Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
We stayed overnight at Riddells Creek. The motel wasnt bad, but the air conditioner didnt provide enough warmth, so we left it on all night. We enjoyed our dinner and had a lovely catch-up with everyone.
The first of the events. Great to see so many faces, all excited for the shenanigans to come. Thanks for organising and hosting this event, RoamingHowie ??
A beaut weekend exploring Victoria with others on "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl". Thank you very much to all of the event hosts and to Geocaching Victoria.
Woo hoo, time for the first event of many in a short space of time. Certainly had a great time and meal here. Swapped a few stories and got some hints on a DNF we had just had. This is my first 'crawl' but probably not my last. The 2024 Geocaching Victoria Event Crawl: Day Two - Kaniva to Sunbury. Two days of traveling over from S.A. and three days of Events, numerous Adventure Labs, lots of fun, mishaps, and even a few caches found as we crawled around in search of smilies. My companions for the Crawl were Muff1. So Good to catch up with lots of caching friends. [:X]**Thanks RoamingHowie for organizing this great event. **
**Attended by Snap Happy** Another well attended event despite the coolish weather. Thankfully the weather held off.Great to see so many new faces and catch up with familiar a-cache-aintanes Looking forward to the weekend and many thanks for organizing the event RoamingHowie. Appreciate your efforts. - PCache on!

What a weekend... Aim for this weekend was to hit my 3000th Cache and have an awesome time on the cache crawl. Left early afternoon Friday iwh the muggle wife and headed up to Macedon stopping at a few caches along the way.Checked into our hotel in Macedon and then heading across to Riddell's Creek for the pre crawl dinner. A great crowd and some tasty food then it was back for an early night.Saturday morning I woke to a lot of rain that continued throughout the day, first stop was Sunbury for the 7am meet a few caches in the town and then up the road to Malmsbury for a pie and a coffee, next was onto Bendigo for lunch and a walk around the lake. After that it was on the road again to Colbinabbin for a cup of tea and to celebrate Roaming Howies 18,000 cache. The painted Silo's are amazing... next was a drive up to Echuca to check into the hotel. After a brief rest and a walk along the river we heading to the pub for dinner, followed by a few drinks in the Gin Distillery. In the morning I headed over to NSW to grab a few ad labs before the breakfast meet and then it was back on the road again to Cussen Park in Tatura for the CITO followed by lunch. After lunch it was onto the final stop in Seymour to celebrate the mazing cache crawl and my 3000th cache on my 6th Anniversary of Geocaching. A massive thanks to every who helped organise and support the event, everyone who hid the caches and gave me pointers when I was stuck. What an awesome community we have. 793Km covered and 116 Caches found... not a bad weekend. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog Book has been signed and Returned or answers sent to cache ownerFind #2925

Of course Mary & David were there. A wonderful Event! M had roast pork, and D had a schnitzel. We followed up with slice of lemon meringue pie with cream each. The first Crawl Event for this year, and so many visitors from SA came along. Our thanks to RoamingHowie.
I completed the local Ad/ Lab which finished at the station opposite the hotel so I went in to get an early start on my meal. A great event with much chatter about geocaching and other things. A nice meal of fish was my choice. Thank you RoaminHowie for organising such a great event.
Thanks RoamingHowie for organising The Great Victoria Cache Crawl - The Prequel we had a great time. The Salmon was excellent and so was the company.
I missed the 2023 Cache Crawl as I was away interstate but this year I made sure that I was in town to be able to do the this years cache crawl.A great idea to have it over 2 days so there will be plenty of time to catch up with friends.A great turn out at the Riddells Creek Hotel and the Parma was delicious.Plenty of catching up and chats with fellow cachers and I will see you all at breakfast tomorrow morning to start the next day of the cache crawl o Echuca. Thanks Roaming Howie TFTPEC.
Came down from Bendigo for the Prequel. Was able to catch up with a number of people that I hadn't seen for a while. Great concept for the weekend, this was a convenient venue. Thanks RoamingHowie for placing this event cache, enhancing the game board, and adding to our enjoyment.
Great night to be able to catch up with some faces that I haven't seem for some time and meet others that were new to me. Thank you for organising this event.

So pleased that this years crawl is over two days and great to have this even to get us ready for what is to come. Looking forward to seeing all the events this well attended. Thanks for organising this for all to attend.
Its not unusual to arrive 30mins before a geocaching event begins to find a crowd of people already gathered and meals flowing. Tonight was no exception, but with the volume of people tonight it was definitely welcomed by the kitchen. It was a great gathering and the excitement for the weekends crawl is building. Lots of people are staying nearby and enjoyed good meals (with excellent service). A great thing for regional town communities! There was even plenty of caches to find in town thanks to Riddells recent caching explosion. If this is a sign of whats ahead I think the weekend will be a hit!-Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
It was great to see so many familiar faces at this first event for the Great Victoria Cache Crawl. I'm looking forward to lots of fun caching over the weekend
18:36Not quite the route I expected to take here, but surefoot24 needed a lift from the comfortable rock she'd found at a cache in Melton, and who am I to leave a friend stranded?A good crowd greeted us as we walked into the pub, and I managed to catch up with a bunch of people while enjoying a well earned lemon, line and bitters. Thanks, RoamingHowie. See you for the main events tomorrow.#9101
Kick starting a great weekend off with a great meal and company. Always nice to catch up!
We headed up to Riddells Creek on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the 2024 Cache Crawl. We decided to stay at Treetops in Riddells Creek to fully enjoy the prequel dinner and be ready for a 7am start in Sunbury the next morning. We met caching friends new and old and had a great night talking all things caching, and playing with TheKellyGangs gadget caches.Such a fun night. While chook is away chunk will play. Out with wozzle and the tritons for cache crawl. Thanks to all the owners of caches that we will find, and may we make many more memory's
Ah, the fun begins! As all the usual suspects and yet to be usual suspects (we know they'll be back) shuffle in, the noise edges higher. The laughs, the conspiracies, we're up for it again.
Having settled in to our campsites at Treetops Scout Camp, Bemused Keith and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the pub, enjoying the company of fellow geocachers. Thanks for all the work you do to make our hobby such a success, RoamingHowie.
Thanks for huge organisation Roaming Howie. Had a fab meal and met some new cachers. Thanks to Riddells for the stay and new caches. It was lovely to explore their backyard.
Thank you Roaming Howie for hosting this wonderful event. We began the night by doing a lot of the new caches that Riddell had recently placed. Thanks also to weirdobiker, my wonderful chauffeur who collected me from the Seymour train station and brought me here.I am so looking forward to fully completing my third cache crawl, and this is an awesome way for it to begin. The hotel kitchen staff were most helpful in preparing a dish for me that was very tasty.Loved the vibe in the room, the chatter of excited cachers was marvellous, all eagerly anticipating what tomorrow may bring.

What a great start to what is expected to be a wonderful weekend. Thanks Andrew for hosting this event!
Booking has been increased to the maximum the venue would allow at 55 (which leaves us with 2 seats spare currently).Everyone is welcome to attend, however those logging a will attend after this point may have to make a separate table booking directly with the location to ensure you have a seat.
Im expecting to be here. However I am studying on a course and unsure of finish times on this day.Tentatively @2@.
**The Prequel**Wow - It is going to be a great evening. The dinner booking has already been increased from 30 people to 45 people and now we have filled the increased booking! Everyone who has logged their will attend so far has secured a spot at the table for dinner! For those early arrivers, the table is booked from 6:30pm so you can get in early if you are in the area already (and it will help the kitchen spread out the meals). I had dinner at the hotel last weekend and the meals were great and the staff super friendly. Additional will attends are welcome, however it will be up to the hotel whether they can fit more people at our tables, otherwise there is always the public bar. The earlier you log your will attend the better the chance.**Accommodation**I also stayed out in the nearby cabins at Treetops Scout Camp which is a great spot to park up for the night ahead of the crawl beginning. There is endless camping as well as 2 cabins that were still free for the Friday night the last time I checked (3 bedrooms each cabin). You can make a booking by contacting Vivian on 0484 097 947 or by email at [email protected] weeks to go - See you then.
Geez, I 'spose we could mozie on down 'ta see yaz awl an' join in the shenanigans.Heck of a long way but. @2@
I havent spoken to the boss (Hera) yet about adding the Friday night to our weekend adventure, but I cant see her turning down an extra night of caching and fun. So Im going to RSVP @2@ for myself and Hera (Zeus, Hera & kids) for this one but will amend if anything changes.
Not sure at this stage if I can make this one logistically, but Ill put in a will attend and work on a strategy. @1@
Looks to be a great event. Id love to see Riddell in his home habitat. Will he still be wearing shorts? @2@
