I ended up getting called in last night to work night shift, which meant I had the entire day, once I woke up, to go caching. Well fortunately or unfortunately, however you want too look at it, my biological clock was still in routine and so I ended up waking up at my usual time. This of course meant I had plenty of time to be able to get a bit further out of my normal routine caching radius. Well I have been wanting to get out caching around Mount Donna Buang for a while now, as I only need to find a cache hidden between 1251 - 1500 M of elevation, *which just so coincidently is the rough elevation of Mount Donna Buang*, in order to finally qualify for ['s](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=fdc60ecd-0f01-4bbe-8c8d-bc4200f1f8d5&wid=ca6ab4e6-d855-4c48-a529-13685455432f&ds=2) challenge cache, [Sea to Summit Challenge (GC6T2YZ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6T2YZ)So once I finally was able to get the sleep out of my eyes, I hopped in the gemobile and made my way out to Mount Donna Buang. Well after finding a few caches out that direction, I then made my way back to home, but on my way back I noticed I could take only a small detour and come grab this Cachemas cache!Well the snuggle muggle and I were overseas in the USA during the Cachemas season and so I missed out on all of the Cachemas festivities. So I definitely have a bit of catching up to do, and so I couldn't miss the opportunity to attempt to find this one.So near the posted coordinates, I was able to find a safe place to park the geomobile. I then quickly made the projection for GZ and was off. The weather today was surprisingly warm and with very little shade a long the rail trail, the 750 metre or so walk was actually tougher then I imagined. I was also surprised to see how busy the rail trail was today, despite how early in the day it was, there were several muggles out exercising. Either zipping past on their bikes or out for a run, either way I had to wait at GZ a bit for the coast to be clear. Luckily, for me once the coast was clear it was a nice quick search before the cache was found and the logbook signed.A big thanks goes to [alfetola](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=18703b87-bde1-4d9f-86e2-1a9946d423c5&wid=f26f1712-b12e-4606-8388-53c962e1e307&ds=2) for the fun Cachemas cache. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**Both the inner and outer cache containers were in good shape. All of the inner contents were nice and dry and the logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
After an session of Archery with Spiffy- and geofamilies we had a nice stroll to this. Muggle horses for company we made a swift find. Thanks to alfetola for the fun and the adventure.
Out and about today on the weekend enjoying the weather and the cache hunting. After an hour of shooting arrows nearby we headed to this cachemas cache since we were nearby anyway. Nice quick find and sign while the kids enjoyed patting the horses. Thanks alfetola for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Out for a ride from Mt Ev to Woori and back. Not so many caches along this part of the trail as there used to be. But here was one we'd not done before so we set out to find. Easy find... alas no pen with the geobike so got a log photo instead. TFTC... and belated Merry Cachemas!
Between muggles on foot, horseback and bike, I still somehow managed to celebrate Cachemas in the valley. Thanks for the celebration and for bringing me out here.
I was meant to be working today but my shift got cancelled .yey!!! . What to do??? Caching of course, hopefully before the rain sets in! This was one of our target caches for the day, after speaking to the CO at the Sidetracked event. After meeting a gorgeous pony at the previous cache we headed here and enjoyed the opportunity to get our steps up for the day along Santas Runway. Once at GZ the cache was a nice easy find. Thanks for the Cache Alfetola,It's a beautiful Wednesday afternoon The remnant heat of the day still lingers though I see fingers are wind occasionally remind you of the forecasted cold snap. My wife asked me to pick up some things from the supermarket on the way home, of course all things come with a cost, her cost is to lose me for half an hour while I tried to find this treasure.I paced the distance and it took me precisely to the GZ. Of course my low confidence had me searching either side. But in the end it was in the middle. Regards from VictourerPS picked up a travel bug, planning to head towards Daylesford on the weekend.
I had planned to grab this one yesterday, but it was too late, dark and I was pretty exhausted after a long day of geo-hiking around the Warramate Hills Reserve. So, today I'm back. After collecting the caches after work on the other side of the trail it was already pitch black by the time I arrived at GZ to make the quick find by headtorch. Dropped off a TB.
{FTF} with Omegaman, could not believe this was still unfound this morning so we headed over to claim the find. Thanks for the cache.
