Was at gz without doubt and had a good search around without raising suspicion thanks to the local wildlife. Maybe given prev dnfs it has been muggled?
Moving the cache to another rock, away from the jetty might reduce the chance of the cache being muggled
Caching solo. Fifth cache of the day. Sneaky hide. I like this type of container, and I haven't seen it used in quite the same way. Nice location. TFTC
Mmm... a dose of Parsley, quite sparsely, with a side of grinnitch spinach. Such a scenic spot just before sunset. TFTC MicrosoftOffice
Heehee nice cache. Had me bending over more then required in the beginning. Tftc
Found while walking Bondi to Manly with my geohiking buddies. Awesome little spot and what a cracker of an in plain sight cache. TFTC TNLNSL
Despite the potential rain, I decided to take the drive to Parsley Bay. It's a lovely spot, even on a cloudy day. At least it keeps most muggles away.Once at the correct level, I spotted the cache. Not hidden out of sight at all. There were a couple of fisher muggles sitting right by GZ, but I quickly grabbed the cache and moved away to do the deeds. Like BFJ and JS, the only names on the log sheet were there's and now mine. Do we have a phantom logger as the FTFer? I reckon BFJ can claim it.Anyway, cache signed, and I brought along a much smaller plastic zip bag for the log. Replaced it, so now it sits tight, then on my way before the rain sets in. TFTC
Oops! Senior's moment! I forgot it's a new month. That should be 1/5/2024 on the log sheet. Maybe the next finder can fix it for me.
Woo Hoo! My Geocaching challenge for 2024 is now complete. I aimed to complete the 360 circle from home. There were just a few remaining sectors to fill at the beginning of the year and most were completed some time ago but this one was the hardest. Because of where I live with such a short distance to the coast there was nothing between home and America, so when this cache popped up I was delighted as it fell in that sector. It was published while I was away so I was hoping it would not be muggled before I could get there.Today despite the rain I drove to Parsley Bay and walked around to GZ. There was not a soul to be seen! The cache was obvious, SL and replaced it. That was quite difficult as the zip lock bag is way too big to fit in the camo so the cache does not sit flush with it's surroundings making it easily seen by muggles. So I hope the cache remains in play and does not disappear.TFTC # 5977
I was looking for something outdoors to do where I could enjoy the warm sunshine ahead of the big wet over the next couple of weeks, and settled on a train trip to Sydney and the ferry across to Watsons Bay to do the South Head Coastal Wander AL then head down the hill to this cache. At GZ there were lots of muggles also soaking up the last of the sunshine and it took me a fair while before I finally spotted the cache. Fortunately I was able to reach in and open it without being too noticeable, taking the log over to the nearby seat to do the signing. I was surprised to see no other signatures in the log, in spite of it having been logged online as found yesterday. Invisible ink?I had to wait a bit longer before I got a clear shot at putting it back so I set up to take some photos. The sun wasn't quite setting but the view west was still quite nice. Many thanks for the nice hide here and for giving me an enjoyable end to the sunshine.
