NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega. I'm also hoping to get a multi everyday, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip". Today is Day 3 and our second day in Christchurch. It's a lovely way to start the day with an event so well populated and a sunny scenic location to boot. Great mix of locals, other kiwis and overseas, and a lot of chatter about the upcoming Mega. Hope you went on to enjoy your much anticipated breakfast. See you in Dunedin. Thank you for the event.

Thanks so much ?? for creating this event Lnganfans. I enjoyed meeting you and your friends. I can't get over how far you four have travelled for such a short period of time. Enjoy your brief stay in New Zealand. We might see you in Dunedin at the Mega.It was nice to meet up with some of the regular cachers. I enjoyed catching up with Mrs Dimepodore too, we may live in the same the same city but haven't crossed paths for a while.Safe travels to the couple from the USA who I enjoyed chatting with and to everyone else. It was a good excuse for a bike ride on such a beautiful day.

I arrived a bit late but the event was thriving! A surprisingly large turnout for Monday morning!A refreshing new location that's not Coffee Culture or Latimer/Cathedral Square. ??Talks were mostly about the upcoming Dunedin Mega, of course, and I unfortunately didn't really talk more to the actual event hosts as I was also just talking about the mega plans with the local faces. Will see you again, probably down in Dunedin already! Have a great caching adventure around South Island!Kia ora! ???? Paldies! ????Thanks for the event, Lnganfans!#11417

Just before work, and I live very close by.. so I stopped in. Could see a small group as I left, and it wasn't long before a good amount of people there which was cool to see for a weekday. Enjoy your time in NZ, and I hope those going to a Dunedin also have a good time.. I won't be making it this year unfortunately. So many years caching and still haven't made it to a Mega... hopeless! Such a lovely day to choose for an event. Great to see geocachers from 4 countries. I did like seeing the photos of the skimobile on the snow in northern Sweden.TFTE Lnganfans. And so 7 days after returning home from a five month trip to the UK and Europe, I am off on another trip. This time its within New Zealand as Itchyfeet2020 and I are on our mega road trip to Dunedin. We are focussing on particular caches for various challenges, as well as having a great lot of fun and seeing the scenery in our wonderful land. -LET US HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!!On May 3rd, 2025, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in Rotorua, New Zealand with a special Block Party event. Join us to celebrate 25 years of this amazing game, and that the very first geocache hidden outside of the United States, 25 years ago, was hidden here in New Zealand. You do not want to miss this event, so check out the "[GCAKR25](https://coord.info/GCAKR25) 25 Years of Geocaching NZ! event page, the [event website](http://25years.geocache.nz/) for more details, join the [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/924894455969387) group, and sign up to the [email list](http://25years.geocache.nz/?p=4) to get updates...If you intend to come, please make sure you get your "Will Attend" log onto the page as soon as you can in order to assist with planning the first ever Block Party in New Zealand.-

A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in on Saturday after a bit of a delay.Im staying at the old Offices Mess building at the old Airforce Base and it is a wonderful old building.Day 3 begins so lets go find a few more caches.I met Tiz13 at the airport as they happened to be on the same flight over and we organised a day out after I missed their message yesterday so the plan was to meet up at the event near the Botanical Gardens.I parked the Geoloancar at the Botanical Gardens and made my over to here.A good group of caches turned up to meet the Swedes and we all had a good chat.Of course we located the cache that was very close by as well. Thanks Lngsfans TFTEC.

Tiz13 Snips and Co and Possums have meandered over the ocean to NZ (from Australia) for some pre Dunedin Mega shenanigans. We marked this event as our meeting point for the day before wondering off to find some caches. It was certainly a meeting of many nationalities.
