Logs

I've stopped near this cache several times over the past five months but each time the playground was in use. Most recently was a few weeks back after doing another cache in the area, when just as I stepped from the car, a muggle family dashed out of the side street and made a bee-line for the park. But this time, after completing the new Forries multi, my luck held out and the park was empty. With the aid of satellite and Street View images, I'd figured out beforehand the likely place to search and, sure enough, soon had the cache in hand. After signing the log, it took what seemed an age to roll the nano log back up and stow it away, all the while with one eye on the gate and expecting a horde of muggles and their kiddies to arrive at any moment. Thankfully they didn't and I was able to escape without having to explain what I was doing.Anyway, I'm glad to have been able to finally tick this one off. Thanks for the hide.

Actually it's the ArchibAld prize but I guess that doesn't make much difference to finding the cache.I was returning from The Entrance to Sydney after a birthday celebration this morning and decided to take the "old way" along the Pacific Highway so I could find some caches. This was my 4th and final stop.I walked straight up to GZ and examined it carefully. OK that wasn't GZ as nothing was there so I expanded my search. With nothing to be found I sat and read some logs. Seems lots of cachers have had the same experience! So I returned to my first GZ idea and examined it more closely. This time I spotted the cache.I took the cache away to sign the log. Wouldn't you know it, a muggle and smaller muggle came into the park. OK how was I going to return that without looking very suspicious??Watching the muggle carefully and moving swiftly I was able to get everything back in place before either of them turned around.TFTC # 6140

But the park is Archibold park so even though the competition is Archibald because of the name of the park we called it Archibold

Almost DNF'd but re-checked a spot Mum had already looked and there it was! Went early in the morning so luckily there was no one around.

Had a little look for this one a few days ago when I was here with my kids, but there were several other families nearby making it tricky to search thoroughly. Came back today when the park was deserted and found the sneaky lil cache right where I thought it could be. Thank you!

Quick stop off here, and I looked in what turned out to be the right place, but didn't spot anything. My GPS didn't like the tree cover and was jumping around a bit, so we widened the search area with no luck. Then MrsCowell23 went back to the beginning and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC! We had the place to ourselves, and I couldn't resist a go on the flying fox before I left.

The whole area was free of visitors, although a playgroup arrived after I had logged the cache. I then had to collect MrsFish, who was trying to record frogs calling, this is a very wet area around the playground. Thanks for the hide.

While on this side of the continent visiting the friendly neighbourhood ogre, I was keen to collect up a few smiles, and the fine day today seemed like a great opportunity to do so. This was one Shrek had yet to retrieve, so we headed to GZ together. Thankfully no children playing so we were clear to do our thing, which didn't take longsr than a nanosecond. Thanks for the hide cjannaway

A straightforward find here in a place that as a 70 year old male, I wouldn't normally loiter. Today, though, the park was bare so it wasn't a problem to stop off and make a visit.Found while out for a drive with FreeRangeKelly, who's visiting me for a few days enroute to the Gold Coast for a conference. She found quite a few that had been placed since she left the region ... this was my only find for the day! Thanks for placing this cache cjannaway.

I stopped by here on my way to The Entrance this morning but there was a woman with a young child using the playground. So I continued on, stopping by again on the way home but there was another woman and child using it. As a single somewhat elderly male, it'd be a bad idea for me to be searching while there are children playing here.

Love going to see the Archibald art exhibitions with the geowifey as she is the artist. I just stand behind and follow.Today, I was on the front foot and without seeing a wall for this artwork, thus took its time to reveal itself. Finally after exhausting four objects beforehand, a good 15mins and CIH, should of checked here sooner but eventually had it, thanks cjannaway for the challenge
