Out on the Trail today in the beautiful country area of Woodford, were having a lot of fun collecting some of the geocaches along the way. Not time for all of them today and this one took quite awhile. We could not spot it from the ground so Mrs. Domsky went up, came back down and we fetched TOTT, so that we could view from another angle. Then back into the Tree again. Thanks captainmonkey96. A FP added Domsky
After a very enjoyable, but exhausting , nine days of GCLogan events, I had 2 full days left before flying back to NZ. To maximise the value of these 2 days, a plan was hatched with GG1 and M65 to target some special caches on the Northside that would help me with possibly two further D/T loop completions. Their help was invaluable, with local knowledge ensuring the best route was taken to fit in as many high quality caches as possible today. A little glitch with my phone and daylight saving meant we actually started the day extra early, which may have been a good thing, as we didn't stop till 8:30 pm.Couldn't spot this one today, so without a target to aim for, I decided not to attempt any climbing. Thx anyway.
After an early morning event at Elimbah I headed to Woodford with Selva Girls and Curious Quest. After fuelling up at the bakery we headed out and found an assortment of different types of caches and this was one of them. All caches were found easily enough and once the log was signed all were returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC captainmonkey96
After the event at Elimbah we headed off to Woodford with Selva Girls and Konie. After some food we headed off to find some caches and this was one of them. We signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, captainmonkey96
Caching in company with TrekingTrev, doing a few more after the May Day weekend. We couldn't see where to even start to climb.....Another day.......
Its magic round in Brisbane but the games dont start until the afternoon so we have to fill in time until then. We headed up to Woodford with Peppa and Beardman75 to tackle the new caches on offer. We spread out to search around and JDavs spotted the cache first. Beardman did the climb then we checked out the impressive passionfruit vine in flower. Thanks captainmonkey96Find #6019
Davinells has a listThat list includes 27 games of sportsball, a CITO and one or two caches over the weekend Teaming up with Beardman75 we targeted the new caches in and around WoodfordSigning the logs BPD, which co-incidentally also stands for Bi Polar Disorder, we made good time and managed to find everything on the listAgain we the geotrails let me down, as I was on the wrong side of the tree when there it is was called by JDavs The TOTT was set up and Beardman75s made the ascentAfter some discussion, and the allocating of BPD common traits, I was left with narcissism, which considering my importance in the group as travel princess, might be considered aptThanks captainmonkey96
Spending the day caching around Woodford with Davinells and Peppa. Thanks for the cache captainmonkey96
The coordinates were obtained for this cache and when we arrived it was a bit of 2 types of retrieval to spot this cache. Signed the log and returned to where found. Thanks captainmonkey96. All good with this cache and puzzle.
Continued up the road to the cache and this one was certainly a team effort to retrieve and replace using a different type ofTOTT. TFTC captainmonkey96
Teamed up with Chamad and Davidwazza for a busy day chasing new caches post breakfast event in Woodford. Thanks to the Placement Team we had a long list of brand new caches plus solved coordinates to speed things up. I never would have located all these without Davids tree climbing and Chamads 4WD skills my contribution being largely the addition of an extra pair of eyes and the provision of fortifying donuts! A really fun day out.We had a bit of a debate here about the ocean and if it was visible
Muggle65, Brislions and l piled into the car to see how we would go with the new Woodford caches. Turned out to be a great day with no DNFs. Thank you for the fun ??
I headed to Woodford with GreenGecko1 and Muggle65. With all the caches out there was one cache I needed for one D/T spot. We had lots of fun today with no DNFs. some were very hard to find.captainmonkey96 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
Headed towards Woodford today to attempt collecting a couple of recently released caches. By all reports we weren't expected to do well. But we managed to find this one, sneaky micro to spot.
Out for a breakfast event and a dinner event in Woodford with TBU1BIKESU and friends to find some caches. Tftc May Day in the Moreton Bay Placement Team Joint *FTF* Uwe with Susan
After bumping into [TBU1Bikesu](https://coord.info/PRDWW2K) and [TBU2Uwe001](https://coord.info/PREMTHN) on the previous geocache, it then became a convoy, and together with [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) and [tuppens](https://coord.info/PRGYCFZ), our group of five visited the majority of the *May Day* series together. This was a really tough location, and upon our arrival, we were second-guessing our coordinates. Nevertheless, we pushed our way past the vegetation, and glanced upwards at the awkward tree covered with very dark spiky ivy. With still no sign of the cache, we had a brief discussion and then I ascended upwards, hoping the better vantage point would soon spot the prize. This strategy turned into success, as I then spotted the tiny blight. This was one very tough cache to spot and scene to! After I reached the cache, I realised that the logbook was saturated and I couldnt extract it, so I dropped the container to the ground crew to have them help. In the end, the virgin logbook didn't survive, and we replaced it with a new logbook. I attempted to spot the ocean from my vantage point, but perhaps the grey rainy clouds obscured my vision today. Thanks May Day in the Moreton Bay Placement Team aka [captainmonkey96](https://coord.info/PR1AY17D) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today's activities consisted of the planned Woodford May Day activities. After running Parkrun Glass House Mountains Conservation parkrun, I arrived in time for the [May Day in Moreton Bay - Breakfast](https://coord.info/GCAP7F3) event, and then joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) and [tuppens](https://coord.info/PRGYCFZ) exploring the area. Once we had finished with the newly placed/published geocaches, I utilised my remaining time in Woodford to head north and visited Stanmore, the fringes of Bellthorpe National Park, and then travelled part-way east towards Peachester, before turning around in time for the Woodford [May Day Event Dinner](https://coord.info/GCAP2PE) event.
After attending the breakfast event this morning, I scored 4 FTFs. Thank you. An adventurous day of tree climbs, tree fishing and hidden caches.Caching with RoddyC and imbunda.TFTCache May Day in the Moreton Bay Placement Team
Out caching for some new caches after a May Day in Moreton Breakfast Event.man varied placements found today. Thanks for the effort you have put in.Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 4, 2024. TFTC, May Day in the Moreton Bay Placement Team.
Today I was lucky to get out to Woodford and join in with the small number of cachers who also attended the New Woodford Event. For me the event day started with a nice drive out with Tuppens. We got there a little early and decided to grab a couple of local caches before everyone else arrived. As the people started to arrive we sat around and had some nice chats before we were treated to some nice bacon, sausages and eggs, along with a glass of juice to wash it all down with, awesome. The drizzling rain was a little annoying but it was not going to stop us today. Then the phones started to ding and vibrate, the new caches were published. I teamed up with tuppens and davidwazza and we sat and worked through our list, a couple of FTF's each and a bunch of solved puzzles and then we were off. All in all we had a good bunch of laughs and some fun caches. While there were times spent at some caches trying to find it because of a cloudy and the glare background, it did not stop us today. Thanks for the event and the caches we signed the logs and replaced caches as we found them. This one was a nice easy climb for us today even in the wet. This took us a little while to spot.
Joint *FTF* with TBU2Uwe001 on 4.5.24A lot of tree climbs and fishing this morning - mostly hard to spot the caches in the cloud-sun mix and drizzle. We signed the log.Tftc May Day in Moreton Bay Placement Team
Good spotting by CDAH55. That's a little one. Signed Log. Saw some passion fruit and lots of lantana nearby.
Found with Dora the Explorer and Selva Girls. We checked out the cache and whilst it may be retrieved by free climbing however we had appropriate TOTT which reduced the risk level. The three of us were involved with this cache.TFTC
