Stopped off here during a caching day with SueDan83 and Meritonnn.A great cache container, very nicely decorated!Checked out the contents then had a quick chat with the CO.SL TNLN TFTCAwarding a favourite point
OCW Meritonnn and Sensible Sis in this nice quiet suburb, finding caches which Sue and I had previously found. However, because we had found them 6 years ago, it was like finding new caches. This cache was actually the only one new to us. Just as well that I had Sensible Sis there to unlock the cache and show me where to sign. A very nice Motel. Thank you very much widge76
TB drop, ant clear out again, more swag added, and new batteries for one set of party lights. Please remember to take one piece of swag each without the need to swap except if its an item from the treasure box, then please leave a high value swap. Thanks and enjoy!
Finalf29 and I decided to stop off here after nabbing the Box Vale FTF. What a lovely TB Hotel full to the brim. Thanks for the fun
I was running a few errands and decided to finally make the short detour up to Welby for this cache. Swapped out several TBs and some swag.
Dropped off two TBs and cleaned out some ants that were starting to move in! Have yet to get batteries for internal lighting but have added more external lighting! Enjoy ??
WOW WOW WOW. what a beauty. A fantastic letterbox.. So well organised.Favourite point for sure. Thanks for the visit to a local hotel.
Just Wow!! What a large and so well stocked cache this was, we only realized then and there that this was a quite new addition. We marvelt at all the TBs and I took one along leaveing the rest of the awesome content of this large cache for others to enjoy. I have noticed a number of other caches by the CO this weekend but this is very different. Awesome cache thank you and a FAVpoint for the effort and giving us the enjoyment. After the big hike most of the party were going to clean up and rest before the event tonight. Search4 and I were keen to get in some more caching beforehand (who needs cleaning up when you can cache a bit more) We soon ran into TikvaNZ and joined for a couple of caches. Before doing that one last cache on the way to the event in Bowral. Today:TikvaNZ had suggested a big hike at Mt Jellore and many of our Canberran caching fellows picked up the call. 12 of us set out to attempt a rather tough hike going by the T ratings and logs some of the caches we had planed on the off track return hike sounded daunting. After an easy start on the hiking track to Mt. Jellore we eventually had to go steep down and steep back up again, ropes and all on this official track. Didn't expect that but it was fun. A bit more up and down and after 2 hours and 45 minutes we reached the sattle of the mountain. An impressive looking hill. After all that and a lunch break we were facing the off track bit down the steep side of this hill. The big green grassland we could see at the very bottom looked awefully deep below us. But everyone was up for it and off we went. After some steep clambering we struck a lucky vain and found a path under construction which is clearly leading up the hill and will connect with the path on top some time soon. Very nice. We found the cache nearby and now headed on path over the river and up the other side again a very feasible route without any fences or bad terrain (other than the uphill walking). Soon we had the last cache in hand and now trying to complete the loop wer were aiming for the crossing we could see on the map. Staying high for as long as sensible we soon arrived with minimal bush bashing the crossing with the path on the other side leading straight back tot he cars. Albite after a long slow uphill walk give everyones tired feet. Wow I think we navigatet this off-track loop really well and were lucky on top of it. A feeling of achievement after this 6.5h 11km track with 500m of altitute gain. A big shout out to Tikva for suggesting and planing it all. And to all on the hike, what a great sucess, everyone made it! Thank you TerrificTrackablesTourism for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
After an epic walk in the bush yesterday, today Tankengine and I decided to have a slow caching day before heading home. We had an awesome start to the day with breakfast in Mittagong at the Station Coffee House. I ate the best corn fritters ever! We did a few caches, caught up with the gang for some more caches then headed home by late afternoon. All in all a great weekend away. Plenty of caches found, good company and some great food. This cache: Well that was pretty impressive! So many TBs and swag and shining things. I always feel uncomfortable with caches in peoples front yards, but after opening the cache I forgot about that. I was mesmerised by all the stuff. So cleanly set out and boxed. Tftc!!!
#22611 @1720I'm visiting Bowral for the weekend to do the Mt Jellore walk today, along with 11 other Canberra cachers. After the walk, I dropped by here with Flinstones and Search4. Cache easily found. Very impressive. Took 1 TB. TFTC.
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 on our Bowral invasion 6-8 Sep24! That was cool, but TNLNThanks widge76!
An amazing hotel and the perfect cache to end my road trip with SpaghettiDotCom! We dropped off a trackable we picked up in Victoria and took one each hopefully we can get them far! TFTC!
Tftc! Very impressive little hub here, the largest I've ever seen, full of swappables. Very cute setup.I've both taken and left a trackable. This was likely my last cache on this trip and it was a great capstone.
Checked up and added a few more bits of swag - please help yourselves! Lights arent working, will need to replace batteries
Dropped off a trackable and picked up another, great Hotel!! Gets a fav from me.
Please help yourself to one swag item each including the big stuff as I have a few things to go in there If you choose something from the treasure box though please ensure you swap equal or higher value to keep it fair thanks
OCW GGCoconut and HJCoconut. We'd decided this morning that we would head down to the Southern Highlands for a picnic lunch and mini caching day. We ended up getting away a little later than hoped and were further delayed when we stopped to assist at an accident a couple of cars ahead of us on the Hume Highway. Thankfully and rather miraculously, the occupants were able to extract themselves from their vehicle and though they appeared to be in shock, they seemed physically unharmed. With police and ambulance on the way, I was advised that I was able to continue on our journey. This was another target cache for us today and it did not disappoint! ?? It truly is a wonderful home away from home for all bugs great and small! Beautifully set up and organised with a trove of treasure to swap! I was so happy to drop off a few TBs that I've been holding on to for far too long ?? Thanks so much for placing this and for bringing us here today widge76. FP awarded ??
