After a great day yesterday riding from Linville to find the final of the UP the BVRT multi i had a great night sleep staying in Yarraman. I left my husband this morning to ride from Yarraman to Blackbutt finding 8 caches along the way ,20kms in just over 2 hours. There were lots of cows on the trail today and i had to slow down to not scare them too much. Had a great ride and I ended up meeting my husband at Blackbutt for breakfast. What a great day to be a geocacher.I ended up finding out that the scare tape on the top of my helmet really does work a wonder. A couple of magpies started to swoop but quickly flew back to their tree. This cache i had met up with my husband after gathering the information i needed to calculate the final and then we went to a nearby cafe for breakfast. I did the calculations there and after some very nice pancakes we headed off to GZ where i spotted the hide quickly. Gently removed and opened and some nice swaps. Took some stickers my grandson will love ( trucks) and put in some stickers and little blocks. Thaks Ms Maddy for all the fun
This is our fourth visit to Kingaroy and each time we have stopped in at the cafe at BlackButt. Its not by design, it just happens to be across the road from a public toilet that ticks Mrs Woodyrothwells public toilet criteria.Strangely toilet seats are not part of something that turns my wife on or off. She is happy to sit on a freezing cold metal bowel although I very much doubt her bum is making direct contact with metal. It wouldnt surprise me if she just hovers over the seat like she is levitating. The things that are critical are soap and a way to dry your hands. Washing is one thing, but if you have to dry your hands on your pants, no one can tell if you have done that or pissed yourself. tftc
Good one thanks for arranging this letter box cache Ms Maddie. Fav point alloc

Were on our way to Charleville to attend a footy tournament for our 11 year old. Who knows why they picked Charleville but hey, weve never been there before which benefits us as theres plenty of caches to grab.We decided to grab this one on way through due to it being a non traditional in the LGA which goes towards a challenge cache were slowing chipping away at. We had no issue grabbing the required numbers but Im sure we got a few odd looks for muggles purchasing their meat and seafood. We calculated GZ which placed us a short distance away and off we went. We arrived soon after and quickly spotted the obvious hiding place and sure enough, there she was, very cute.We popped our names on the log and removed the TB.Thanks for bringing us here.#4431 - TFTC
I was driving to Murgon to visit my grandmother and decided to leave early to get some caches along the way. I need more letterbox caches for a challenge so this one was a target along the way. Easy find and cute cache. FP awarded.
Staying with family in Blackbutt so just had to do one while we were here. Nice cache. Took a pathtag and left a pathtag. TFTC.
Camped up a the nearby free camp. A great spot with walking both ways. Free hot showers too. Found the light pole , did the math. A lovely little park. Mind the spider on the cache Thanks for bringing us here.
Such a cool hide here. We solved the puzzle a while ago when we were in the area but didnt have time to find. Happy to turn this into a smiley today. A fav for the container and creative hide. TFTC!
Doing a few km on the BVRT and camping out along the way. Looped out to Blackbutt from Linville today, and then looping Toogoolawah tomorrow. The ride group agreed to wait, (means more coffee and cakes I suspect) while I quickly went in search of this cache. I found the cache lying out beside the nearby object still closed and intact. I suspect an animal had raked it out rather than any muggle intervention. Place back in beside the object and concealed with more cover. Hopefully safe and sound.
On a leisurely drive up the Brisbane Valley to the South Burnett area, with the plan to finding the odd cache or two along the way.Stopped at Benarkin for a pie, coffee and a cache. Quickly located the info required and a short drive later, parked beside GZ for a quick find. Left a RobS72 2024 Pathtag in the cache for the next finder to keep. TFTletterboxC. TNLN. SL. TBs Prado Owl ; The Great Leap Forward Geocoin ; Bee Croc ; Rawhide ; RobS72 2000 Finds GC ; Forest Hill Ear Tag ; Iceland Geocoin ; and Kiwi Bird visited.Find # 2170.
School holidays and the perfect weather for a walk. I've wanted to do a couple of older caches along the BVRT for quite awhile and today was the day. We stopped at the Blackbutt Bakery for morning tea before heading out to the trail. A quick pit stop as well and we gathered the info for this cache. After our 12km walk we returned to the bakery for a late lunch/arvo tea where I did some quick calcs and discovered the cache was along the road we would be returning home on. Straightforward find and thankfully a short walk after our big day. TFTC Ms Maddy.
Ms Maddy I found your cache TFPOB on 15/6/2024, 5:00PM. This is my find 6733 and find # 12 today. Found the information and formulated the final coordinates. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find. Well done with the camouflage. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Up this way with ARF and JACS to attend the event. Had to stop here for our bakery fix and realised not too many potholes but a letterbox! The fave!!!! Quick deduction and off to collect . Stopped on the way home to visit the museum dedicated to my cousin! Tftc
Who can drive past a letterbox? Definitely not us. Muggle65 and l grabbed what we needed and found the cache in great order. Thank you for the fun
Heading out to Nango for an event and you cant just drive but the Blackbutt bakery without stopping for a little treat. With the treats acquired it was off to the park to sit in the sun for a bit and warm up. As we sat we mulled over the maths for this letterbox, then with the rubbish disposed off and our Knight in Shining Armour finished helping the damsel in distress we headed out for the final. Oh my! What absolute adorability is this! A FP for the unexpectedness of the delight.
Got stopped at the immigration office for some baked goods and so I was told by the others, some very watered down coffee. After getting the all clear from the immigration officials, took a very enjoyable white choc muffin to the park bench for dissection. Sitting very close to this waypoint, grabbed the relevant info then had an extended meeting to work through the detail. With the baked goods consumed and the coffee coloured water swooshing around the S bend, went to search for Ms Maddy's potholes. Didn't come across any 'grand canyon' size ones on the way to GZ but there were a few largish ones filled with water and the odd bike tire sticking out. Could only assume some bicycle riders are lining the bottom of the hole. Not sure how many bike riders it takes to fill a hole and didn't have time to wait and see this experiment out so grabbed the final instead. Thanks for the local distraction Ms Maddy.
Heading home after an event at Nanango and heading through Blackbutt we were happy to find a letterbox to find.
Stopped to use the amenities and noticed this one on the map.Co-ordinates quickly worked out, off we went and prize soon stamped. All Good.. TFTC..
Out and about to find a few new caches up this way today ... and do a little maintenance along the way as well. With few people around the posted co-ords I gathered the information necessary to calculate the final co-ords. Then it was off to GZ, where I made a quick find. I dropped in a pathtag. The container is worth a fav point. Thanks for the cache.
