After thanking Riddell for chauffeuring me from Sunbury to this next event at Malmsbury, in the Great Victorian Cache Crawl, it was great to enjoy a hot asparagus and Parmesan quiche from this very busy bakery, and purchase a tasty custard tart for later, before transferring my luggage into icybeetas car to continue the journey. Thanks CeeJayDenno for hosting this event in the well chosen destination for this leg of the journey.
I arrived at Malmsbury Bakery and bought a delicious Lamington cake. The weather was awful and rainy, but we managed with a smile.??
Wooooaaahhhhhh that was close! Made it with 5 minutes to spare. We channelled our inner Olympian and did a 100m sprint to the finish line to make it on time before the log book was slammed shut.
This bakery now rates among our top ten across Australia! Real items of excellent quality and taste. It is now going to be a regular stop on our regular visits to Bendigo. Great to catch up with some who had joined into the Crawl for the first time, as quite a few had. Thanks for bringing us to this great bakery and beautiful town. I just wish theyd turned the rain off though.

What a lovely town this was to visit - my first time here. We enjoyed the walk around the gardens in the rain (adventure lab) - I definitely felt like a drowned rat at the en A pasty and some other bits and pieces purchased at the bakery prior to hooking up with Wozzy and Chunk to enjoy some adventure labs and caching together. My travel buddies include the gorgeous Snap Happy and the lovely TheDame. Thank you so much for hosting this event and for contributing to this fabulous Victorian Cache Crawl weekend!
A beaut weekend exploring Victoria with others on "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl". Thank you very much to all of the event hosts and to Geocaching Victoria.
A lovely bakery with a much needed caffeine top-up. Bumped into a few other cachers along the way. Thanks for organising and hosting this event, CeeJayDenno ??
The place was crowded but the Hot Chocolates wonderful. We even found a small table out the side and enjoyed our morning break. The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day 3: The Crawl from Sunbury to EchucaTwo days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]**Thanks CeeJayDenno for organizing this great event. **
Happy International Geocaching Day!It was time to start the Great Victorian Cache Crawl and with scores of geocachers already in the area it was a great atmosphere. Plenty of social opportunities, loads of caches to find and just good fun to be had! With the car packed, there was only one thing left to do - Find some caches! This was one of the many stops made along the way.The second stop for the cache crawl. What a wonderful country bakery and the staff were so friendly. The manager was so thankful for the visits.Unfortunately the awesome outdoor courtyard was out of bounds today due to the rain however it didnt hamper the gathering. Congratulations CeeJayDenno on your first event and thanks for participating in the Great Victorian Cache Crawl.-Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
We think it might have been some time since the bakery had this many people to deal with in such a short time. Food was delicious. Thanks for organising this event.
We have been here before when there was a crowd but nothing like the amount of cachers and a few scattered muggles that were here today. Great event location, thank you.
**Found with the beautiful GoodLook and The (lovely) Dame.** *On our first Great Victorian Cache Crawl weekend*. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more than a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less travelled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Power trails just aren't as much fun by yourself. The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning, the coffee shops and pubs wonderful and the company divine. Many laughs ensued as we made our way North with 50+ of our closest a-cache-aintanes Thank you CeeJayDenno for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - PThanks for the virtual CeeJayDenno. **Event** *#230***Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18908**
Found 10:25 amThis was the 1st event attended as part of the cache crawl. It was a wet morning with the rain finally clear by late afternoon. Great turn out of familiar faces who were also doing the crawl.TFTC CeeJayDenno
It was up early to attend all the events on this weekend for International Geocaching Day. A quick start in Sunbury, a parkrun, a few lab caches and trad caches and it was onto the second event here. The rain wasn't going to dampen any spirits here. The focaccia-type bread was amazing at the bakery! Thanks CeeJayDenno, and all the other COs co-ordinating these events which comprised a great weekend.*******The Great Victorian Cache Crawl, International Geocaching Day**2024 - 628km : Sunbury - Echuca - Seymour 2023 - 607km : Ararat - Healesville - Ferntree Gully2022 - 631km : Phillip Island - Queenscliff

What a weekend... Aim for this weekend was to hit my 3000th Cache and have an awesome time on the cache crawl. Left early afternoon Friday iwh the muggle wife and headed up to Macedon stopping at a few caches along the way.Checked into our hotel in Macedon and then heading across to Riddell's Creek for the pre crawl dinner. A great crowd and some tasty food then it was back for an early night.Saturday morning I woke to a lot of rain that continued throughout the day, first stop was Sunbury for the 7am meet a few caches in the town and then up the road to Malmsbury for a pie and a coffee, next was onto Bendigo for lunch and a walk around the lake. After that it was on the road again to Colbinabbin for a cup of tea and to celebrate Roaming Howies 18,000 cache. The painted Silo's are amazing... next was a drive up to Echuca to check into the hotel. After a brief rest and a walk along the river we heading to the pub for dinner, followed by a few drinks in the Gin Distillery. In the morning I headed over to NSW to grab a few ad labs before the breakfast meet and then it was back on the road again to Cussen Park in Tatura for the CITO followed by lunch. After lunch it was onto the final stop in Seymour to celebrate the mazing cache crawl and my 3000th cache on my 6th Anniversary of Geocaching. A massive thanks to every who helped organise and support the event, everyone who hid the caches and gave me pointers when I was stuck. What an awesome community we have. 793Km covered and 116 Caches found... not a bad weekend. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog Book has been signed and Returned or answers sent to cache ownerFind #2938

Find number 13589 at 9:20:13AM on Saturday the 17 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Yeah FTFEven with the drizzly cold weather, the atmosphere warm and cheerful with a huge crowd in the little cafe/bakery. It was good to catch up with everyone for a chat before we hit the road and peeled off to the west headed for St Arnaud and beyond. Have a great weekend guys!**Thanks for hosting this event cache CeeJayDenno**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*The Great Victorian Cache Crawl is coming on 17-18 August 2024, this year starting near Melbourne heading up around Echuca and back over the weekend. Arrived down from Bendigo at about 09:20 with precipitation tumbling from the sky. Thanks to Thumpa67 who interrupted her morning to pick me up.A great turnout for this the second event on the Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024. Good coffee, good food and good company on this winters day. Thanks CeeJayDenno for hostinging this event cache.
This was the first of the two Cache Crawl events that I planned to attend today. There were so many people there when I arrived, and more just kept coming. It would be a boom day for the bakery. My thanks to CeeJayDenno for organising the event.
After an early start to the day today and a good feed at Maccas we made our was to the Malmsbury bakery for the second event of The Great Victorian Cache Crawl. The lamngtons here were most excellent and I managed to get an Adventure Lab nearby. Thank you CeejayDenno for organising this event and to all the people who helped create this weekend experience.
Our second cache crawl event in the lovely township of Malmsbury. I visit Malmsbury quite often as I have friends living there. I had previously found all the caches in tow but greatly enjoyed my lamington. Also got to catch up with my local friends who popped down to the bakery. Thanks to all involved in organising.
The second event for the day was a huge success as we all descended upon the Malmsbury Bakery to sample their baked products. For me it was a meat pie and iced coffee for an early lunch. Thank you CeeJayDenno for selecting the venue and organizing the event.
Its turned into a drizzly day, so what better, than to go to the bakery for something hot to eat.
Of course Mary & David were there. We indulged in some bakery delights - A superb vanilla slice for M and a delicious lemon slice for D. Moving right along. Our thanks to CeeJayDenno.
I arrived before 10am and got a seat where I was warm and dry. This was a good start to my day, catching up with friends and meeting some new geocachers.I felt very sorry for the locals, who came in to buy their bread, and had to make their way through our group.Thank you CeeJayDenno for hosting this event.
Glad for a bit of warmth here, hoping the weather gets better during the rest of the crawl, but nice to see so many people.
17 August 2024 10:23 This is where we started our Cache Crawl, which happened to be our first crawl overall .What an awesome way to socialise with our friends, and find caches all around this beautiful State we live in.Thank you to all the organisers for an excellent job in planning and organising which culminated in a super weekend ??.
Cat' and I crawled out of bed to crawl to this event at the start of our day a long way from home. This is the first one that catnap777 and I got to and we followed the rest of the crawl via Bendigo and Colbinabbin to Echuca for dinner. We look forward to seeing you all again at our CITO in Tatura in the morning. It was a wonderful day in not so wonderful weather. Thanks for the bash CeeJayDenno, and thanks of course to the rest of the crew behind this series of events.
We had a fantastic time at last years event crawl so there was no way known that we were going to miss this one, even though only half the team made the first leg.We were quite surprised to see the amount of teams that turned up for this one and it was great to catch up with friends that we hadn't seen for quite awhile. Many stories and laughs were had and all too quickly it was time to leave and start heading towards the next one. Many thanks for the event, the bakery food wads really yummy .
The first day of The Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024 and 2 days of fun and laughs has started. After the breakfast event in Sunbury I gained a front seat passenger for the day and the dog and possum that usually occupy the front seat were not happy about the relegation to the back seat.We are heading north and we started looking for caches that jumped out on us or looked interesting in the time we had before arriving at the next event. We are hoping the rain disappears soon or hopefully its going to a quick park and fond kind of day.The second event for the day and there was still that pesky drizzle around and so we all made it to the safety of the bakery and verandah outside. The bakery was a very busy place and the sausage roll went down a treat. Now to keep heading north. Thanks CeeJayDenno TFTCCEC.
The hordes and the torrential drizzle both descended upon a bakery that somehow managed to manage the eager onslaught for baked goods. Outside we played musical chairs with verandah space.
Oh no - late again! This better not be a theme for our weekend . . . we need to sharpen up! We missed the baked good here as we'd just indulged from an amazing French bakery in Kyneton.
My plan for this weekend was attending most of the "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl" while collecting old geocaches, multicaches, and a tree climb for the adventure. Plus, whatever else caught our eyes as we passed.Of the old geocaches, it looks like we got...X2 2001X2 2002X2 2005X1 2006X3 2007Favourite caches of the weekend we were the 2001 caches. Not because they were old ones, but because the items at GC255F were completely unexpected, and the adventure at GC277B of walking over the flooded spillway and climbing the cliff in the rain was risky and therefore exciting. Overall, not huge numbers of caches found, but a great weekend adventure. Big thanks to Geocaching Victoria for organising the events and getting so many geocachers to attend. Got to this event just before the end and saw how many people were at the bakery, which made it hard to get in. Was able to sign the log book just as it was being put away, and then had a chat with a number of people. Thanks for the cache, Cee Jay Denno.Hunter
10:10Gotta say the replacement coach to Gisborne was far more comfortable than the bus to Sunbury. It also, hilariously, meant being driven right past the door of last night's pub venue. Then, at last, I was on a V-Line train, and in almost no time, had reached Malmsbury Station... where it chucked down for the next fifteen minutes while I waited to set off for the reservoir for an old puzzle I'd solved yonks ago.Needless to say, by the time I'd walked around the bend, across the dam wall and back, then into town to this event, I was a tad moist.Congratulations, CeeJayDenno, on hosting your first event. Now I've got another train to catch, so off I head, back to the station.#9107
*17/8/2024, Attended from 10:27AM, Find # 3859.*I arrived a little late for this one. Theres always that one more cache you need to stop for along the way. **Thanks to CeeJayDenno for hosting this Eventcache.**
While chook is away chunk will play. Out with wozzle and the tritons for cache crawl. Thanks to all the owners of caches that we will find, and may we make many more memory's
Great to start the day with coffee (yes we started here). Now for a full day of Cache crawl caching
This bakery make to die for chicken and salad rolls and the coffee was excellent too. Thanks for organizing.
Will try and get here after Bendigo parkrun.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
