Found by caughtatwork on 29/10/2024 at 11:23:00 AMA quick find after talking a walk up the trail. More steps than I would have liked, but not too challenging after all.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
What a fantastic find. We were surprised at how unobtrusive this was. Interesting to see the aqueduct still here also. Thank you for bringing us here with this cache placement. A favourite for us.
Headed to Bacchus Marsh for the event, via a few caches, and this was the first. Parked at option 1 and took the walk down the trail and then up the stairs. Was pleased to see the hand rail on the second section as that made the old body a bit happier. Cache was found without issue and the log was soon signed. The back the stairs and off to the car. Thanks for the cache and the spot of local history Crack'n'LeeLee....
A lovely day to head out west to find a cache or three, whilst attending an event or two. Bit of a walk to gz, not sure what to expect. How on earth did you find this little gem, tucked away here? Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Crack'n'LeeLee ~~
Had this on the radar for sometime. Went the easier top way in as I wasn't tackling those stairs. Thanks for highlighting this lovely area and great view.
We enjoyed this great little walk.A nice surprise.TFTC a nice quick and easy findThanks also for the historical notes.
Stopped here for a walk on our way to Melbourne. We used to walk here all the time, but had never climbed those steps! TFTC
Found with Crank1 after the CITO event. Crack'n'LeeLee, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
We finished at the nearby tree planting CITO and warming soup reviver, so rather than just head home we headed along the Werribee River to make this find. Of course we first attempted the hard route in, but thinking better of it we walked a bit further along and found the stairs. Doh!An interesting contraption and JonnyGoldcoast was very interested in its operation. Me? I was like just find it! Which he did promptly. Thanks cracknleelee for this placement and an all round rewarding day out. Cache on ??
A nice leg stretch after the planting CITO below.Henjitsu found this one in the first place she looked. Not the only water wheel visited today.Thank you for placing this cache and highlighting the feature.
Went for a walk up the hill to get this one after the CITO. Nice quick find exactly where I thought. Thanks for the cache in this interesting spot.
After CITO, Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache Crack'n'LeeLee.
11:43With a bunch of new greenery planted in the holes we'd chipped out of the clay along the river pathway, and bellies full of freshly baked bread and warm, hearty soup for our labour, n0w0rries and I joined Henjitsu on a short walk upriver and uphill to this new cache, where Henjitsu got her hands quickly on the container, exactly where we speculated it would be as we approached.Love it when that happens. Thanks, Crack'n'LeeLee.Picking up my seedlings to be planted at home, all that remained was the stroll back to the car, via a cache or two that I'd already found, but n0w0rries had not.All up, a couple of klicks of exercise to add to the workout swinging a pick.#8970
Once again this brought back memories of Bacchus. Another area where we walked and rode our bikes regularly. No problems here thanks Crack'n'LeeLee
Found by Mary and David at 12:35. We set off from Parking Option 1 and passed by the site of a previous CITO planting. Unfortunately, the position of the steps on our map was around 50m too soon, and we retraced our steps and drove to Parking Option 2 - much better. A quick find once we reached GZ, and we also saw the true position of the stairs, almost in line with GZ. So near yet so far. An interesting place and history, which all earned a FP. Our thanks to Crack'n'LeeLee.
Joint *FTF* with Tenkae, always nice to grab one close to home. The story behind the water race is amazing and great to find this remnant! Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for placing this close to home for me, lol, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
We were out messing around in the garden when a new cache notification popped up, and this one seemed close enough to make a run for it. After wasting 10 minutes looking for a pair of socks, I gave up and threw on the caching ugg boots instead as Deaside and headed off. Traffic played nice, and we opted to park at none of the suggested WPs, but it was still only a short stroll enjoying the views before the stairs led us to our goal. What an interesting piece of infrastructure. It seems strange that the council hasn't highlighted the historical aspects here with information on why it's here. Thankfully, geocaching has saved the day, and we can read all about it.Cache was safely tucked away with a blank log still beckoning adventurers to add their names. Joint **FTF** with Deanside. Tftc
