Scratching around in the foliage for way to long then gave up and went to pick up my back pack and wait I have seen this before.Nice cache container. Not covered by anything and just a bit away from the hanging vines.TFTCIronbark
Well that took a long time to locate, I had just sent a message to another finder, when wazza9 said here it is, how stupid are we. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO Great hide.
TFTC,Wow, That took way longer than it should have. Amazing how such a simple camo can cause havoc. Visited trackables.
Today, for our regular Sunday public transport caching adventures, we headed over to Randwick for a couple of Traditional caches with a stop-off along the way at Central Railway Station for a couple of Adventure Lab stages to earn the Adventure Day 2024 Souvenir. Caught a 280 bus to Chatswood and a T9 train to Central Railway Station, where we collected the two AL stages, then caught an L2 tram to Wansey Road Randwick for a Traditional cache. Then walked to UNSW for another Traditional cache and some lunch, after which we boarded a T3 tram on Anzac Parade back into the Sydney CBD. The return journey was via a T1 train from Wynyard to Artarmon, where we hopped off briefly for another Traditional cache, then back onto the train to Chatswood and finally a 280 bus back to home. This was the 3rd of 5 finds for the day. After collecting the two Adventure Lab stages at Central Railway Station for the Adventure Day 2024 Souvenir we next caught a T2 tram to the Wansey Road Tram Stop in Randwick and walked (appropriately) up Tram Lane to reach Kynaston Reserve (The Forest) for this cache. The cache was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ, TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Its an interesting old sandstone & iron boundary fence at GZ, so there must have been some grand old building standing here at one point in time. TFTC LucasTheGamerSnake.Find #7141
This was my second stop for a caching day in the eastern suburbs. Parking was easier being as it was a Sunday afternoon. I walked down through the park and began searching where the hint suggested. No luck then a muggle lady came from I'm not sure where and asked why I was searching in her garden. I told her I was looking for a geocache and pointed out that technically I wasn't looking in her garden at all and that as a gardener myself I was being extremely careful to not damage any plant material.I then told her about geocaching. Of course she'd never heard of it.She had many questions - how many people have already been here, how many more people will come, how long will it stay? And of course "Who OK'd it to be placed there?" When I said "Geocaching HQ, she looked at me for a minute or so then said, "Oh, that's OK."She went away and I had another brief search and decided to leave. I walked to the end of the street where I checked some logs. That didn't help but I had another idea so I returned, and found the cache immediately.Signed the log, replaced the cache as found and headed of for another find.TFTC # 6266
Found on the early morning . Darkness has been my nemesis here! However today I found cache, lid and contents strewn all over. But ha now I could see its intended home. Put it all back together, signed and replaced in its home. Thanks for placing this cache LucasTheGamerSnake #2900
I believe the cache is stolen cus we couldnt find it sadly after 20 mins under the vines
Working somewhere over in the greater Sydney area, so can only do simple easy finds here and there. A drizzly cloudy day but not too wet for geocaching.Exposed cache hide meant a very quick find. Ideally it could be camouflaged to blend in. Log not in a ziplock bag -> soggy roll that tends to come apart if unrolled very carefully. Photo sent to CO. TFTC LucasTheGamerSnake
Grabbed with frazeydaze after doing some errands. Quick find as we spotted it on approach. TFTC
2 July 2024 A lovely green strip and a gentle walk.. with a geocache at the end of it.Thankyou Cool CacheCats
TFTC ! a trip with family up to sydney and found this little guy while roaming! good hide !
[FTF] @ 1200 with Cryptic8 and GeodogZelda. GDZ & C8 were keen or a walk, and with this new cache still unfound, we decided to take a drive to the ES. Following the path through the park to the role in the hall (or is it "hole in the wall'?) at GZ, I could see the cache on approach. After signing and claiming our reward, I replaced and moved some of the jungle vines so it was better hidden. TFTC
Found it. [FTF]. Out with Brewmaker and Geodog Zelda. Nice park, very quiet. TFTF
New cache in my area was still unfound when I got to work. Ducked out at lunchtime for 2TF at 1 pm. FTF had gone at midday! Oh well. TFTC
