Stopped here before lunch and was suffering from cache blindness, so we went back to the van for some R&R. On our way return it didnt take long to see the little blighter. Another good hide, thanks martini.989
Well as we decided to do a night walk than worked out I still needed. To find a cache for this day we walked into the dark to recover this cache. What a great hide.
Today was another exhilarating Saturday, and I kicked it off with my favorite Parkrun! The weather was perfect for a morning runsunny but not too hot, with a gentle breeze. I arrived at the park early to scout the area for geocaches while warming up.After a quick stretch, the run began. It was great to see familiar faces, all of us eager to tackle the course. I enjoyed the camaraderie and the encouragement from fellow runners, especially during the challenging bits.Once I crossed the finish line, I felt accomplished and ready for some geocaching! I pulled up my geocaching app and discovered a few nearby caches. The first one was cleverly hidden behind a tree near the finish line. It took a bit of searching, but I finally spotted it nestled among the roots!Next, I headed towards the parks pond, where I found another cache hidden under a pile of rocks. It was a great spot to take a breather and enjoy the scenery while logging my find. After a couple more caches and some chat with other Parkrun participants, I wrapped up my morning with a well-deserved coffee at a nearby caf. The combination of running, caching, and community made for a fantastic Saturday.Looking forward to more adventures next week!Come visit SA's longest running annual event -keep the Long weekend free- June 2025 Can't wait!!2628
I was volunteering for parkrun so while I was waiting for everyone to come back, I went and found a cache.
Away for a few days on Eyre Peninsula to try and get some more caches.Lot's of driving between the caches this time.Luckily I left when I did, as the next night there was a big storm and large hail. That wouldn't have been fun in the swag. This one took 2 visits. On the second visit I changed my thinking and the cache was quickly spotted.TFTC
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. After 3 months on the geotrail, we're heading west towards home, gathering a few more smilies as we go. We are passing through looking for caches placed since we were last here. Thanks for the cache, martini.989, a sneeky hide here. TNCU
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. After being in this beautiful State for nigh on three months it is time for us to head back home. Easy find on our way through to Ceduna. Thanks martini.989
I was volunteering at parkrun today & what else to do while I wait for the runners to return but find a cache. A sneaky hide - I had to get some assistance from the CO who was also at parkrun to make the find. TFTC!
TFTC,What a great day, out caching with Where's_Wally_Sharon and learning about the Eyre Peninsula, visited trackables.Wow, stood in the correct spot.
Well spotted by Wolly, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO Out with Wheres_Wolly_Sharon on a maintenance run for the day.Talked to a teacher who has started teaching in the town, she was geocacher some years back.
TFTC. Out caching with wazza9 & Nana Nel showing them around. Happy caching and safe travels!
Oooh, ChrisVal7 found this one after a search in all the wrong places at first. A clever hide indeed. TFTC
Im glad we decided to do this one; no running involved! A search eventually revealed something not the right appearanceTftc
Found during my lunch break today accompanied by Tweety2! I made the find quicker than I expected but I think it was by pure luck that I spotted it as fast as I did!Definitely another creative cache by Martini.989 and another favourite point from me! TFTC
After attending an event the CO was holding in town, it came up in conversation that this cache was still waiting for a second finder. So on my way back to Whyalla I stopped to try and make the find. I looked and looked and looked and I couldnt see it, thankfully the CO turned up and gave me a bit of a hint. OMG.. why hadnt I just believed in the posted coordinates TFTC martini.989Keep smiling
Well that was an unexpected adventure after work! Driving up to GZ I see a car.oh no.but then realised it was the CO waiting to time me to see how long it took to find. Turns out I managed to find it under my time limit I allow before I walk away(even though there was no way I was doing that tonight!). I may need to brush up on my searching skills before JLWE! *FTF* on my own this time!
