Archiving as event has past and everyone has logged their attendance. Thanks everyone!
The thought of zooming down those trails got me quite worried, so I was glad to calm myself with a toasted sandwich after our 'long' walk from the carpark, and yes, I also helped tidy up the KCN fries. I didn't get to talk to everyone, but it was great to see you all. I had to go home and Google monk3ybash3r's hometown of Amarillo, where it's too hot to be outside geocaching for much of the year. Now I know the name means yellow, because of the soil, a nickname is Bomb City because it has a nuclear bomb assembly and disassembly facility, and it's the home of the quirky Cadillac Ranch. I nearly forgot, another claim to fame is the nearby National Helium Reserve. Enuf said, ( squeaky voice!). Great company and venue, so thanks for organizing angelic_kiwi
Plenty of people around, mostly with bikes, but not us! Nice to see plenty of cachers in the area too. Thanks for the event, there are a few this month.
Great turnout on such a beautiful day. Very busy area with cyclists and others. Cafe run off its feet but food okay. Pity no one wanted chippies as Im not taking them home. Bluebird did well and it didnt take as long to get here as I thought. Thanks for organising
I worked a little extra yesterday to have some free time to attend this... perks of the position. Never been here before, looks like a great facility being used by a lot of people.. cool! Great to see everyone, it's been awhileDont worry about the chips, KCN, the level dropped after you'd left! TFTE angelic_kiwi . Find #4921
Sorry, was planning on attending but boys football got in the way.....i think its the end of the season now....i think...although there is a tournament coming up!...
A very busy area. Good to see everybody it seems like its been a while. Thanks angelic kiwi for organizing the event.
I couldn't believe how busy this area was! We managed to get a fairly close by park so didn't have to walk too far. Good to catch up with everyone, and to meet up with monk3ybash3r from the States. We already had eaten lunch, but had room for a little something - I can recommend the caramel slice, it was yum ??.Got some intel about caching in South Australia, which was a bonus. Thanks for organising, angelic_kiwi. TFTEC.
#24165. We'd driven most of the way to the adventure park car park to get an FTF a few months ago, but this was the first time we'd visited the adventure park base area. It was really busy (great to see). We were a bit early, and found the KRs were already there. Numbers steadily grew from there. Was great to catch up with everyone. We'd had an early lunch, but enjoyed sharing an excellent caramel slice. I also took advantage of the KCN chips (rest assured, by the time we left only two or three remained uneaten). Thanks for organising.
Today Mr10 had ice hockey practice, but I negociated to drive him and Dad (who's doing the first help) then go for my caches and the event, before picking them up. Of course they were late, and I didn't much time to geocache, but could still find a multi and a mystery far from home. At the event, it was nice everyone again, it had been a long time I hadn't been to an event. I got some help on puzzles: "Try harder..." So I will keep on working. Of course I left a bit late, and a bike was blocking my car, the place was crowded. The boys were sitting by the arena, but didn't complain, as it was nice and sunny outside. Thanks @angelic_kiwi for organising!
A lot busier than expected with the meeting room booking not working out, but good that they were still able to find space for us. Thanks for coming everyone, great to see such a good turn out, hope you all enjoyed it.
It was neat to finally see this place and I will come again on a weekday. Fortified myself with a pot of tea and a chocolate slice. Thanks @angelickiwi for organizing this.
Nice to have a catch up. We went for a stroll along the walking trail afterwards. Thanks!
Great to have caught up with everyone and I managed to chat with most people but possibly missed a couple. As I had been out for a late breakfast I didnt need any food. I will have to come back and do some walking but not in the weekend. Turned into a very warm afternoon
Good to catch up with everybody. Haven't been here before and was very busy. Might have to be taken my bike up there sometime. Grabbed a tb
What a good find for the room! I will attend but have to leave promptly as the rest of the geocaching team is committed somewhere else and will wait for me to pick them up at 1:45pm. Looking forward to discover the park and see what it has to offer, and of course to meet some fellow cachers!
StreetWalkerNZ and I will be there. I have never been to the adventure park before so it will be interesting to check out, though I won't be bringing my bike ??
Wow, this sounds interesting! I have never been to the Adventure Park. I have a mountain bike but the only trails I do with it are normally ones that have geocaches on them
Hiya Guys due to an unforeseen change in our circumstances, we will not be able to attend hope you all have a great catchup anyway! Cheers
Hiya Guys we will hopefully be travelling thru Christchurch on this date & will try and attend all going well
Will be interesting to see just how far my bluebird gets over this side of the city. Hope its within the distance. Will be interesting seeing this area.
Ohhh, I haven't been up here before. I typically work weekends currently, but if I can swing it so I can be there, I'd be interested
