Thought we may as well grab this one as well.So glad I had a tree climber with me.Cheers
Feels strange visiting this park without my old 4 legged friend. We used to frequent Tye Park and it was his favorite place to visit. It's been over a year since his passing and I still miss him like crazy. RIP Max.Tftc
Upon reaching the area, we quickly worked out this was not just a simple 1.5x1.5, but eitherway we were committed. Jokingly I convinced 1 member of Reschedule to climb the wrong tree, while we eyed up the correct one. I guess there may be other methods to retrieve, but for us this did invlove a small tree climb.
Ticking off some caches in the surround area, Kiwi Does Stuff and ourselves set off to complete a few straggler caches. Not sure what to make of the D/T ratings being this style of cache but we approached with our best shot. Convincing one member of Team Reschedule to climb the wrong tree we quickly abandoned and found a nicely concealed cache nearby. TFTC!
Thank you!! We found it - swapped stuff out and scored a lovely painted rock. Really cool and great for kids!!
On my way to papamoa today so after a call from Flossy diverted to this cache on my way as she had the right tool for the job. Many thanks.
Out early to try for this one again and have brought a tool and fellow cacher. All quiet and soon spotted the cache. Our tool was just high enough and still took a bit of a stretch. Thanks for replacing TFTC
Could see it but neither of us could get up so will return one day with a ladder.
I used to live on Forrester Drive but never realised this park was here. Or, have I just forgotten? Well, new to me today let us say! This should have been an easy retrieval but was not. Where has my strength gone? Hmmm. Anyway, TFTC, Im glad I wont have to get up the tree again.
with had a DNF here on our previous visit.reached out to a earlier finder who confirm we were in right spot but no cache.got notification yes it missing from CO so back today to hopefully find it this time.cache at location this time.thanks for replacing.TFTC
With the niece on a damp afternoon. The weather was so unpredictable, this could turn out to be a Sunday drive. Lets see if we can throw in some caching for good measureIt started to drizzle while I zeroed in on the right tree. I spotted the cache and felt uncomfortable - Will I have to climb? I looked around for any boosters, but the area was clear. After circling a couple of times, I attempted to reach it I managed to get a fingertip hold of the cache and did the business without having to climb. Thank goodness for height. Thanks ninjahape. TFTC.
**#21,351**Last cache for the day, managed 4 finds on a day we were not supposed to be caching Already well dark by now and the threat of rain, we managed to get into the carpark, hopeful they don't close the gates any time soon and raced to GZ across the grassed area.Quickly climbed up the first tree we spotted and sure enough, there it is, nice one!
Quick check on this one... it went missing found it at the other end of the estuary, cache was replaced with a sturdy one and put back in its place. secured & fixed, happy hunting.
Can this one be checked please. Talking to a previous finder. I think it has gone
Have two grandkids for the day so thought more eyes better than just mine.Nice find ninjahape, signed & returned as found.Thankyou.
I climbed 2 x trees to finally achieve success by walking around the third???? and spying the container...nice area here with no others around or should I say except two lost geocachers ??signed the clean log {FtF} and replaced as found..I am not sure this hide will stand the test of time..thanks for the hide Ninjahape ..this is a lovely area???? worthy of a cache
We were passing close by when this was published, so we detoured here to find it. After checking two trees we looked at a third, and there ut was. Great to see a blank {FTF} log. Thanks for the placement
Coordinates are a bit off after 2 trees climbed, looked at another close by.Found it in the end lol.
