Logs
Found with icw who predicted the cache would be where we might find 'Litoria ewingii' and he was correct. The log is full and I signed our names on what appeared to be a blank space, but where I suspect a previous signature had faded away. Tftc and a fav point for the container and its placement.
My weekends are normally reserved for spending time with the snuggle muggle and so I don't get many opportunities to get out to grab a cache on the weekend. However, tonight I ended up getting called in to work night shift and so I figured if I left for work a bit early, I could make a bit of a detour and come grab this cache. I had actually completed the associated adventure lab back on the 18th of October in order to get the new [Adventure Day Souvenir](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2024/09/save-the-date-adventure-day-is-october-19/), but on that day I didn't have enough time to be able to grab this bonus cache. So with needing to find a mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=2ea93f43-d6fb-4f7e-938a-bacef589ab2c&ds=2) challenge cache, [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N), I decided to make this one the target for the night. So on my way to work, I took a very roundabout detour to the [recommended parking coordinates](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/wpt.aspx?WID=3c6f1bf7-f22e-4325-a0e3-e5c7766e7277&RefID=e186f55f-8b9b-42fc-a7a7-94ddf657f7c8&RefDS=1). Of course by the time I had arrived the sun had completely set and this one turned into it's own sort of night cache. Well this didn't bother me at all, because I love a good night cache. I feel it can be so therapeutic and so calming to just escape into my own thoughts and not be distracted by noises and sights during a nice night time walk.So I grabbed my head torch and enjoyed the night time walk over to GZ. The lake looked especially beautiful tonight. I tried to grab a few photos, but none of them did the view any justice. Once I arrived at GZ there was a little bit of a struggle to find the cache, however after only two slips, (*let's just say it would have been much easier in daylight lol*), the cache was eventually spotted and the logbook signed. Unfortunately, it does appear that the logbook is now completely full.Well a big thanks goes to [QueenK8](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=a6a3c227-58a8-464e-a744-87f080f678a3&wid=e186f55f-8b9b-42fc-a7a7-94ddf657f7c8&ds=2) for the original fun I had doing the ad-lab, I loved the areas of history it highlighted. As well as all the fun tonight trying to find this bonus cache. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache guardian appeared in great shape and the retractable cord mechanism worked well. The actual cache container was in great shape and both the attachment mechanisms still seemed strong. The logbook was also clean and dry, but unfortunately the logbook is now completely full. I had to sneak my name in the same space as a previous finder.
Enjoying the glorious spring weather, I went bike caching around Ringwood Lake. After completing the AdLab, I calculated GZ and after a short transit, soon spotted the cache. A clever hide and a cool container. All in good dry condition. TFTC QueenK8 A favourite from me
Just loved the walk around the park. Its so close to home but don't use it enough. It has improved a lot since I was last here. Went the wrong way and came upon a rubbish tip. I was suprise to see the tents dwellers here although i had heard there were people sleeping here. Great little lab well worth a fav. Thanks QueenK8
Really enjoyed doing this ad lab and finding this bonus made us laugh out loud! What a cute ending and how appropriate! A Fav pt Thanks QueenK8
Coordinates were dead on, got a giggle from the cache. Left a TOTT lying nearby for future catchers. TFTC!
Came to Melbourne for lunch with a friend and did a few caches as well. This was one of them. Many thanks.
That was rather cute! Also had the steam train go past, which was a nice surprise and shock! Ha ha!
I had completed this a little while ago with OHC but knew that I would be back again once the grandies came to visit. Whilst they ran from point to point and read through the information trying to work out the answers, Papi also completed the A/L. They were a little torn about playing in the park or finding this bonus first but this got first choice and we visited the playground before leaving. I enjoyed watching them search for this knowing where it was hidden. Thanks for bringing us here with the A/L and this bonus.
We have a couple of the grandies staying with us for part of the school holidays. They are very interested in Ad Labs as they like looking for the answers and entering them on the phone. After completing the A/L, we went for the stroll and found what we needed. That was a mighty big jump. Thanks for both the A/L and this bonus.
We did the adventure lab first then came here to find this. It was a bit hard for us because we weren't looking in the right place but we found it after a while. Thank you for hiding the cache and showing us this great playground.
I was looking for a stress free day today so I aimed to gather some more of the relatively close Ringwood Ramble series They were guaranteed to but a smile on my face and on my mapwell planned and well maintained .. just the way I like it. I made my way to Ringwood Lake Park and was surprised by the amount of muggles wandering around enjoying the lovely day. After completing the Adventure Lab it was time for the bonus. I did initially struggle with this one but the cache was sighted when I viewed from another angle and I retrieved it with the help of one on natures tools placed conveniently below. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache and the series.
Having been away for a few months, I was delighted to see that quite a few new caches had popped up while I was away. It was getting late in the day, but I decided to push on and do this adventure lab. I calculated the coordinates for the bonus cache and headed to GZ. This is such a cute little critter, great spot for a cache.
A quick find after completing the ad labFind number 8998 on 24 August 2024. Mystery CacheThanks For The Cache
My first time in this lovely area and guided to interesting places to learn about culminating in this fun bonus cache. A favourite point. Thanks.
Out with au.fait we braved the cold weather to do the AdLab, then on to the bonus. Not quite so easy. More careful searching was required to see what was wanted, and it helped to come from a different angle. A great AdLab and bonus thanks QueenK8, and a favourite point.
I set out today to make the most of the nice weather and grab three new Adlabs. There were a few extra caches along the way. Having completed the Adlab, I headed here for the bonus. I searched for a few minutes before checking previous logs. I garnered a hint from a recent one and the cache was quickly in my hands. My thanks for the cache, QueenK8, and for the Adlab and the walk around the park. I'll give it a favourite.
Well when G&J GJMMelb suggested we visited this area - which was indeed rich again after the recent cache publications but alas not quite close enough for me from work to give us much daylight/time to find many at a time ... - we weren't sure if we could manage both the caches and AdLab on the same visit. Thankfully we could, although by the end of our walk we has well into twilight so it was no surprise that having reached GZ and checking various places as lead/mislead by our various devices I had missed and walked under this one, and it was G's remembering of the cache hide (via one of our FB groups I think as I recalled this hide too) that I changed my search perspective and spotted it. (It was dark, OK?!? ) Accessing the hide was easy, extracting the nano proved to be rather tricky and I dearly hoped there were no cache "guardians" (wildlife) lurking - burt eventually I managed to extract it, open it and log it without losing any of the little pieces!... TFTAL&BC QueenK8 - a favourite point from me for the fun, exercise, history lessons, and just getting to (re-)experience this place again!
A short trip out today for lunch and a few caches on a beautiful day in the sunshine. After a very pleasant walk around and learning some new things about the area we found the very cute cache at the end. A favourite from me.Thanks QueenK8 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
I had the pleasure of sharing this Ad Lab with Redcb this afternoon. I didn't know anything of the history of this area, and I enjoyed learning some of it as we progressed around the park. We gathered the clues and soon arrived at GZ and made a quick find. Thanks for the Ad Lab and the bonus cache, QueenK8.
I thoroughly enjoy doing Ad.Labs and I was looking forward to doing this one with Crustyvarmint. It was a bitterly cold afternoon and despite being rugged up Crusty and I were both well and truly feeling it! Regardless, we enjoyed our wander through the park which has changed substantially over the years I have lived in this area. We made our way around the prescribed route, and collected the required answers to make our way to find and log the cache. TFTC QueenK8
Although it was a little cool we had a nice walk through Ringwood Lake Park completing the Ad Lab and collecting clues. With the coordinates for the final in hand we headed off to GZ. The initial search did not reveal anything. Eventually we widened the search area and then I spotted something which was out of place. This proved to be what we were looking for and we soon had the log signed. The container was a 3-4 m away from where the coordinates suggested and this proved to be the case for a few more caches today. The GPS gods were not being helpful! Thanks to QueenK8 for the Ad Lab and the bonus cache.
Collected this Bonus for the AdLab. Always nice to be able to see things through to the end. TFTC
This cache GZ was spot on. My searching wasn't. Nice hide. Thanks to QueenK8 for the fun and the adventure.
Found at 12:18I ran into Fleabag- in the middle of the AL but we were doing it in different directions. Thanks for the excuse for the walk around the lake. A quick search at gz once the coast was clear. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache
Needed a cache for my calendar today - trying to complete it this year. Saw this new ad lab and decided to take a walk around Ringwood Lake and complete it and get this bonus cache. A lovely walk in the sunshine completing the ad lab and obtaining the info for this cache. Loved the hide, very creative and appropriate. TFTC QuernK8. A favourite from me.
Despite working nearby for over 20 years, I hadn't been to this park for quite some time... probably since I found the last cache that was placed here.Anyhoo, we made our way around to each location. By the time we'd finished and headed to gz it was getting quite dark.We searched and we searched. We read the hint. We read the logs. We widened the search area. Then the facepalm moment as something shiny reflected my torch light. Hey, what's that? Doh! How on earth did we not see that? Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, QueenK8 ~~
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #29 - a 25,000 step walk through Heathmont, Burnt Bridge and Ringwood. Loved the walk around the park to finish the AdLab and the Bonus cache. As the whole series was tagged as a "Ramble" it felt proper to do it as a walk. It took 6 hours from first cache to last but included a 2.4km walk in the middle between the 4th and 5th finds and over 30 minutes at one cache in particular. It was a wonderful walk around the area and I saw a lot of nice stuff over 30 finds (one not i the series). Hopefully, the incentive is there for all following cachers to do the same so the challenge is laid out for those who follow. This was our 256th 5TF and our 15th find in Ringwood Lake Park. Thanks from D B-A
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. It seems ages since I did a cache in here. An enjoyable lab and bonus. Thanks QueenK8 for the cache.

{FTF} gone at 12:59pm! I was sitting at home and contemplating going out for a bike ride in the rare winter sunshine with my hubby when I opened my emails at 12:01 and saw that this cache had just been published! I saw it so quickly that I was momentarily confused as there was no AL published yet, however, a couple of minutes passed and the AL app sent me a notification and it was all the motivation we needed to get on our bikes.A quick peddle and we were gathering the clues around the lovely Ringwood Lake Park. Being locals we knew where most of the answers were going to be and soon had the numbers in hand for the final coords.Getting to GZ we quickly found the cute cache guardian and my heart beat faster as we opened up the logbook... yay my first FTF for a long while!Thank you for the fun Adventure Lab and great cache QueenK8!
