Got my cache in early today with this ad lab and bonus. Great walk after thr rain. Seems to be a new favourite container for CO having found a few lately. Thanks to ahomburg for the fun and the adventure.
Found by Mary and David at 15:20. M was at a School Reunion, so D had to go caching. Enjoyed the Lab Cache and this Bonus, and the rain had passed. This part of the trail was all clear at the time. Our thanks to ahomburg.
Found after an afternoon stroll around the area before heading home. Thanks for the adventure and the cache.
Found it! Today I needed a mystery cache to fill a calendar gap and I was visiting Mum who lives down the street from the Lake, so this was the target cache for the day. I parked nearby and enjoyed a short walk to complete the Ad Lab and then set off to find the mystery bonus cache. At GZ it was a quick find. The issue here was 50 million muggles decided to walk past making it difficult to replace the cache after signing the log sheet! Eventually there was a gap in the traffic and I replaced the cache to its hiding place. Thanks for placing the cache. I enjoyed the walk and trip down memory lane. As a kid I grew up riding bikes, building cubbies and catching yabbies with friends in and around the Lake. TFTC SL
Came to Melbourne for lunch with a friend and did a few caches as well. This was one of them. Many thanks.
Struggling for a moment / few minutes until I adjusted my angles. Thanks for bringing me back for a lap of this great little lake / park.
There were several options but found it in the end where the gps was initially pointing. Nice stroll around the lake before finally heading into the office. Thanks for the detour
Headed our after work with Geoturtle37 to find a cache or three. After wandering around gathering the AdLab wps, and thus the clues for this bonus, we made our way to gz for a quick find, spotted by GT.Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, ahomburg ~~

I saw that a new adventure lab had popped up so we jumped off the train at Blackburn, hoping for a quick question and answer. This is a big area and we ended up spending more time here than expected. Coordinates for the bonus were sorted out and at GZ the cache was found after a short search.
I decided to get a few caches done early in the day as the weather wasnt looking great.I completed the good lab around this park and set off for the final. It always pays to double check the coordinates after calculating:Even if the spot looks perfect on the map.Even if the spot looks perfect in person.Even if the spot matches the hint.Even if you are pretty sure what sort of hide the CO will use and it fits the location.Always double check. Just 0.100 variance in the minutes will make all the difference, and it did.I spent way too long looking in the wrong spot, before finally double checking my numbers and realising an error which led to a new spot 100m further along.A quick find was then had .A big thanks goes to ahomburg for taking the time to add Blackburn Lake Adventure Lab Bonus to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! 14:09After helping tidy up the George Tindale Memorial Gardens following the recent storms, n0w0rries dropped me off by the lake for a wander while he attended an appointment. My first task was following this new Adventure, and I was just on my way to this bonus hide when my chauffeur arrived by the side of the road I was walking. While he finished his lunch, I wandered in and found what is almost a signature container by now, firmly attached in place. Thanks, ahomburg, for another excellent excuse to explore Blackburn Lake.#9199
Found. After an enjoyable walk around finding the Adventure Lab points I made my way to find this bonus cache. Between the Adventure Lab and a multi-point puzzle in this park, I have covered a fair bit of ground here today. I am glad that the weather was lovely today after the storms of the last few days.TFTC
I came out here last Saturday like I always do waiting around for my daughter to finish her VSL class in Box Hill. I wandered around this lovely park but ran out of time to grab the bonus. Today I came back to make the find. Thank you for the Ad Lab and Bonus here ahomburg
Out for another great afternoon of caching with Redcb, we completed the AdLab, noted the clues, and set off to find the cache. With Pilot guiding us, we enjoyed the walk and found the cache without any problem. Thanks for the fun, ahomburg.
A nice, "last day of winter" afternoon out with CrustyVarmint had us heading for just a few caches including this AdLab. We enjoyed our walk around the lake and had no trouble collecting all the required information to calculate our final GZ. Many thanks for the cache ahomburg.
Found at 14:45Out for a walk this afternoon and the AL gave me a nice guided tour of the Lake. It's always nice to have a walk around here.I had to time my search at gz as there seemed to be an almost constant stream of muggles walking this track but it didn't take long before I had the container in hand. Thanks ahomburg for the cache
Out and about with TanSaf today. Although the weather looked a bit dodgy in the morning it turned out to be a good day for caching. We enjoyed the walk around the area to complete the adventure lab and after a shot search, TanSaf found the cache. Thanks ahomberg for the AL and bonus cache
Out and about caching with Skylizard today. We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake completing the ad lab and collecting info for this one. A quick find at the location. TFTC
Happy to have found this cache and to be shown around this lovely lake! Will certainly be back! TFTC
Well that was a quick find of all the clues with a good ad lab, I can't say the final of the final was quick, gps had me within the margin of error, and I inspected gz on several occasions, I'm off to spec savers next I think Find number 8991 on 24 August 2024. Mystery CacheThanks For The Cache
Perfect weather today and we were going to go scootering bit one of us was not well so we came here instead to enjoy this lovely park. After a nice walk around we soon had our clues gathered and headed off towards GZ and met PinkPiggy7 on the way out. At GZ we soon found the very well themed vermin cache... or so we thought. (See photo)After moving a little further along we then found the real cache not long after. Thanks ahomburg for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
I was glad to have this one pop up closer to home than almost any other, as I had forgotten to find something for the International Geocaching Day 2024 souvenir... So I grabbed one stage and saved the rest to do tonight with G&J GJMMelb on our mostly weekly caching run. No problems finding the answers and we soon had the final coordinates. There we were lucky to still have daylight and a break in muggle traffic for G to make the find (J had a pretty good idea where it was though ) We decided to complete the lap of the lake and then after a chat headed off home. TFTC/AL
I didnt see this one had been published until it was nearly dark so it was decided to leave it till we had our Tuesday weekly meet up (weather and health dependent) with quiet1_au. Then on the Friday I was walking around Blackburn Lake with a friend and as I was walking along I thought hmmmm I think thats ahomburg and sure enough there was the CO a checking up on his cache lol!! So today even though I knew where GZ was we still did the whole AdLab as intended!! My favourite question was the one about the flower beds with a perfect answer from our point of view lol We enjoyed our walk around this beautiful place collecting the answers and info and then calculated GZ (although GMelb did reverse 2 numbers but immediately realised that was wrong as his result put him out of the park. On consultation with q1 we soon had the right answer) We made our way to GZ zigging where we had to, due to a closed bridge and continued on. On approach to GZ, the guys overshot as I had the advantage of knowing the rough area of where to look so I soon had the cache in hand. We then continued in a clockwise direction stopping at various pretty spots on the way. Thanks for anothe reason to walk around one of my favourite spots!! TFTALB ahomburg - fave point from us - GJMMelb
We had a nice walk around the lake searching for answers to the Ad Lab questions. Most of the walk was under blue skies although some grey clouds appeared before we finished. I been here a number of times for birdwatching and kept a lookout for any sightings. Not a lot of water birds - some Pacific Black Ducks, Eurasian Coots, a Little Pied Cormorant and some Australian White Ibis. We also spotted a couple of White-browed Scrubwrens flitting about in the reeds near the water at Pobblebonk Point. Once we had the information from the Ad Labs we soon had a set of coordinates. A quick search located the cache and we could sign the log. Thanks to ahomburg for the Ad Lab and bonus cache.
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Another walk around the lake to do the lab and bonusThanks ahomburg for the cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 184Sidetracked Cache Finds: 133Happy International Geocaching Day 2024. Despite the terrible weather today, we are out finding caches, as is tradition on this special day. Always lots of laughs and fun when out with Rebel Acts. This is one of the caches we found today. Cheers for the cache!
Out with au.fait, we loved our walk around the lake, even though it was cold. It is a beautiful place that I have been to often. Thanks for showing us around again ahomburg.
Having a great day which stayed dry in spite of a damp forecast. Loved the area and the various locations in the Ad Lab. Thanks aHomburg
Well this one took me a little while! Once I'd widened my search I found the concealed cache. Thanks for the wander around the lake!
A lovely Lake to wander around and so many different paths to take. This was a pretty tricky hide until I broadened my search. Thanks for bringing me here with your Bonus cache.
I set out today to make the most of the nice weather and grab three new Adlabs. There were a few extra caches along the way. After completing the Adlab, I went for a wander to grab this one. Found it after a couple of minutes of searching. Thanks to ahomburg for the cache, the Adlab, and for a very pleasant walk around the park.
FTF I had completed almost all the points (240 short) on ahomburgs significantly longer (6hr) adventure last Sunday, so when I saw this pop up I was intrigued. Fortunately I had an event on at ~6:45 in the next park along, and had 30mins spare to do this adventure and make the find. This was my first adventure lab - thanks for the push, they are quite interesting. Having done that I set out to make the find. Too many choices at GZ had me pacing up and down under the tree cover which no doubt affected the GPS. Eventually made the find. TFTC on a beautiful warm evening.
STF ???????Id had dinner and was heading over when pnja made the FTF. Nice - no pressure now I love this place, particularly at night. You can often spot sugar gliders, ringtails, brushtails, tawnys and sometimes even micro bats here.Funnily enough, I was here just a couple of nights earlier taking a troop of Joey scouts on a night walk. We had a pole camera and came upon a pair of brushtails curled up in a tree hollow.Really enjoyed my night walk tonight. Heard, then saw, a couple of brushtails causing a ruckus in the palm near the visitors centre. Then the beautifully clear clues led me around (and around) until I finally finished with a fabled EDC This has to be a fave from me! ??TFTC ahomburg ----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
