[georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) was keen to find the two tree fishing caches at Pioneer Park, and as I had visited this location a couple of months ago, this was my main target. Spotting the cache didn't take long, but it quickly occurred to us that my primary 10 m TOTT would not be adequate by itself - it could just reach the cache, but not enough to lift it off. It was then back to the car to grab the ladder TOTT to get extra height, and from there, teamwork made the dream work! The cache was brought to the ground, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was then a matter of reversing our operations in order to place the cache back. Thanks [dickbev](https://coord.info/PRA3Z4H) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Favourite Point for the unique challenge.----------Today, [georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) and I attended the [Rainforest Meander ](https://coord.info/GCAZ098) Event and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve near Maleny. We then headed north to Kirby's Creek and Curramore for a long walk, and then we tree-fished in Landsborough. After returning [georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) home, I spent my last hour geocaching around Beerwah, on what was a spectacular day of weather! The [Exploring Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/c4644fe7-d773-4532-9119-634c0e36d492) Adventure Lab was also completed whilst undertaking a guided tour by [AcaciaWattle](https://coord.info/PR177AZ0).

Today I ventured north to CITO up a storm on the northern end of Bribie with Seffnjarah and Deznjez. We left a few hours early with the intention of collecting some interesting caches along the way. With 10 metres of China's cheapest carbon fibre in the tool kit, we planned on grabbing any tree fishing caches along the way. This one was a bit of a stretch, but no problems. Thanks dickbevPete#8,111 @ [12:50]

After today's BBQ event, I had a couple of caches in that I needed to collect and one in particular that I needed to get some revenge on. So this one I tried to get yesterday only to see it was super high up and there were too many people around. Today I was armed with a truck and a pole and a little less of an audience. I drove up to the tree and parked the back of the truck as close as I could to the tree. I then jumped up on to the top of the truck and used the pole to do the rest of the work. Even then I was only just getting it up enough to get it off the branch. Finally down I signed the log and then sent it back up to its resting place high up there. Thanks for the hide and the fun I had here.

dickbev I found your cache Pioneer Park (West) on 11/9/2024, 10:45AM. This is my find 7016 and find # 2 today. That is high up. Came prepared with an extension to my TOTT. First time using the extension, once I got it and took it off the branch my rod bent over. I was worried I might not have the height to return it. Brought the container down and signed the log. Now for the return. Half way up and the rain started. That was not going to stop me. With the rod bent over and the rain on my glasses managed somehow to return it to the same branch, luckily there was no wind. Even luckier there was no lightning, I sure I would have been struck that's how high up it was. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Beardman75 and I have been left to our own devices the list maker of our group is off having an adventure in Tasmania with her wife So we decided to head to the Sunshine Coast with our bikes to do some select cachingAfter finishing the ride around the dam wetlands, this was the next stop, and the reason I packed the pole extension Easy to spot, and I extended my pole just to see it flail metres short so after added in the extension, Beardman made short work of the catch and releaseThanks dickbev Good thing the extension was packed as it was used half a dozen times today

We arrived well prepared with an extension part for our tool, which we definitely needed. We spotted the fish, got it down and signed the log. The wind gusts made it tricky to put it back.Tftc DickBev

Well I did not expect that. I was nudged at to the knowledge of this one and was sorely tempted to go for a late night ride but opted out.So was entirely expecting this to already have logs inside.A list of local cachers rattling off in my head while I pedalled myself the twenty something odd km towards it.Of course I read tokerau's note, then another got me real curious.Rolling upto gz I noticed a single person holding a pole right near gz. I wonder.Of course it was Nathan of Nathan_and_Alyce. But still no luck. Luckily my pole was just long enough to be able to reach the prize and gently tickle it further skyward along the branch, yet remarkably teetered on the precipice itself. Standing on tiptoe, pole at full extension, arm straining skyward gripped literally in the palm still fell mebe an inch shy of topping the last branch bit, so delicately adding the footstool into the equation, the prize was 'easily' secured and brought down..To a blank log! **FTF**Happy dance time! Thank you dickbev for a super fun tree fishing escapade. A bit sad that it must mean scrubby's hide over yonder must be now archived.

It could have been FTF here for us, but it was way up there, and we didn't have the required TOTT.

Joint *FTF* with SmallwombatReceived the notification for this one at work yesterday and considered getting it if it was still available when I got home but I completely forgot about it. I checked again this morning and to my surprise it was still sitting there unfound, I wasnt fazed about it considering its a 40 minute drive from our place at Caboolture and we know theres several caches that live in the vicinity so for sure wed miss out.I checked again a little later and yet again, nothing! Alright, lets go. Unfortunately Alyce wasnt able to tag along as we had a delivery that was scheduled to be dropped off sometime so it was a solo mission for me.After a longer drive that I expected I arrived and made the short walk towards GZ and soon spotted the hide waaaay up there, oh my, thats awfully high and indeed it was out of reach, roughly 2 metres short still, I came prepared as I know DickBev have a tendency of placing caches high up. I went back to the car to retrieve my little footstool only to be a metre short still. Hmmm, I had my work gear in the car so I brought all that out to give me a few more inches and yet again, still short! I was considering contacting the CO to see if I could borrow their gear as I know they have the required tool for the job, however, that wasnt required as a fellow cacher showed up when I needed help, talk about good timing. Smallwombat had the right tool for the job but required my footstool to give him those last few inches to lift the cache off its perch. We signed the log, replaced the cache as found and had a good chat for about 40 minutes. Thanks for bringing me here.#4415 - TFTC

After a fun day of caching with Konie, CuriousQuest and I were on our way home. I wanted to find a cache hidden this month, so we detoured via this one. The cache was quickly spotted and retrieved. We added our names to the log and then took forever to return it to its spot. TFTC
