A plan was hatched to target this freshly laid geo-art. But when?Today was the day that all 3 of us had mutually convenient times. So we hit the road. Plus, a few close by of interest as well. Also an Event in Kadina. Quite a day.Great Geo-art and all caches found relatively easily. Thanks to the CO for placing this out here for us to find. Another great day out with Chezel and Weredunn4. Spent the day with Cheesel and Wayne APN doing the Mermaid, plus surrounding caches, plus a geolunch event at Kadina to break the day up.Really enjoyed this series on the less-travelled roads here.All caches found and stamped with 3 Stooges.

What an amazing weekend to be on the Yorke Peninsula with the gorgeous Snap Happy and the beautiful TheDame. We then met up with a great group of people doing what we do best - CACHE!!!Today we attended a CITO in Paskeville and then we all went off to complete the Siren of the Sea geo-art, find a few other caches in the area and we then finished with The Big Question series. What a fantastic series Siren of the Seas is - most of the hides were quickly found, but a few required a longer look. We cached with CPWanderer, GizmosGang, Mogni, SirSpectre, JJS2, TK2, Plesiosaur22, TubbyBooBoo, JeffEddy, Martini989, Tweety2, TravelinBees, AllisterW, Northstar76, Superman22, LiB, Earthlight, Shandyk, SpiderMonkeysMum and FrogHoppin. To save room in the log books our caching name today was "Siren Seekers" = "SS". Thanks so much for taking the time to place this series for us to enjoy finding.

Logging this one as part of the team that placed this next instalment in the seemingly never ending series of marine-themed geoart on the Yorke Peninsula. It was a fun day out placing and finding caches around the back roads. Thanks Fishy Tales.

Found after the Clean Up Paskeville Sports oval CITO. The siren of the sea geoart was found with a flash mob of cachers ( about 20 ). All caches in this series where found. Found with Mogni and JJ52. This weekend it was off to do the Abandoned Railway Sidings/Stations series both in Port Wakefield and also the Abandoned Railway Sidings/Stations trail between Moonta and Kandia plus any other caches that we passed along the way, plus JJ52 was hosting a event in Moonta for her 20,000 cache. It was a busy Saturday day and night, since we went caching after the event in the dark as well. Sunday started with co-hosting a CITO event at Paskeville early in the morning then meeting up with about 20 other teams and doing the Siren Of The Sea geo art then a early lunch and then moving on to do the The Big Question geo art with the remaining teams that haven't already done it. Then it was time to drive home only stopping for a couple more caches. No snakes were sighted but i did get nearly a dozen bug/ant bites over 3 different gz's and stung by a bee in the chest. For the first time in a very, very, very long time i didn't need to replace any full log sheets ( nano log sheets don't count, do your own maintenance ). A very, very tiring weekend given the amount of km's either walked or pedaled but a good weekend away. Surprisingly the weather was a lot better than expected not to hot or cold given the thunder storms either this week.

A beautiful day set the scene for travellers far and wide to meet and cache the wicked siren of the sea. All caches found, then off to a BBQ lunch. TFTC Fishy Tales, another beaut series. Signed as part of the siren seekers group.'For those who heed her call will meet their demise'.

What a day out!! Started with a CITO at Paskeville with many from the previous nights dinner event in Moonta. Many others had driven over from Adelaide for a fun day out. Was thrilled to see some kangaroos bounding through the fields, not often seen here. A LOT of rockery was turned over and some interesting roads navigated. What a weekend! Martini.989 and I completed our first lapof our D/T grid(YAY), then as an added bonus, we made ourselves a late inclusion on todays mission of the Siren of the Seas, ironically I had only completed the corrected coordinates in the last week or so. We teamed up with 2 other cars and off we went. I enjoyed our morning in the countryside, met some new cachers and genuinely had a great morning. Thankyou to all involved!

Found with an enthusiastic group of cachers!! There was some concern about the state of the roads after so much rain but in fact all were in good condition ( ........ although some were pretty narrow tracks!!) All caches were located although I think there was a collective groan when the hint "Rocks" was called out!! It was universally agreed that a series of this creativity and size would have been a considerable "Labour of Love" to set out!! Thanks for the cache ....... and the series!! We logged as the Siren Seekers!!

Today we hit the Siren trail with a team of cachers, all caches were found with many keen eyes, which was needed for some of the rock piles, logs signed SS for the group teams mentioned in a previous post, once we finished we all met up for a BBQ lunch with many contributions to the table, a memorable caching day outTFTC Fishy Tales

Claiming a beta tester find.

Today Astro, doineedthis and myself left Adelaide early and managed to complete the mermaid and more. It was a sensational day out, lots of laughs and discussion. The day was windy, but it really ramped up before midday, sometimes it was hard standing upright, let alone keeping the containers and logsheet from blowing away. The rocks hides took some time, but we managed to find all on offer, and they were in good condition. Thanks to Fishy Tales for the placement and ongoing maintenance. Today was the day of the mermaid. Ozgrumpy, doineedthis and myself threw ourselves into the water to chase the humanlike beings with alluring voices. Yes, we could hear the call from afar. No, this was not like a call from ancient Greece, but a call from Paskerville at the top of Yorkes. Somewhat of a different timbre for sure. And yes, there was lust for the caches and the temptation of danger. The wind was blowing a gale and the risk of falling branches was more than the risk of being lured under thew waves by your imagination.Just like the true mermaid, there was a divide between us humans and the siren caches. The divide was distance and the hide. The rocks caused some time to tick tock by. Then there was the waterfront approaching. Would the low-profile hull of the boat scrape the coral or be beached if it rained. This was to add to the chase.No weigh bridges were sighted. There was no time for stopping for the mermaid's kiss. Well maybe once.We left with a gross of mermaids and I left with a taste of limestone on the end of my lips. Again that's another story. Up from Tassie for a few months, tackling some of the Geo art which has gone down since I was here last. All caches found in condition and good coordinates. Left nothing took nothing. Thanks to Fishy Tails for this series. TFTC

Found it! An early start this morning with the aim to complete the recently published 'Siren of the Sea' GeoArt plus several other caches along the way. First log was signed at 06:38, the last at 13:19. Majority of the caches were quick and easy finds with the exception of a few hidden in rockpiles which required a bit more searching. With the weather starting to warm up I came across lots of flies and ants, several sleepy lizards, some kangaroos and 1 brown snake right next to a cache! (#081). With 10 caches left to find in the 'Siren of the Sea' I got notification of 5 new caches published near Port Wakefield so I quickly finished off the series before stopping by on the way home to successfully grab 5 FTF's!TFTC!

Time for the weekly Tuesday Trek and this time we were fortunate enough to be joined by another Confused Puzzlers team, muff1. With numbers on our side it was decided it was a good time to tackle the new Siren of the Sea series. After being picked up by the Starfish we headed north to the Rat's nest to meet up with her and the muffs before going west to today's playing field. All 144 Siren caches were found quite quickly except for those that weren't. And those were the only ones which had the hint refereed to, and that was usually 'rocks'. Glad it wasn't SPOR as when the piles are a metre high, a couple of metres wide and up to 50 metres long they can hardly be thought of as SPORs.Of course, as usual, a number of other caches were found before we split up with the Rat and the muffs heading towards home with the Starfish geo-vehicle heading in the other direction for a newish AdLab that I'd managed to convince the driver really needed doing.A long day, but a great day with great weather and great company, may there be many more. Woo hoo time for a Tuesday Trekking, today there were four teams.The teams consisted of SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5, Muff1 and ttrogg.The starfish picked up ttrogg from his abode.They headed to the Rat's nest to meet up the Rat and Muff1.We then headed to the Yorke peninsula.To do the Siren of the Sea series and any other caches along the way.All caches were found and signed CoPu. Muff1 headed over from Victoria to attend an event on Sunday of CPs, while we were there this series was mentioned so instead of going back to Victoria on Monday we decided to join the Tuesday Trekking Group and attempt to complete this series. On Tuesday morning muff1 along with a starfish the rat and ttrogg left the rat's nest at sparrow fart heading to upper York Peninsular. We managed to pick up a few other caches along the way, as expected, most geocachers will understand this. All caches were found, most were where we expected them to be one or two tried to play hide and seek and took a bit of extra looking. I picked up Ttrogg and we made out way to the Sewer Rats nest to meet the others. [^] Our target today was the new siren series on upper York Peninsular. All caches in great condition and found easily except the ones in rocks. Trust me you will glad to have 4 teams looking for these ones. All signed CoPu for confused puzzlers to save time and log space.Of course we detoured and made stops for various other unfound caches along the way that at least one member or another needed. Another great day with about 150 caches and 5 labs found for me.
