Of course Mary & David were there. D had his usual schnitzel, and M had lamb's fry and bacon, which she doesn't cook at home. Great to meet lorigus74 and her muggle husband. We will have found 15 of her caches after today. Our thanks to lorigus74.
I had decided to join the second day of *The Great Victorian Cache Crawl*at Tatura. After a busy morning of finding 8 caches around town and picking up some rubbish at the CITO, it was time for lunch. Very impressed with the way the hotel handled the crowd. Fortunately my lunch came out fairly quickly as I had to sneak off to a wine tasting. Thanks **lorigus74** for organising this great event...
For catnap777 and I, this lunchtime event marked the end of our Great Victorian Cache Crawl. We started our day at the Malmsbury Event crawling our way back to Tat' for pizza and a chat before heading to work just a couple of blocks away. We were preparing to chase sheep of trucks while our friends were chasing caches in the park across the road. Thanks Lorigus74 for hosting this fine contribution to The Crawl and for donating the lucky door prizes. Thanks also to the staff at the Top Pub for the top feed and making us all feel so welcome. ....and thanks to all that made this years crawl the most successful yet. [^]Winning the $50 raffle capped of a perfect day for us.
The second day of The Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024 and 2 days of fun and laughs is in full swing. So after an event on Friday night then five events yesterday which included a delicious tea and with quite a few caches along the way then a bit of a sleep it was time for day two of the crawl. So after a great start to the morning with a snag or 2 then a trip up to the Barmah State Forest then some silo art thrown in it was time to head to Tatura for a CITO and the second last event for the day.The pub did a great job feeding the crowd and the burger was delicious.Well done lorigus74 for the event and for the donations of the prizes as well. Thanks lorigus74 TFTCCEC.
Having been here on a previous occasion, at an event also run by lorigus74, I was expecting some mighty fine food for lunch. I wasn't disappointed. The staff do everything they can to create a friendly environment for our get-together, and it was another chance to catch up with more of our fellow cachers. Thanks for organising this event, lorigus74, and providing so much pleasure.
The cache crawl was on and this year apart from the Friday night dinner which I couldn't make it to I will be doing the whole crawl. Today on the return trip the weather was much better and it was much more enjoyable not needing the raincoat all the time.Had a lovely chicken parma for lunch and then had to organise stuff for the next event so headed off slightly early. Thanks lorigus74 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Thankyou lorigus74 for hosting your second fantastic event at this very friendly and accommodating hotel. After the success of the Anzac Day event everyone who attended remembered what excellent food and service the hotel staff provided.I didnt order a meal though as Id had a sausage breakfast at Echuca, but dalerious and catnap777 insisted I have a piece of their most delicious pizza. It was karma later when catnap777 bought an extra ticket in the raffle so they could draw it, and she won the $50.A nice consolation prize for them as they both had to go to work and couldnt complete the cache crawl with us.Thankyou again lorigus74 for your friendship and company on the journey home.
*18/8/2024, Attended from 12:18PM, Find # 3883.*It was a beautiful day for a pit stop in this little town. Not feeling like a pub lunch today I stopped in to sign the book and have a quick chat with a few people. **Thanks to lorigus74 for hosting this Eventcache.**
This was a flying visit for us as we were keen to keep on caching. Reading all the other attendee logs, I'm now bummed we didn't pause for lunch . . . the food and hospitality sound top notch!
Good to stop here and rest abit before heading next stop. Thanks lorigus74 for host.??
JonnyGoldcoast got all excited when he saw "bangers and mash" on the menu, one of his favourite dishes. So he went ahead and ordered the sausages. I mean really. He'd just cooked 4,368 sausages for the breakfast event in Echuca (and ate a few of them too). We all laughed, but he isn't called "the sausage king" for nothing! Thanks lorigus74 for hosting and providing the fun props for the photo shoot LOL!!Cache on ??
12:21Day 2 of this year's Cache Crawl...Travelling once again with ThePacman.Well, that's another leg done, with only one more to go after everybody finishes lunch.Personally, I didn't need any, though I enjoyed a slice of tasty seafood pizza that was offered, and may have had a piece of Anzac slice and a chocolate ball. Or two, or so...Thanks, lorigus74. It was great to catch up with you for a quick chat.#9137
What a great pub. Food wonderful. Staff wonderful. Cold beer wonderful. Host wonderful. Company HMM yep wonderful. Thanks for the event, and may we do it again soon.
We attended but didnt stay long for this one. Had a few target caches in Shepparton, and with the shorter timeframe between events this afternoon, we decided to grab lunch on the go and get some caching done instead of sitting for a meal. Looked like a great venue though. Enjoyed the Photo Booth props. Thanks for hosting.
After attending the nearby CITO we headed to this lovely local pub to chat to friends and sign the log.My travel buddies across the weekend included the gorgeous Snap Happy and the lovely TheDame. We also had fun caching with other caching buddies.Thank you so much for hosting this event and for contributing to this fabulous Victorian Cache Crawl weekend!
Although we didn't stay for a meal it was nice to say hello to others whilst signing the log.A beaut weekend exploring Victoria with others on "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl". Thank you very much to all of the event hosts and to Geocaching Victoria.
Ive just noticed I didnt log this one on the day. Another great event well worth the trip. Great food, even if mine was one of the last served it was worth the wait. Thanks for all the organisation.
Top pub, top meal, top company, top event. Nuff said, The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day 4: Echuca crawling back to Seymour and then onto Kaniva. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]**Thanks lorigus74 for organizing this great event. **
It's time for the Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024!! Accommodation booked, bags packed, supplies stocked, RoamingHowies geovehicle (Tex) filled, caches selected and downloaded, all set for a weekend jam-packed with adventure, conversation, laughs, food and coffee!Time for fueling up with some much needed lunch and a bit of conversation. The selfie props were a bit of fun. Thanks for organising and hosting this event, lorigus74 ??
We arrived at this event to find that cachers had taken over the event area and were spilling out the door. Delicious snacks and a yummy lunch were had here. Thanks for the snacks and the event.
It was time to start the return journey of the Great Victorian Cache Crawl. I couldnt believe how many cachers had joined for the full trip this year and were ready to enjoy Day 2. Plenty of social opportunities, loads of caches to find and just good fun to be had! With the car packed one last time it was on the road we go. This was one of the many stops made along the way.A great spot to stop and fuel up. The meals were relatively quick and some great props to take photos thanks to the CO. The room was abuzz with activity. Thanks to lorigus74 for being part of the 2024 Great Victorian Cache Crawl.-Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
This event showed just how many people there were (I realise some have gone and we have gained others) enjoying the Cache Crawl. Must admit that I loved the nibblies, they were dellicious. Thanks for both the event and the recipe.
Found 12:22 pmThe burgar with the lot was great and very tasty. Another group and after a rather long time ahomburg's fish'n'chips meal finally turn up. I assume it was freshly caught. Only one more event now to go.TFTC lorigus74
A good meal had with good friends.Thankyou lorigus74 for arranging the lunch and the extra curricular photo opportunities
This event was fantastic! The COs made a big effort for everyone. There lots of fun photo props to play with, snacks and a raffle! It was nice to sit and rest on this big journey and have a chat with some other geocachers.Thank you for being great lunch time hosts.
**Found with the beautiful GoodLook and The (lovely) Dame.** *On our first Great Victorian Cache Crawl weekend*. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more than a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less travelled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Power trails just aren't as much fun by yourself. The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning, the coffee shops and pubs wonderful and the company divine. Many laughs ensued as we made our way South with 50+ of our closest a-cache-aintanes Thank you lorigus74 for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - PThanks for the virtual lorigus74. **Event** *#235***Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18915**
What a great way to finish a great weekend and with the best cake Ive ever tasted!!
Here on the second last event for this cache crawl - a great group of people, good food and cold drink.
A nice little pub here and a well attended event with lots of food and drinks consumed. Thanks for the event.
This cache crawl is becoming something of a marathon. I think I can I think I can
I am enjoying another great event filled with some great friends both new and old. Fun times with plenty of stories or so I am told. TFTC.
Cache 3000 WoohooWhat a weekend... Aim for this weekend was to hit my 3000th Cache and have an awesome time on the cache crawl. Left early afternoon Friday iwh the muggle wife and headed up to Macedon stopping at a few caches along the way.Checked into our hotel in Macedon and then heading across to Riddell's Creek for the pre crawl dinner. A great crowd and some tasty food then it was back for an early night.Saturday morning I woke to a lot of rain that continued throughout the day, first stop was Sunbury for the 7am meet a few caches in the town and then up the road to Malmsbury for a pie and a coffee, next was onto Bendigo for lunch and a walk around the lake. After that it was on the road again to Colbinabbin for a cup of tea and to celebrate Roaming Howies 18,000 cache. The painted Silo's are amazing... next was a drive up to Echuca to check into the hotel. After a brief rest and a walk along the river we heading to the pub for dinner, followed by a few drinks in the Gin Distillery. In the morning I headed over to NSW to grab a few ad labs before the breakfast meet and then it was back on the road again to Cussen Park in Tatura for the CITO followed by lunch. After lunch it was onto the final stop in Seymour to celebrate the mazing cache crawl and my 3000th cache on my 6th Anniversary of Geocaching. A massive thanks to every who helped organise and support the event, everyone who hid the caches and gave me pointers when I was stuck. What an awesome community we have. 793Km covered and 116 Caches found... not a bad weekend. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog Book has been signed and Returned or answers sent to cache ownerFind #3000
Cache find 3000 is this event hosted by good friend lorigus74, as part of the Great Victorian Cache Crawl. Unfortunately the eye candy of the WeAreGleesos team couldnt attend due to being at kids birthdays. Also disappointed I didnt have a chance to catch up with Zinnia94. Thanks to all the COs for all their work maintaining caches for this great pastime.
Just what the doctor ordered. A hearty meal, a good beer and some good company.PrezDough and I had a great time here and Im shocked he wanted a burger given hed eaten half the sausages at breakfast a few hours earlier. Thanks for organising this one LoriGus74, we had a ball.

Needing to head off, we just breezed through and signed the log. Tatura is a lovely town. Thanks for highlighting it and for hosting this event lorigus74.
Wonderful turnout for this event. Thanks for coming everyone. It was lovely to see you all.

Please pass on our compliments to the staff.***Thank you Lorigus74 &Co. You always put on an awesome event**
A happy and hungry bunch of geocachers enjoying some fine food and a lot of chatting. The Top Pub does a fine job of catering for a big crowd. We are only able to fit in a couple of Events on the Cache Crawl and share a couple of our new pathtags. #11,141 Thanks for hosting this Event lorigus74
A quick attendance but we made it in time. Phew ????? That was close. Thank-you organising it all.
Thanks very much for the event. Had a good day with lunch. Meet a few new people saw a few I knew. Took baby Lillian for her first event.
Thank you lorigus74 for organizing this well attended event. The staff at the hotel did a good job in handling such a great number of attendees.
After such a generous breakfast, I wasn't too hungry for lunch but it was great to chat as I had a snack. The kitchen did so well with so many of us and thanks to the CO for organising it all.
This is my first Great Victorian Cache Crawl and I have loved all of the events. Its particularly nice to meet so many new cachers along the way. Thanks to lorigus74 for holding this event and for also supplying the delicious ANZAC slice recipe
Event #8 of 9 for the weekend. We were one of the last to arrive at the Top Pub, so had to sit and wait for what felt like an hour for our lunch to arrive. Not sure the Top Pub is used to serving 80+ people at the same time. We had a nice time chatting to other geocachers while waiting though.
Another event today on The Great Victorian Cache Crawl. We had a delicious lunch at the Tatura Hotel with some delicious slices afterwards. Before going off Caching nearby and found some Adventure Lab stages and some regular caches. Thanks Lorigus74 for organising the event.
After a night in Tatura, time for today's events.Collected a few AdLabs and caches on the way around.Been to this pub before and the meal was very nice again. Thanks for organizing this event. Thanks, Robmc.
We really enjoyed this event, the beer was icy cold, the staff were fantastic and extremely comical and the food came out quickly and everyone seemed to enjoy what they had.All in all a great time was had by all.The cache owner was extremely generous with their prizes, congratulations to the winners and all too soon it was time to grab a couple of caches and head off to the next one. Many thanks for the event.
Cache #7000. Thanks for hosting the event LoriGus74. Great catching up with you both again, we always look forward to a trip to Tatura - the pub is "tops".
Enjoyed a nice lunch at the Tatura Hotel, especially the delicious slice. Nice to see lots of cachers in attendance. Thanks lorigus74 for organising.
My plan for this weekend was attending most of the "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl" while collecting old geocaches, multicaches, and a tree climb for the adventure. Plus, whatever else caught our eyes as we passed.Of the old geocaches, it looks like we got...X2 2001X2 2002X2 2005X1 2006X3 2007Favourite caches of the weekend we were the 2001 caches. Not because they were old ones, but because the items at GC255F were completely unexpected, and the adventure at GC277B of walking over the flooded spillway and climbing the cliff in the rain was risky and therefore exciting. Overall, not huge numbers of caches found, but a great weekend adventure. Big thanks to Geocaching Victoria for organising the events and getting so many geocachers to attend. Quickly signed in at this event, and rusged straight off back to our relatives who live locally for lunch. Thanks for the cache, Lorigus 74.Hunter
