#6113Happy Winter Solstice (although it is officially tomorrow).A great attendance at a wonderful location. I even got to know some new cachers. Nice to meet you MeAndDe and SurdiVisio. Also nice to catch up with some cachers I haven't seen in a while. It was pleasing to see the sundial was showing accurate time. ??Thanks for coming everyone and glad you enjoyed the Kit-Kats. ??

A surprisingly nice day for the middle of winter. It didn't even rain like it does almost every other day in Sydney! Thanks Calypso62 for the event!

20-Jun-24
This was a fun event.I walked here from central, via the rocks and several waypoints to an old mystery multi I've frustratingly yet to put together. Thanks for the kitkats! It was so nice to put faces to logs I've read in many different caches, or briefly apologise for my log writing tardiness. ??A small group of keen cachers broke away together after the event to go scowl at the base of a tree climb in another park. Thanks Calypso62 for putting on this entertaining soiree in the delicious smelling herb garden in this pretty park. ????

Can make it after all - looking forward to a winter catch up!

So barefootjeff was the closest we got to naked dancing around a herb garden fire this winter solstice, but hey, the company was good, and our host provided Kit Kats !!!!!Thank you Calypso for a wonderful get-together...

It was a bit chilly at first but when the sun came out it warmed up nicely. Good to see the nice turn-out for a weekday event and I enjoyed all the caching discussions, particularly the tales of Norfolk Island. Many thanks C62 for another excellent event, and the KitKats too!

After a very chilly start to the day, conditions could not have turned out better for us to celebrate the winter solstice in the RGB today ... terrific weather, a wonderful group of like-minded people, and lots of great conversations. Thanks to C62 for putting on this event to mark the solstice ... and for the Kit Kats too.

Event #1 for today: Ahh, and the event attending marathon is on. This was a great event in a great location hosted by a great host who I happened to see on my way in after finding the cache "snakes and ladders" close by, where I also ran Ito EV briefly. It was a great turnout. Many thanks to C62 for organising this event for the winter solstice. ??

Lovely catch up with fellow geocachers, both new and familiar. On a sunny winter day adjacent to the winter solstice tomorrow. Fifth find of many discoveries today. TFTE Calypso62

The Solstice Day turned out perfectly after a very chilly start. The sun was shining, and the flowers were blooming. There was no nakedness around the sundial. Maybe the cold weather put them off!A good number of eager cachers came out to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Loved the Kit Kats, C62. TFTE

Well the CO certainly knows how to draw a crowd. Once he produced the KitKats cachers appeared from all directions. Lots of familiar faces and a good number of new faces, although not new to caching. Almost everyone stayed longer than the designated hour which is always a good indication of an events success. Thanks for arranging the event C62. Pity FPS aren't allowed.

Think I can make it to this one

14-Jun-24
I'm in the city so it'd be rude not to attend. Will bring smiles in abundance.

07-Jun-24
Hope to be there.

05-Jun-24
A nice place for an event.

03-Jun-24
I'll have to wait and see if I can attend this one. Hopefully, it's a yes.

01-Jun-24
Timing not ideal as I'm working, but slim chance I can make it. ??

01-Jun-24
That's a Thursday. Counts me out unless you hold it in Edward Bennett Oval in West Pennant Hills or it rains.

01-Jun-24
Unlike the midsummer solstice events, I assume in this one we dance around the fire with our clothes still on.I shall be there, with a smile on my face, and a garland of evergreen.

01-Jun-24
Sounds like a plan.

01-Jun-24
