication here.... While MrG was navigating to Pipes I had the phone set for Gipps Street Troll. Consequently I couldn't get why we were taking such a looong way round to GZ. Eventually got ourselves on the same page and arrived at Pipes for a quick find. Life's bewildering enough without that confusion! TFTC WarmDormVR.

Found on the early morning cycle. Happy geocacher unhappy redback! Thanks for the warning prior finder. TFTC WarmDormVR #2598

Brewmaker brought me for a drive in the car so we could find this cache. He found it quickly. I had my paw stamp to add next to my name on the log sheet. Then we went for a walk along the creek to the bay. It was a lovely place to visit. TFTC

11-Mar-24
Found with GeodogZelda. Quickly had CIH after I found an envelope on the ground nearby that had me thinking this would be a field puzzle. But it was only to do with the local netball teams. Now, to take Zelda for a walk around the park and bay. TFTC

{FTF} @6:15am, early bird, silly oclock too. Had no interest in going for the FTF, as I had to drop off glue to a stonemason who will be working on a sandstone wall to a tennis court in Straithfield. As I have a new shower screen to install in Gosford and its a diversion from Straithfield to the M1, thought, why not.Made the discovery in the dark, and thanks for the pleasant smile today too
