This one has been my nemesis for quite some time. Being so close to home Ive called past a few times now. Im not in full caching swing at the moment, but its nice to at least get the ones near me. Well, I was approaching this one entirely the wrong way and as a result, I never saw it. Tried a different angle today and got what I was looking for. TFTC!

3 sisters out for a chat. 4 hours later still chatting. I noticed there was a cache 220 metres away so I suggested we stretch our legs & find the nearby cache. Quick find & back to the cafe for a light snack. Tftc

SideTracked find 329Good spot with close access from the station. Although I am driving today, I have found many city SideTracked caches by train. Very convenient by train. I have noticed that many of the caches are placed more for the convenience of car drivers than train users. Yours was placed near the station and is convenient for train users. My GPS was 5m out. No need to go in a garden. Cache and log are good. TFTC James0116.

Find number 13623 at 7:38:39AM on Tuesday the 20 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Today we're touring around Adelaide visiting different tourist locations and grabbing the odd geocache along the way.Up early and ducked out to grab this and another. After not finding this yesterday I went for a bigger wander of the area just to make sure there wasn't something obvious I was missing but ended up back where I was yesterday anyway. I read a couple of the older logs and scratched around a bit more and sure enough, there it was poking it's head out of the leaf litter. An easy enough find it you look properly, DOH!**Thanks for placing this cache James0116 the Train Conductor**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Heading back home after dropping off the van for a service, and had to drive by this location on the way. Parked a couple of streets away as the carpark was full, and wandered over to the area of GZ. Thankfully there were no muggles around and as I approached, I spotted the cache, but had to swap sides of the fence to reach the cache. Extracted and signed the log and then replaced as found. Back to the car and heading home. Maybe via another cache or two.Gratias pro cache James0116

After attending a nearby event, Otter61, LB and I decided to take an evening stroll to find this cache. It was spotted quickly, signed, replaced and then we were side tracked! We were going to head back to our chariots, but I spotted a solved mystery on my map that we had all solved at Doctor Owls puzzle night last year. Under the tracks we continued on our stroll.TFTC James0116Keep smiling

A rather dismal day, weather wise, but not too bad really. Wanted to go over to the far side of town to pick up some music so of course some caching was going to be done afterwards. There were six found while in the immediate area, then two more on the longer way home of which this was the first. After looking here, there and not quite everywhere made the find. But had obviously taken too long as I'd had to explain geocaching to a railway guard, don't think he'll be joining us but may help future unsuccessful searchers. Thanks to James0116 the Train Conductor for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15057.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

Third visit is the charm. No idea where the black bison cache container was hiding the last two times I visited. At least I did not need to park illegally today. My grandfather Carl worked as the Mitcham station gardener for thirty years. His job was keeping the flowers blooming all year. He would not be impressed with the current state of the gardens.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Friday the twelfth of July in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and almost raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. I was coming from lunch with my Nana in the city and meeting Mum at Mitcham Shops after. I'm often using public transport. Saves on fuel and reduces carbon emissions. So, it was a good time for this cache to be published!I got off the train and waited for the masses of students with bikes to get on the train. When they had left, I searched and the cache was quickly located.Second name in the log book. Thanks James0116 for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4159 on the 4th of July 2024.

I was sitting at home, contemplating what to have for dinner, when I got the email notification for the publication of this cache. Despite the extremely cold nature of the evening, I could not resist leaving the warmth of my house in search of a First to Find [FTF]. I parked near ground zero just as two trains were pulling into the station; thankfully though, very few muggles alighted from the train so I soon had an empty and quiet ground zero in which to search. I methodically searched the areas around ground zero and, despite the pressing darkness, I spied the cache after a few minutes of searching. The cache was opened and the log unfurled to reveal its blank, unsigned, pages. I quickly stamped the log, and replaced the cache, before heading back to my car and them home.Find #10502, at 06:46 pmTFTC Smile
