I don't attend a lot of events but the locations that you are taking us to with this series are fun and a great surprise. This was a beautiful location. Even though there was a light drizzle, it didn't detract at all. Maybe made it a little nicer. Thanks for organising this event. Hope to make the next.
What another stunning location you have taken us to. Great to see quite a few people had braved the weather. It was bucketing down on the way to the event so we were happy that it had eased off by the time we arrived, albeit a little late. Looking forward to more out of the way locations that you are introducing us to. Thank you.
The rain held off just long enough for a great turnout of eager cachers to get together for coffee, muffins, lamingtons and a chat. Thanks for organising and hosting this event, Crack'n'LeeLee ??
*21 Sep 2024, Attended from 10:16am, Find # 15803.*Today I decided to head North to attend this event, when I left home it was nice and dry but as I was getting closer to where this one was located it was starting to get a bit damp.Lucky for us there was only a little bit of drizzle while the event was one so we didnt get too wet in the end.**Thanks to Crack'n'LeeLee for hosting this Eventcache.**
Attended this event today. It was fabulous to catch up with other like minded event tragics and discuss all things geocaching. Weather held off, coffee and snacks well appreciated. Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for hosting this Event Cache, enhancing the game board and adding to our enjoyment.
My GPS said I was going to arrive at 9:10, so I headed to the mount to start the Adlab there. The last waypoint wasn't too far away, so I headed there and began the walk. Only then did I realise that it was at the same spot as this event. Two birds with one stone. Nice. Thanks to Crack'n'LeeLee for organising the event and providing the refreshments. What a spectacular spot for the event - I had never been there before.
Headed over from Ballarat for event...and to have a little look around the area. Arrived way too early so headed off for the nearby cache before others arrived. Then spent the 30 minutes talking shop with others before needing to head back to home. Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee. My first visit to the area, but probably not the last.
Take 2, the event was held on a cooler day than the date originally planned. Last weekend it snowed here! Glad that wasn't today. Thanks to all who could make it. Always great to catch up. What a great place for this event. As usual, drinks were supplied along with lamingtons and muffins, laughter and a great catch up. I regularly frequented this area in my younger version and it thankfully hasnt changed. Glad I brought the big green beastie today as the potholes may have swallowed the I30 lol. Thank you CracknLeeLee. Another fantastic event!
We hummed and hahhed and decided yes so a tad late were greeted with Leahs hot coffee on a chilly day but thankfully the rain held off for a very friendly catch-up by the water. Thanks Leah
Thanks Crack n Lee Lee for organizing the catch up event today. Nice to get together and meet up for chat
Made our way here this morning.the wettest roads and track we have encountered all season. What a lovely spot..lots of cachers too. Delicious treats and hot drinks. Thanks for the ripper event location Crack'n'LeeLee.
With Portia loaded into the car we left Riddells in clear weather and sunshine but couldnt see the ranges as we turned off towards New Gisborne taking the back road to Macedon. A bit of a hint of drizzle on the wind screen had us thinking that we might get wet but it quickly abated as we headed up the mountain. We soon turned off the comfort of the bitumen and onto the dirt road out towards Lions Head. Lots of water to splash through on the way soon had the nice clean car christened. The sanatorium lake carpark was pretty full so we parked on the grass and disembarked. Met up with others just arriving and headed off down the muddy track to the meeting spot where hot beverages and luscious cakes were consumed amid conversations. There were moments of drizzle but that didnt dampen enthusiasm and newcomers to the lake headed off to the cache nearby. Portia introduced herself around the gathering in hopes that a morsel of cake might fall in her direction but alas it was not to be. With pleasantries taken care of the event concluded and we all started to make our way to the cars for the trip home. Thanks for the event and the company.
I'll be driving to Bendigo that day to Hockey Tournament in Bendigo and the timing is perfect so will try and remember to stop and poke our heads in and say hello
